FINALLY, my Fringe is Growing

It was very short in December - like 1.5 inches long. And now I'm here! Wooohooo! My slow growing hair is finally making progress, and I like my natural colour. Like not having to sit in the salon for hours too. Wearing it wavy most of the time. Pic taken a moment ago.

Also, for those who wanted to see my successfully altered TRR skirt - here it is! Wore it last week to shop with a client (excuse the bad store light). Seattle has had an AWFUL Spring. Coldest on record. So on went the sweater and boots with the skirt. But today is sunny and mild - very welcome - and in a dress :)

Yay re: hair :) Love!!! The!!!! Skirt!!!!!!

  • Runcarla replied 1 year ago

Hair is looking very nice, as is outfit.  Cool and rainy here as well (I’m in a sweater, and my hair is a fuzz ball from the humidity.)

I’ve been growing out my fringe too.  From tip of nose, it is now chin length, but you would never know it due to curl.  I have maybe 6 more months to go?!

Hair looks lovely.  Your natural colour is pretty.  Great skirt.

  • rachylou replied 1 year ago

Oh golly olly! Smash hit! :)

  • merwoman replied 1 year ago

Swooning at the fabness of it all!
The fringe! Texture and colour is fantastic, really gives your hair a lot of volume.
And the outfit! Skirt alterations are perfection and that gorgeous handbag is the cherry or is that lemon on the top!

Looks lovely, Angie! Your natural hair color is fab.
I'm going to get my hair cut, finally, tomorrow. My fringe is now long and will be almost gone once my hair cut shorter. so curious how it will look.
My last haircut was in October!!!

L.O.V.E. the hair, and you are rocking the heck out of that skirt!  I'm glad you're living life in the sunshine today.

  • Lana replied 1 year ago

Your hair looks fab! How long are you going for? Love the Jason Wu skirt, a thing of beauty with the front panel.

  • BlueJay replied 1 year ago

It must feel good to finally be over the "awkward" period of waiting for your fringe to grow out. It looks great on you!

I LOVE your skirt, Angie! Gorgeous!

  • Jenni NZ replied 1 year ago

All looks awesome Angie. I’m amused that you like not spending hours in the salon. I never wanted to do that- might be part of the reason for my minimalist hair. But then I just spend the hours on YLF instead!

  • unfrumped replied 1 year ago

Love the rich shades of your hair color!

  • Janet replied 1 year ago

Yay for embracing the natural color and texture of our hair! Yours is lovely.

Your hair is so pretty - both color and style.

RunCarla, a long fringe by Christmas!

Lana, I have several inches to go. But I'm finally at a more manageable length. Must hang in there.....

Merwoman, posted the skirt for you since you asked about it! Thanks for enquiring , and go Team Citron!

Irina, exciting! Post a pic tomorrow.

Xtabay and SlimCat, you're very sweet! The lovely weather today is quite the mood lifter.

JenniNZ, your comment made my day! :)

Blue Jay, Janet, Rachy, Suntiger, Unfrumped, Helena, and JAileen, lovely to see you chime in, and appreciate the kind words.

    Super cute!

  • merwoman replied 1 year ago

Thank you Angie, lovely to see the skirt in action, bet it feels divine!

  • nemosmom replied 1 year ago

Wow! Love the easy breezy vibe of your longer fringe! Your natural color is stunning, too!

  • Jaime replied 1 year ago

Beautiful! You know there are advantages to slow growing hair Angie - mine grows so fast that if my 6 week appointment is delayed (as it is now for over a week) I feel a wreck ;) . Anyway, I just love the texture and gradations of color in your hair - and the skirt is a winner too!

  • ChristelJ replied 1 year ago

I really, really love this hair. Terrific skirt also, and such a cute bag.

  • Karie replied 1 year ago

Very pretty! Beautiful hair and skirt!

  • Aquamarine replied 1 year ago

LOVE your hair like this! So pretty on you!

  • Sal replied 1 year ago

And it looks great.  Great colour.  And I love the longer soft fringe too.

  • Bijou replied 1 year ago

Angie, you are a ray of sunshine in that amazing outfit and your hair looks beautiful.

  • Star replied 1 year ago

Your natural, longer hair really suits you and is beautiful.  That skirt is amazing.

  • lyn67 replied 1 year ago

Wow, what a change-LOVE IT and YLF of course!:-)

  • Suz replied 1 year ago

Beautiful! I love the warmth of your natural colour and the depth. It's lovely on you! The length is also great. Must feel wonderful to be achieving the goal.

You look amazing in both the skirt and the dress. I love how the pale blue specs work with the dress. Makes me think of a blog post of yours, of yore -- pale blue and red.

  • RobinF replied 1 year ago

Your hair looks fabulous! Such pretty color and waves! Perfect with the pretty glasses.

Great outfit too. I always feel too dressed up in skirts but you make it work so well. I guess that is why you are the expert :)

  • Bonnie replied 1 year ago

Your natural hair color is beautiful and I love the length. It's so inspiring to see your outfits.

  • Mainelady replied 1 year ago

Your natural hair color has long fringe, so look fab! I LOVE the waves. Cheers for spending less time in the salon, chair!
      Oooh……your skirt! Flat out gorgeous!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thank you for the awfully kind words! Sorry to rush off, I have a deadline.

LOTS of sublime natural hair colour and texture inspiration on YLF! I'm in good company.

Jaime, you are right! 4 months without a haircut during the first pandemic lockdown wasn't as bad for slow growing hair like mine. Your hair is always a smashing hit :)

Suz, it does feel good to finally reach my first hair goal! Many left to go. And light blue is versatile! Dress twinsies too...

  • Inge replied 1 year ago

Yay!!! Your hair is looking gorgeous, Angie! It took a lot of patience, but so worth it;-)
Really loving your natural hair colour too, and brilliant that the skirt alteration was such a success. I love this outfit from head to toe, the RL cable-knit sweater is such a perfect fit!

  • Brooklyn replied 1 year ago

Your hair look fabulous! And I love your skirt!

  • Zaeobi replied 1 year ago

Your natural hair colour & texture is lovely, @Angie :) I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow too, thinking of having my fringe put back in.

Also your tailor did a great job with the skirt - I would have thought such a style would be close to impossible to alter, but it looks like yours has talent. Hold onto him/ her tight! ;)

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Inge, thank you sweet friend! Tried to duplicate the white cable jumper and of course - it's sold out ;)

Brooklyn, glad Queen Skirt likes of my skirt!

Zaeobi, show us a pic of your hair tomorrow! Exciting. And yes - the skirt was difficult to alter. Lots of new darts were inserted in just the places. Nice job.

  • Inge replied 1 year ago

Angie - Ah that's a shame. But I have a feeling RL brings out something similar each year? So hopefully you can "duplicate" next Spring. xxx

  • Sisi replied 1 year ago

Beautiful colour and beautiful waves Angie!  We sport almost the same length (my hair is a bit shorter). I am also growing a short pixie but at this length my naturally wavy hair is very indisciplined!

  • JP replied 1 year ago

Your hair looks great and I love that skirt, it's gorgeous and as always your styling is perfection!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Inge, you're right! Will replenish next year.

Sisi, waving at my curlier hair twin. I bet your spunky curls are fab!

J.P., thanks for the gracious words :)

  • Joyce B replied 1 year ago

Your hair looks fab. I may check out the spray that you suggested.

  • cat2 replied 1 year ago

Have you also found your hair is healthier without the dye? Mine has really rebounded and is much less dry and frizzy.

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks, Joyce! Nice to see you chime in.

cat2,  generally, YES. Although my hair was very short when it was dyed, so it was easy to keep looking and feeling healthy. But my longer almost dye-free hair does feel and look healthy. It's soft and bouncy. Hubs Greg remarked on that, actually ;)

  • cat2 replied 1 year ago

    Great!

  • Eliza replied 1 year ago

See why you are enjoying your hair , Angie. Lovely color! The wavy extra length adds motion and interest, complimenting your always polished style. Fun to mix it up!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Eliza, that's sweet! Yes to fun to mixing it up. Change is good, and I needed a change ;)

  • anchie replied 1 year ago

Late to this, but I really like your natural color, and longer length suits you too, it was worth the wait. And outfit is great - would wear it myself gladly.

  • Joy replied 1 year ago

This is a change but so you. Very cute and fun. I love the outfit too.

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks so much, anchie and Joy! I can either of you in the pink skirt outfit :)
