The Yorkie Jumper Arrived!

It came in blue and red. Red looked more "me" :)

Excuse the very bad dark and grey light, but here it is, thrown on with the jeans and pearls I'm wearing today to make sure it fits okay. Slouchier and longer than I usually wear, but I'm enamoured. The Yorkie looks a bit like both Sam and Jo, so I'm very emotional about it!

Thank you EVERYONE who was supportive on Bijou's thread:

https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....-for-angie

I don't care if I look juvenile at age 51. I LOVE YORKIES, and am proud to wear such an incredible creature on my jumper. It's authentic and I am 100% at ease. Greg gave it the big thumbs up too! Happy as a clam.

I'm going to dress it up with a pile of pearls and a dressier support act  too!

It is absolutely adorable on you!

  • The Cat replied 3 years ago

Oh, it's fun, and it's very YOU, Angie. The outfit is not juvenile, but playful.
Charming photos of all of you.

  • Tanya replied 3 years ago

Super cute and red!  What more could one one ask for.  Sam and Jo are stealing the show as they always tend to do.

  • CarolS replied 3 years ago

Oh gosh, that's adorable on you, Angie! I'd call it playful, not juvenile at all!!!

  • Angie replied 3 years ago

    Thanks, everyone!

Tanya, I can't compete with stylish Sam and Jo :)

CarolS, you are lovely. Thank you.

  • aloha emily replied 3 years ago

Soooooo cute!! You look joyful, not juvenile! Love it!!

  • replied 3 years ago

You don’t look juvenile at all . You wear everything with such grace and polish it would be impossible to look silly . Those are great jeans too !

  • SarahD8 replied 3 years ago

Fabulous sweater! I want to see it with your new orange faux-leather pants!!

  • Angie replied 3 years ago

Emily, I will take joyful :)

LisaP, that's an awfully nice thing to say, and I'm flattered. Thank you so much! I hope to live up to those words one day. These are the jeans, and one of my faves at the moment.

  • Angie replied 3 years ago

SarahD8, YES! We are thinking the same thing! The Yorkie jumper looks great with my orange faux-leather pants and red or cream boots. I have the perfect bag too:

  • rachylou replied 3 years ago

That is just awesome. Sam clearly approves (not sure if little sis knows what’s going on… ;) ).

  • JAileen replied 3 years ago

    I love it on you!

  • Style Fan replied 3 years ago

I love it!  It looks great with the jeans.

  • Angie replied 3 years ago

HIGH FIVE to the doggie people :)

Style Fan, you alerted to me to the red! Thank you!

  • replied 3 years ago

The jeans in the find don’t look the same as what you have on - the topstitching in particular . I also love the two - tone sweater worn with them in the Nordstrom photo . I’m really taken with these - even though I don’t need them . Off to see if they are avail here in Can !

  • pil replied 3 years ago

    Love it!

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 3 years ago

Fantastic! I assumed you'd keep both--one to represent each Yorkie member of the family. But if just one is to stay, I can see why you chose red. It's so cheerful. Adorable, with sophistication. Not juvenile at all, in my book.

  • Angie replied 3 years ago

Thanks, everyone! I appreciate the kind words :)

Firecracker, now I will need to get ANOTHER Yorkie sweater!

LisaP, mine have corn coloured stitching - NAS item - which I love! I guess the sample at the time of the photo taking on the model didn't......supply chain issues ;)

  • Jaime replied 3 years ago

Perfect sweater for you! And a big yes to what Lisa said - I do not see juvenile at all. You are far to graceful for that. It would be like saying Audrey Hepburn looks juvenile in short bangs.

  • Runcarla replied 3 years ago

What a perfect sweater for you for the holidays!  Subtle combination of humour and holiday cheer - in a ‘blink-and-you’ll-miss-it’ cheeky design.

  • Bijou replied 3 years ago

It's fabulous on you, it would make my day to see you wearing this with Sam and Jo on your walking adventures.

  • Grace replied 3 years ago

Angie, the sweater is exquisite on you! I wonder if Sam and Jo will recognize the image on the front of the sweater as resembling them?

Happy Thanksgiving! I am so thankful for the wise and empowering style advice you share daily.

  • Lucy replied 3 years ago

So cute! So glad you are keeping it! As a 40 something who loves to wear clothes with animal prints on them (foxes, rabbits, squirrels, hedgehogs, badgers, and greyhounds—just to name a few) I fully support wearing what makes you happy!

  • Cee replied 3 years ago

    *Rod Stewart voice*

    You wear it well !
    A little Sam-fashioned, but that's alri-i-i-ight !

  • Bonnie replied 3 years ago

Lovely sweater and it looks great with the blue jeans. The orange faux leather pants will look great, too.

  • Joy replied 3 years ago

The perfect sweater for you.  Love the red.  Love Yorkies.

  • Mirjana replied 3 years ago

Beautiful jumper, absolutely adorable on you. Great jeans.

  • Sisi replied 3 years ago

You look fab! The sweater is perfect on you, I like it! Funny, original and looks very well made. I agree that the Yorkie on the sweater reminds both Sam and Jo.
"Happy as a clam" - I like this expression, I will steal it!

  • Brooklyn replied 3 years ago

    It’s super cute.

If I could get a jumper featuring my baby reindeer, I would wear it too.

  • Janet replied 3 years ago

    So cute!

I still have my pug socks even though the pugs are no longer with us, sadly. (Not a day goes by that I don’t miss them, still!) My pug pajamas got too worn out and are now in the rag pile. I’m not much for cute prints in everyday wear except for maybe a graphic tee, but they sure are fun to see!

  • kkards replied 3 years ago

    Fun with fashion!

  • ChristelJ replied 3 years ago

Now that's a joyful sight! It's so you, and wearing it you are already spreading cheer. I really like the relaxed cut on you, too.

  • lyn67 replied 3 years ago

I knew the orange/red  will be the winner& wearing it  with pearls will never look juvenille! You all (3!) look Fab!:-)

  • RobinF replied 3 years ago

Very cute! Love the slouchier fit on you, cozy looking :)

  • replied 3 years ago

    Aww :)

  • approprio replied 3 years ago

That is so cute. With antlers too!

  • lynn replied 3 years ago

I love Yorkies too and might get one for our next dog. Are they hard to train?

You look adorable in the sweater and I really like your hair like that. Have a wonderful holiday and rest period!

  • Joyce B replied 3 years ago

That is the best sweater for you, enjoy it!

  • Angie replied 3 years ago

Thank you ALL for the kind and supportive words. I'm thrilled with the joyful and playful purchase :)

High fiving all the pet-people who get it!

    Carla
, you are right. It's the perfect Christmas jumper for me.

Grace, thank you for the generous comment!

Lynn, Yorkies are INCREDIBLE. Small dogs with big personalities. Very clever, playful, funny, loud, and quite easy to train.

  • JP replied 3 years ago

Adorable on you. It's not juvenile and it brings a smile on my face.

  • madeline replied 3 years ago

Love it! What is fashion if not fun?

  • replied 3 years ago

Merry and festive purchase! Does this count as your tomato red sweater? I think about adding a dog to my household but it’s not quite the right time yet. Pets are allowed in my building though and I am enjoying my furry neighbors :)

  • Inge replied 3 years ago

Best holiday jumper ever!!! And definitely red for the win here too.
It's going to make the holidays this year extra fun, Angie, what a super find!
Also: your hair has grown so much already!

  • Mainelady replied 3 years ago

Now that is joyful! I love it!  Happiness belongs to all age groups.

  • Jenni NZ replied 3 years ago

Very cute and happy just like Sam and Jo.

  • Debbie replied 3 years ago

You look adorable. a great nod to the holidays and Sam and Jo.

  • Angie replied 3 years ago

Thank you, everyone! I'm going to wear my Yorkie jumper this weekend.

Nikki, not quite! Need a solid red jumper too :)

Inge, It has! But not growing fast enough..... ;(

  • Helena replied 3 years ago

    Absolutely frickin' adorable!!

  • Jonesy replied 3 years ago

So cute and so perfect for you! I would love to find a sweater with my pup on it, but he's one of a kind :).

  • Roxanna replied 3 years ago

ADORE it on you. Agree, it is a bit slouchier and bigger than you usually wear. I don't think it looks juvenile at all but I love that you don't CARE even if it did!! Your joie de vivre and joy at DYOT has been inspiring me lately!

  • Eliza replied 3 years ago

Angie- this is such a great look for you. So much of style is how much an outfit both brings joy to the wearer and says something about who they are. Surrounded by your signature items, the sweater has the context of both your affection for Yorkies and your polish. Winning!

  • Angie replied 3 years ago

Thanks so much, everyone! I wore my Yorkie jumper to decorate our home a few days ago, and loved it :)

  • Cee replied 3 years ago

    You look Sam-sational :D

  • Beth Ann replied 3 years ago

Love the color and, of course, the pup!

This piece is a nice quality garment, which makes it much more grown up than, say, a fun souvenir tee shirt.  It suits your elegant and playful style.

  • Mary Beth (formerly LBD) replied 3 years ago

SO CUTE! And so cheerful! It doesn’t read juvenile at all to me, and I think it’s exactly the perfect thing to wear during the dark winter months.
Sam and Jo are so adorable, I can’t even. Jo looks like a little scamp

  • CocoLion replied 3 years ago

I think you will brighten everyone's day if you walk your Yorkies visibly wearing this jumper.  Or perhaps inside a store that allows dogs.

  • Angie replied 3 years ago

Really appreciate your very kind words :)

  • Lesley replied 3 years ago

I love it. Not juvenile at all.

  • Cardiff girl replied 3 years ago

Joyful not juvenile! You are smiling ,l am smiling, what a jumper,!An antidepressant in clothing form. It’s a winner as far as lam concerned.

  • Angie replied 3 years ago

Thanks for the sweet comments! I'm wearing my Yorkie jumper again today...
