BR Corduroy Pants: Quick Try-On

They are WONDERFUL. Soft, relaxed, comfy, substantial, on trend, and a good fit. Rise not too high. These are my regular size and they fit perfectly. Come in Talls and Petites.

VERY bad light now. Dark in our bedroom. Extremely wet, grey and gloomy here in Seattle. Rained on hair today too. Such is life around here!  But love these new BR cords! Not styled, but will wear Winter-White-Out for sure.

And threw on the start of my Horsey Capsule......just for fun :)

Grab those cords while they are on sale!

Gorgeous! The first outfit is simply divine!

Oh these are gorgeous ! I’m off to check if they are on sale here in Can .

  • rachylou replied 2 years ago

    Stunning! :)

  • Tanya replied 2 years ago

They are amazing on you!  Also, love the beginning of the Horsey Capsule.   They don't appear to be on sale anymore, but I am sure that will change again, especially as we get closer to Thanksgiving.

  • slim cat replied 2 years ago

Just fabulous! New blue specks are perfect on you!

  • Bijou replied 2 years ago

Perfect! I love the idea of an equestrian capsule for you too.

  • Debbie replied 2 years ago

    Absolutely beautiful. They fit amazingly!

  • Suz replied 2 years ago

Those are gorgeous, Angie!! Love them on you!

Am chuckling that you have gone for corduroy, though, I must say! Never say never, as you always tell us, right? Right!

BR is really doing a stellar job this year. So much better than the last few years!

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 2 years ago

They look great on you, Angie! I bought the same cords and returned them because they didn't fit me so well. :(

  • Sally replied 2 years ago

I used to have  this funny image associated with cords being a bit farmish and best worn with gumboots but you have blown it out the window.  These are great and you have made them look elegant and sophisticated......not farm wear at all!

  • Katerina replied 2 years ago

    PERFECTION!
What do you mean - not styled? Both outfits look amazing :-)

  • Jules replied 2 years ago

So fab! I love cords for winter, I find them warm and cozy and visually rich.

  • kkards replied 2 years ago

    Wow, these are fab!

  • Janet replied 2 years ago

    Those are great on you!

I’d be curious to try the tobacco color, but my size is sold out, even in tall.

  • Star replied 2 years ago

    Looking fabulous as always!

  • Bonnie replied 2 years ago

Both versions look wonderful. I haven't had a pair of cords for a long time but maybe it's time.

  • Roberta replied 2 years ago

I just purchased these and second your rec! They are a lovely ivory and the wide wale corduroy is so cozy. I will wear them with the NAS cream Edelman combat boots and feel smug.

  • kellygirl replied 2 years ago

De-light ful! You wear white like nobody else. Such a fresh wintery look! Love these on you!

  • Grace replied 2 years ago

These outfits are beautiful on you. Especially love them with the lighter specs and the pile of pearls on the dark sweater! Hope sunshine comes your way soon.

  • Jonesy replied 2 years ago

The light looks perfect in these pics--or maybe you are illuminating the space with your gorgeous light-colored pants and sweater :)! I love these cords, and the fit looks perfect. I bought a pair of cream cords from J. Crew recently, and they are comfy and look fine, but the fabric is a little thin, so I'm envious of your nice, thick ones!

I love, love, love your horsey capsule! It suits you and what could be better than a sentimental connection based on your love of horses?

  • Irina replied 2 years ago

    Beautiful! Killer look, Angie :)
I still can’t imagine myself wearing cream pants and boots in winter but under your influence, I am willing to try.

  • Angie replied 2 years ago

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

Tanya, you are right. Sale soon I bet.

Suz, I'm laughing with you! ;)

Janet, there is size availability at the moment! Check again.

Roberta, I'm wearing the cords with our boots, now. HAH :)

Jonesy and Grace, thanks for the sweet thoughts!

Sharan, I can't imagine these looking anything but good on you.

    Irina, you have been challenged!

  • Jenni NZ replied 2 years ago

They look great on you Angie. Did you not usually like cords?- why is Suz chuckling? I’m not unhappy that I returned the ones I tried during our winter but might try again with a different shape next year, as the 2 pairs I’ve owned in the past were so warm and cosy.

  • Angie replied 2 years ago

Jenni NZ, I did not like corduroy pants. Not poison eye, but not my thing. Joke's on me now - big time! I have two pairs and love them :)

  • CarolS replied 2 years ago

These look so fab on you, Angie. I haven't worn cords in decades. I wish I still had (and still fit!,) a pair of cream pin wale Esprit cords from that long ago time. I do remember feeling fabulous in those.

I also love the white sweater. Keeping an eye for something similar.

  • Janet replied 2 years ago

Ah, I see they seem to be back in stock in more sizes now. Not on sale anymore I guess? Oh well. I’ll have to ponder whether to give them a try. I have one pair now, not sure if I need another…

Never mind — I found the sale promo code! Not a bad deal…

  • Jaime replied 2 years ago

I want to cast you as the Glinda the good witch in a modernized Wizard of Oz. Absolutely dreamy on you!

  • Greyscale replied 2 years ago

I have been so impressed with Banana Republic this year! Those corduroys look lovely on you, and I like the color even more in person than in the catalog.

I got a lovely fine-wale corduroy shirt from COS this year - first corduroy I've owned since my grunge high school days. I love it.

  • delurked replied 2 years ago

I definitely remember you seemed to have a "corduroy is nice on others" thing going. So glad you have added it to your wardrobe. I really love the all cream ensemble. I think it's very you and very luxe looking.

Many years ago I wore corduroy pants as a way to sneak past a no jeans policy at work. They were a staple at that time for me.

  • Angie replied 2 years ago

Greyscale, AGREED. BR is doing soooo well! And producing sustainably and ethically too. Your COS skirt sounds fab.

delurked, good memory - and thank you :)

  • cobaltblue replied 2 years ago

So it's been forever since I posted, but ANGIE and CORDUROY together in the same sentence caught my attention.

I'd buy them in at least two colors and pick them up when I'm in the US for Christmas, but they're sold out in my size, alas. Will enjoy them on you!

  • Mary Beth (formerly LBD) replied 2 years ago

Angie, these are really cute! I love both of these looks, and I’m planning to recreate them with what I already have (although I am definitely feeling the lack of horsey items abs white booties in my wardrobe now!)

  • Angie replied 2 years ago

YES, Cobalt Blue. You have been in YLF long enough to remember that! :)

Mary Beth, a horsey Ralph Lauren high five!

  • Inge replied 2 years ago

I do loooove a pair of cream cords, and these are such a great fit, Angie!! Beautiful with your booties and the new horsey sweater too!!

  • sarah replied 2 years ago

Gosh. For not being styled, you look so amazingly pulled together! I've enjoyed wearing cords the past couple of years, but I lost about 10 lbs during the pandemic and mine don't fit anymore. So thanks for this recommendation! I'll see if these work as replacements.

  • Helena replied 2 years ago

Oooh, I love these!!! *adds to wishlist*

  • Stagiaire Fash replied 2 years ago

Those are great on you. Much whiter than the stock photo. Love the quickie white-out. I’m smiling at the horsey hype

  • Jenava replied 2 years ago

I just got these, too! We are vibrating on the same wave-length.

I find I wish the rise were a little higher for me. I have a high rise, though. I haven't take off the tags yet, but I'm going to try them in an outfit today and see how I feel.

  • Angie replied 2 years ago

Jenava, we are! I wore them over the weekend and LOVE them. I wish they came in red. Let me know what you think. They are amazing with our NAS boots.

Inge, Helena, and Stag, thank you! More about the horsey hype this week :)

Sarah, and they come in petites. I bet fab on you.

  • Eliza replied 2 years ago

Those cords are amazing on you, Angie. Love both looks and know there will be more to come. I will keep checking for more options in tall sizes. They read beautifully, even on-line. Enjoy!

  • lyn67 replied 2 years ago

Oh, think  I waited for this one subconsciously!:-) I am also on the same winter white out wavelength but haven't put together the outfit yet (thus mine will be rather a dress or a skirted one). Love your white out outfit sooo much and am happy to see you found your cords and so why not in white! The sweaters are both gorgeous, too.  THE NEW SPECS and HAIR are then.... K2K!:-)

  • RobinF replied 2 years ago

Those are gorgeous cords! Love the camel color too.

  • Laura replied 2 years ago

Winter white-out and equestrian fabness all in one post! I'm attempting to take it all in but my eyes keep going to your JCrew boots which are absolute genius and manage to elevate every outfit. I love mine and am so glad you recommended them!

  • Karie replied 2 years ago

Beautiful! Both looks are gorgeous, but I especially love the total white out.

  • Angie replied 2 years ago

Thanks, everyone! I'm wearing the White-Out today and love it :)

  • Vicki replied 2 years ago

I’m loving this horsey theme on you and you’ve got cred! I have a corduroy pair of Ralph Lauren jodhpurs that are ancient, vintage or whatever you want to call them and I’m glad I hung on to them (my tailor adjusted the waistband to make them a wee bit forgiving after all these years). Yet, every time I wear these pants I think of you and those amazing denim jodhpurs.

  • replied 2 years ago

    Wow these are great!

  • Zibbets replied 2 years ago

Oh wow, those are gorgeous! I just bought and returned the Jcrew factory winter white corduroys because they were not opaque enough. I'll be stalking BR. Thanks, Angie!

  • Angie replied 2 years ago

Vicki, I want your jodhpurs! KILLER on you.

Zibbets, I hope they come back into stock.

    Suntiger, :)

  • Cee replied 2 years ago

I'm running out of microphones to drop !

  • Mirjana replied 2 years ago

You look adorable in White-out sweet Angie. Love, love so much.

  • Angie replied 2 years ago

Thanks, Cee and Mirjana, Lovely to see you chime in!
