OOTD: VERY Respectfully Neutral

This is what I'm wearing at home today. NOW, with nowhere to go but walk Sam four times a day from our loft in downtown Seattle. No grocery runs for a while either. We are staying home very, very seriously to help the Seattle healthcare system, who has been in the thick of it for a while.

Today is "Doctor's Day", and Sam and I BOW DOWN to them and ALL healthcare workers for fearlessly and selflessly doing their jobs. Words cannot express my gratitude. I respectfully chose neutrals for my serious, less playful, appreciative, and pensive mood.

  • Wearing a double thick Heattech thermal tee under the classic polka dot shirt to stay warm. Very effective!
  • Trendy tan carrot pants - which I also have in olive. The idea was to return a pair. But I did not have the heart in these strained retail times. But I love both pairs so it's good :)
  • AT HOME ONLY chunky Seinfeld sneakers make my feet happy. Supported.
  • Trench coat for Spring showers, and white Furla

Changed into rubber wellies because it's wet and windy outside.....and we got caught in a blasted hail storm :(

But I am looking upward with my hand on my heart. Always calm, positive, hopeful, and grateful. And will bang my heart out on pots and pans outside on our balcony at 8pm tonight in appreciation for our healthcare workers. We have that tradition in Seattle, and it rocks! xo

OOTD: ENERGY

I workout at 5.30am ish and wear yoga clothes. After that I shower and wear my outfit for the day. I change into lounge clothes after supper. So I wear my day outfit a LONG time.

This is what I'm wearing today. At home. With nowhere to go apart from take Sam on his daily walks. We are on VERY strict State of Washington STAY AT HOME orders. We are being extremely obedient. 4th week....

I am a completely emotional mood dresser! This morning I had lots of energy so I chose an outfit that reflected those feelings. Red = ENERGY.

  • Last season's red wide crops
  • This season's cropped turquoise pullover
  • AT HOME ONLY trendy Seinfeld sneakers. (Changed shoes to go outside)
  • 5 year old red jacket
  • 5 year old turquoise Furla

Comfy as can be as I work, clean, cook, walk, connect, watch the news, play with Sam, and organize. I cleaned, cooked and sanitized all afternoon - with a gigantic apron over this! (No jacket)

My sheltering and isolating normal:

Styled hair, make-up, wearing my pretty clothes, specs, glam pearls, Apple watch, big smile, calm, energetic, sense of humour, and not spreading fear. No rings at all.

After a week of seeing Spring outfits that are nothing but my regular style, you might understand why I love to wear colours. I am very consistent with the colours that I like. Sam has collars to match, they are all over our home, and we have mugs that match too :)

Off to walk Sam and rest my back. xo

OOTD: Neutrally Neon

This is what I'm wearing today. At home. With nowhere to go apart from take Sam on his daily walks. Will go grocery shopping next week. It's our 3rd week of staying at home since we live in Seattle (where the virus started in the US). We are getting very used it....

I felt like wearing neutrals and some golden oldies today, so I hauled out my 9 year old short neon coat with fun inner piping, and eight year old pink Kate Spade satchel. Combined it with navy windowpane wide crops, tucked cream pullover, and at-home-only vanilla metallic sneakers. Comfy as can be as I work, clean, cook, walk, connect and organize :)

My sheltering and isolating normal:

Styled hair, make-up, wearing my pretty clothes, specs, glam pearls, Apple watch, big smile, calm, energetic, sense of humour, and not spreading fear. I am leaving off my wedding rings because of excessive hand washing, sanitizing and moisturizing.

I wear lots of trendy pairs of pants! Love them as much as my jeans.

And that's a highly sought after Clorex wipe in #11. Didn't realize I was holding it in my hand. Sam is as cool as a cucumber, and a lot more interested in his ball....

OOTD: Bubblegum Checks & Dynasty

This is me today. At home in Seattle with my boys. Working, cooking, cleaning, catching up with friends everywhere from my phone, watching tele, and glued to the news.

I'm casual, comfy, energetic and smiling with Sam. And smiling because I'm wearing my "Dynasty Crystal Carrington" bubblegum sweatshirt that screams the '80s. I LOVE THE '80s :)

These are my second pair of AT HOME ONLY SNEAKERS that I had new and boxed ready in the wings (duplicated last year). A trendy chunky Seinfeld look that makes me once again think back to my fab Varsity days in the '80s. And my word - I have seen the supportive sneaker light. Much better than wearing my slippers all day......day after day......

My sheltering and isolating drill:

Styled hair, make-up, wearing my pretty clothes, specs, glam pearls, Apple watch - and nowhere to go but take Sam on his walks. I am leaving off my wedding rings because of excessive hand washing, sanitizing and moisturizing.

  • New checked pants. Best Theory pants I've ever owned, and I've owned many pairs. SUBLIME quality and fit.
  • I love bubblegum pink puffy sleeves!
  • Light blue Furla is a few years old
  • Denim jacket is five years old

I'm all over these shorter fluid tops with welts. Very versatile for my assortment of bottoms.

I like to mix pastels with brights and white. And that's why white shoes work well for my outfits. Working my way back to a perfect Dancer's pose too.

OOTD: Sailor Citron Sky

This is me today, a little dressier than yesterday, in our Seattle home. Didn't wear my fuzzy trucker out - just inside for a bit because, why not? I felt like it :)

First of all: AT-HOME-ONLY PRETTY SNEAKERS ARE THE BOMB. Best sheltering and isolating style decision I've made. Game changer, so high five Becky. My feet feel soooo much more supported, and my outfit feels complete. (These shoes do NOT go outside because we don't wear outside shoes in the house).

Every clothing item here is new in 2020:

  • Sailor jeans with cropped citron sweater to showcase the buttons
  • Fuzzy trucker, pink Furla, and pink sneaks soften the sour bright and dark blue
  • Red specs, watch, pearls and make-up daily because I like glam! It makes absolutely no difference that I have nowhere to go but take Sam on his walks.
  • Styled hair that needs a trim, so am tucking the sides behind my ears. Ears can come in handy....

And guess what. Today I was able to do tree pose for the first time after 4 months since my fall - with little Sam in tow. I'm on the mend.

OOTD: Mega Milkshake Casual

This is me today, at my most casual, in our Seattle home.

Sweatshirt and new Everlane white jeans. The jeans are roomier on me than on the model. LOVE them! Like tailored high-rise BF jeans. Fitted, yet relaxed, and very comfy. Not too soft.

Wearing two stands of pearls at home because, why not? I like glamming :)

Changing things up with a pair of HOUSE ONLY sneakers that will not go outside. (We don't wear outside shoes at home). They are a duplicated pair I had newly boxed in my closet, and were ready to go. Handy.

I go out a few times a day to walk Sam so pop on a jacket/coat, bag and outside sneakers. No pic of that look, but I wore my red aviator, turquoise crossbody and hi-tops with this outfit - the last three Finds.

Hair styled, make-up applied, watch on, accessorized, active, calm, level-headed, positive, and Sam is as happy as a clam!

OOTD: Puffed Carrot

This is what I'm wearing right now, (and yesterday actually) - Saturday and Sunday at home. We've been staying at home for weeks - in SEATTLE - practicing social distancing. We are good!

I wear my regular pretty clothes..... with my slippers. Showered, style my hair, apply make-up, wear pearls, specs and watch.  When I go out to walk Sam or do groceries, I pop on a coat, scarf and sneakers.

Navy puffed sleeve polka dot mixed media top tucked into olive carrot pants. Deliciously '80s, and the silhouettes bring back fond memories! Quiet neutrals ..... my way :)

Yup. Hair is due for a trim. I'll be bobbed by July with salons closed. Hair project!

(Belltown is our neighbourhood in Seattle. We are calm, productive, positive and strong).
