QUICK TRY ON: 2x Bottoms

Popped them on with the sweatshirt I was wearing. Not styled. Both items on my shopping list. Both items discounted at the time of purchase.

1. Green Trousers: Absolutley GORGEOUS impeccable quality. Much longer on me than on the model! Loving the fluid scrunch with the side seam zippers. Seeing this silhouette on the runways.....not that that's at all important! I'd have loved them anyway :)

My goal is to create a column of green. Looking for an apple or lime green jumper to match. In the meantime, works well with my navy, turquoise, shocking pink, burgundy, and citron knitwear. A few pattered blouses too.

I LOVE wearing dressy pants! It's become my thing.

2. Windowpane Wide Leg Jeans: A bit pyjama-esque, but I like that part! It makes me smile. No stretch, which I like too. Rigid, yet comfy, thanks to the tencel content. Size down a size. Runs big.

99.9% sure I am keeping both. But will sleep on it.....JUST to be sure.

Thanks for looking. xo

QUICK Try On: "Angie" Top + Trouser Jeans!

WINNERS!

1. Found the right bra, and the one-shoulder Reiss "Angie" Top that I've been thinking of for over a year. It's gorgeous! The most alluring item in my wardrobe, and I'm enjoying it!

2. Finally found dressy trousers jeans from Elie Tahari after a two year search. They are  PERFECT, and exactly what I was looking for! Sublime quality, dark denim, dressy, polished. They need a good hack, though. The model looks like she'e wearing a different pair of pants!

https://www.elietahari.com/col.....p202-denim

The trouser jeans have a blazer to match, and I might get that too....maaaaaaybe.........

3. It's cooled down in Seattle, and I could bust out my blue NAS Reiss top today. The cut-outs are genius-ly positioned because I can wear my regular bra and camisole with the top, and you can't see their straps!

Thank you Reiss for making exceptional quality and wearable items that showcase some skin :)

4. Had a few layers cut back into my hair to give it some shape while it grows out to beyond my chin. The awkward stage is thankfully OVER.

Plan to do many outfit posts once my broken toe is heeled. Three more weeks.

Thanks for looking! xo

Tried Flat Iron Waves (Pics)

Followed videos this morning, and tried "flat iron waves" for the first time. That means gently waving my hair with a flat iron for what I call "flat volume".  I'm not good at the technique yet, but I will practice and get better! It's different to my classic round waves, and I like to change things up.

Shout out to Sal, Gryffin, LJP, Tanya, Brooklyn, Bijou and Merwoman,  who might like to do the same. You never know!

Happy to provide the videos I followed if anyone is interested. All in good fun! Have a lovely weekend :)

Update: Longer Hair & WiW

It's been 9 months of VERY slow hair growth from platinum blonde super short pixie, to longer hair in my natural darker blonde. I have no grey (yet). I had an extremely short fringe, that felt like it had stopped growing at one point. Good grief - I almost cut the whole lot off it was so tedious!

Patience has paid off. All of a sudden today, my hair feels LONGER. Sweet victory! Trim tomorrow to neaten the back. Still have several inches to go, so growing without colouring till the end of the year. Then we will see where we're at! Hubs Greg loves my natural colour and never wants me to colour my hair again. Nice to hear :)

It's been HOT in Seattle. Record breaking for six consecutive days. Our loft does not have a/c and the sun belting through two sides of 22ft high windows is relentless. I've been wearing my breeziest clothes, and it helps!

It's a bit cooler today, thankfully. I'm in a very casual outfit WFH, doing errands, and walking Sam and Jo. Sack dress, pearls, and sandals. So easy! It's rare that I wear sandals, but I'm thoroughly enjoying these classic and dainty white gladiators that I managed to get in a NARROW size to fit my low volume feet. They are made in Italy, excellent quality, fit well, and extremely comfy. I highly recommend them if you like a similar look. Comes in colours. I bat for Team Naked Nails, so well groomed feet and hands, but no nail polish.

Thanks for looking! Off to make lunch and walk the doggies. xo

Great Extra NAS Score! (Update)

UPDATE: More walking around in the boots today. Threw the box in the bin. I'm keeping them. Let's hope I made the right decision!

.....at least I hope so. Walking around in them to make sure my long toes have ENOUGH room.

If they work out - it's another item ticked off my shopping list. Fingers crossed! $70.

Had dressier rubber rain boots on my list for 2 years. I've tried many pairs. They are hard to fit when you wear a half size. Also, my narrow feet slide around in rain boots and slip off! Not ideal when you're running and playing on the beach with doggies.....

These run small and snug which is just what I needed. I wear a US6.5 and these work well in a US7 (so far, anyway). No sliding around. The inners are warm and insulated. In fact, they feel a bit fleece lined. Excellent for cold PNW beaches :)

I got the white, which is a rich cream in person. Personally, I don't mind the logo branding. It looks like a geometric pattern, and will be mostly covered by pants and jeans anyway. They look polished on the foot!

Size up, and not suited to wider feet.

Show Me Your Wardrobe-Animal-Anything! (Blouse Pics)

I got the L'Agence giraffe and zebra citron blouse on my birthday a few weeks ago, and wore it RIGHT AWAY.

Here are pics that hubs Greg took on the day. With our real animals in tow - eating treats we got at a fun new pet supply store a few blocks away from where we live. The blouse is much brighter than the stock photo. My favourite blouse of all time :)

Next set of pics: Sam with a new toy! Jo with an old toy! Jo contemplating life. Sam and Jo after their haircuts this morning.

A dear friend gave me a pair of socks with real pics of Sam and Jo! BEST socks ever. I love looking at them.

Show me your animal-anything! Insects, birds, and fish count. xo

FINALLY, my Fringe is Growing

It was very short in December - like 1.5 inches long. And now I'm here! Wooohooo! My slow growing hair is finally making progress, and I like my natural colour. Like not having to sit in the salon for hours too. Wearing it wavy most of the time. Pic taken a moment ago.

Also, for those who wanted to see my successfully altered TRR skirt - here it is! Wore it last week to shop with a client (excuse the bad store light). Seattle has had an AWFUL Spring. Coldest on record. So on went the sweater and boots with the skirt. But today is sunny and mild - very welcome - and in a dress :)

My RELAXED Tulle Looks (Pics): UPDATE at the end

My new navy tulle skirt is officially one of my favourite wardrobe items!

I LOVE IT SOOOO MUCH! Major high happiness-factor. It might become a wardrobe essential  ;)

HAIR UPDATE: I had a trim this week, and my hair is finally one length on top. It took 5 months! I have the shortest of short bobs. My natural colour and wearing it wavy here. Now I can grow it out more easily.

I'm only scratching the surface of how I can wear the skirt. Messed around a bit at home with whatever I felt like combining. No planning. Sheer emotion, and had fun!

Denim, flats, shirts, sweaters, loafers, sneakers, crossbodies, and knit tops dress down the formal skirt.

Jo adds the very best affection and spunk to my look. Sam has retired  from forum modeling. He'd rather Zoom with hubs Greg!

Will debut one these outfits for dinner with friends in their home tonight. Haven't decided which. It's sunny and mild in Seattle for a change! Wooohooo!

Thanks for looking, and have a good weekend. xo

The Yorkie Jumper Arrived!

It came in blue and red. Red looked more "me" :)

Excuse the very bad dark and grey light, but here it is, thrown on with the jeans and pearls I'm wearing today to make sure it fits okay. Slouchier and longer than I usually wear, but I'm enamoured. The Yorkie looks a bit like both Sam and Jo, so I'm very emotional about it!

Thank you EVERYONE who was supportive on Bijou's thread:

https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....-for-angie

I don't care if I look juvenile at age 51. I LOVE YORKIES, and am proud to wear such an incredible creature on my jumper. It's authentic and I am 100% at ease. Greg gave it the big thumbs up too! Happy as a clam.

I'm going to dress it up with a pile of pearls and a dressier support act  too!

BR Corduroy Pants: Quick Try-On

They are WONDERFUL. Soft, relaxed, comfy, substantial, on trend, and a good fit. Rise not too high. These are my regular size and they fit perfectly. Come in Talls and Petites.

VERY bad light now. Dark in our bedroom. Extremely wet, grey and gloomy here in Seattle. Rained on hair today too. Such is life around here!  But love these new BR cords! Not styled, but will wear Winter-White-Out for sure.

And threw on the start of my Horsey Capsule......just for fun :)

Grab those cords while they are on sale!
