QUICK TRY ON: 2x Bottoms

Popped them on with the sweatshirt I was wearing. Not styled. Both items on my shopping list. Both items discounted at the time of purchase.

1. Green Trousers: Absolutley GORGEOUS impeccable quality. Much longer on me than on the model! Loving the fluid scrunch with the side seam zippers. Seeing this silhouette on the runways.....not that that's at all important! I'd have loved them anyway :)

My goal is to create a column of green. Looking for an apple or lime green jumper to match. In the meantime, works well with my navy, turquoise, shocking pink, burgundy, and citron knitwear. A few pattered blouses too.

I LOVE wearing dressy pants! It's become my thing.

2. Windowpane Wide Leg Jeans: A bit pyjama-esque, but I like that part! It makes me smile. No stretch, which I like too. Rigid, yet comfy, thanks to the tencel content. Size down a size. Runs big.

99.9% sure I am keeping both. But will sleep on it.....JUST to be sure.

Thanks for looking. xo

I am so excited! I am also working on a column of green concept. I am always amazed how well things you choose fit you (in every sense). I realize that is why you pick them, but, as we know, it is not as easy as it sounds. Of course you must keep them - especially the green ;) .

  • Runcarla replied 1 year ago

I like both!  Support the 99.9% keep, and will add .1 :-D

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Hah, Jaime! Fun to be Green Columning with you! HIGH FIVE :) - and thanks for the kind compliments.

  • Runcarla replied 1 year ago

By the way, how do the green pants look with your new yellow and green print silky shirt?  And citron accessories?

  • Tanya replied 1 year ago

Both are gorgeous on you.  The green pants are dreamy.

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Carla, HAHAHA! There you go. Done deal.

And yes - good memory: Fab matched look with my favourite blouse of all time and citron bag:)

  • Irina replied 1 year ago

Oh, fantastic! Both are lovely but the green trousers are a showstopper for sure. Keep!!!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Tanya, thank you! Your magnificent dressy trouser capsule is an inspiration :)

Irina, thank you! YES. The green pants are extra special. Unique silhouette.

I pranced around in both pairs of pants. Showed Sam and Jo. Good sign!

  • Echo replied 1 year ago

Ooh, I just adore the green trousers! A column of green would be even better, but this green will go with countless other colors. And the windowpane jeans are fab. Distinctive enough not to blend in as plain old denim, which I love. I vote keep on both.

  • Indigoprint replied 1 year ago

    Fab fit on both.
Keepers xs2. Love the split hem on the green. I am biased but I really like the windowpane as I had my eye on a pair of similar patterned jeans at Nordstrom this summer will be watching you as you style them to see if I am brave enough to try them myself. So fun!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

    Thank you!

Echo, YES.  It's a versatile green for the palette of my wardrobe. Same bright intensity. Well spotted! And I enjoy wearing wide jeans. Very comfy.

Indigoprint, I hope we become windowpane jeans twinsies. Go on! Try them :)

  • Dee replied 1 year ago

Holy smokes, there's so much fab going on with all these dress pants, and even more vibrant colour combos planned too. You definitely know how to have fun with fashion!!

  • Bonnie replied 1 year ago

They are both keepers! I may have to reconsider my "jeans only" policy.

  • slim cat replied 1 year ago

Gorgeous pieces and infectious happy smile :) !
    Definite keepers!

  • replied 1 year ago

Yes and yes! The green trousers are spectacular and sassy! That green is the color of my childhood room so it is a fave. The windowpane jeans are so cool! A retro vibe with added modern crispness. Wish you pleasant dreams of green apples, limes and window glass :)

  • Debbie replied 1 year ago

I love both pair. They look great and a seamless fit into your wardrobe. I really like the window pane ones.

  • rachylou replied 1 year ago

    Flying high, Angie! Fabulous!!

  • kellygirl replied 1 year ago

So fun!! Could not love these pants any more—especially the green!

  • Joy replied 1 year ago

More love for both.  I keep hearing that bright trousers will be huge next year.  You are set.
I have a similar pair of wide navy windowpane pants.(EF). They are supposed to be summer weight but fell better in colder weather.  I mix patterns wearing mine with a navy and white cotton sweater and mostly pair them with navy or white sweaters or a navy cotton jacket or navy wool blazer and white blouse.  Shoes are navy or white booties or loafers.  I will.be watching for styling ideas.

  • Sisi replied 1 year ago

Wow, what fantastic pants! I like both very much. Useless to say that you look fab!

  • Jessikams replied 1 year ago

Cool pants! I like the split hem, and it’s interesting how it’s come in and out of fashion so frequently over the past decade. I recently saw a pair with the slit in the back— that way the pants didn’t drag on the ground, but they did puddle around the front of the shoe. Clever!

  • Bijou replied 1 year ago

I'm 100% sure you should keep these, they look fabulous! Love the inquisitive photo bombers too.

  • Mirjana replied 1 year ago

Wow Angie, the green pants are so beautiful to die for, elegant, perfect fit fantastic on you . You look like a model, love, love so much. I also like the windowpane wide leg jeans , very interesting and good shape. I vote keep both, why not they are beautiful on you, make you happy.

  • replied 1 year ago

Ooh I like the green pants especially! Big yes to wearing them with the citron animal blouse!

  • Star replied 1 year ago

I LOVE the green pants.  I had a pair in that colour in 1978 when I was 12. :)

  • Janet replied 1 year ago

Angie, there is no pair of pants you can’t wear! I’m in awe and maybe just a little envy. :-)

Both are really fun and suit you nicely. I love a split hem. The windowpane is adorable and I’d be tempted to try them.

Angie Hood of Seattle Forest !

  • Karie replied 1 year ago

Sweet sister! Those pants look like they were made specifically for you, the fit is so perfect. And look at those cutie pies behind you in that last pic - adorable!

  • lyn67 replied 1 year ago

How fun, I was long time  working on getting me a look in this benetton green and thus I could never ever do  a  full column from head to toe (too much  color for me) but this would look probably really fab on You-as the pants are perfect!!  I too, was dilligent and  didn't gave up- so this fall finaly got me a knee length ribbed button down collared &short sleeve  dress which will call it my column of green!
    Love the windowpane jeans, too!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

WOW! Thanks, everyone! Much appreciate the kind words, and compliments. Enjoyed the personal stories too. You are lovely.

I have a busy day, and have run out of time. Will circle back tomorrow.

    Keeping BOTH pairs.

Wearing the windowpane jeans today :)

  • LJP replied 1 year ago

As Janet asked - is there a pant you can't wear? Geez!  Those green pants are a beautiful fit AND length - lucky score!

  • nuancedream replied 1 year ago

Gorgeous and fantastic finds! I am bummed the windowpane jeans aren't availaable in my size.

  • Dana replied 1 year ago

Wow! Both pairs fit you like a dream! Angie, you never appear to gain an ounce. I don't know how you do it! I had a pair of green pants like that i got for HS graduation. They're fun.
Are the green pants wool? They're sold out so I couldn't see.

I'd never known just how cute the windowpane jeans are until I saw them on you!

  • Kaelyn replied 1 year ago

Ooooh. They're both excellent, but those green trousers are something special and now I want a similar pair. ;)

Enjoy, and please share some outfits with these!

  • kkards replied 1 year ago

Love!  The jeans are super cute, and green pants are fab!

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 1 year ago

They are both super fab on you. The green ones are stunning; impeccable fit. The windowpane (also a perfect fit) are so cute, and I'm beyond impressed that the plaid is actually matched at the seams and on the pockets. I would almost buy them for that reason alone--haha!

  • Suz replied 1 year ago

I really like them both! The windowpanes do not look PJ-esque in the photos to me -- they have a structure to them, no? And the green pants are phenomenal and fun. I can see lots of amazing colour combinations since you have a high affinity for colour mixing and lots of vivid brights that will stand up to the bright green. Yay!!

  • Style Fan replied 1 year ago

Great fit for both pairs.  I really like the window pane jeans.  Lots of possibilities.

  • Inge replied 1 year ago

The window pane jeans are beyond fun, and the green trousers are divine, Angie! Love what you have planned for them too:-)

  • approprio replied 1 year ago

The window pane print is way cool. Will you be wearing them cuffed?

The side zipper detail is very louche. I see your column of green and raise you a column of hot pink (but just because I can does not mean I should.)

  • Sheryl replied 1 year ago

Both pants look great on you! Check out the Wild Fern color on the  Babaa website - I think that green might be the right shade for the pants.

  • Kate replied 1 year ago

Wow. I adore those windowpane print jeans. Fab on you! If they weren't sold out, they would be on their way to me.

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks so much! Such sweet words :)

    Quick question answers:

Rio, YES. Wearing the windowpane jeans with the cuff right now.

Dana, the fabric content of the green pants:  viscose/cotton/polyester/elastane blend.

Sheryl, the colour looks perfect! Sleeves too big though. Hard to layer under a coat.

Sharan, YES. Amazing side seam match on the patterned jeans!

  • Zaeobi replied 1 year ago

That Kelly green looks great on you @Angie - particularly like how the side slit helps the fluid fit but also stops the trousers from puddling in the front.

I'm always tempted to try the silhouette but then I remember I'm short & will likely need to hem it - which would ruin it anyway :P

  • JP replied 1 year ago

I hope you will keep them. I love the green pants and the slits at the hem. And, the fit is just perfection! I'm so tempted to purchase it but I'm focusing on blue this Fall, just because I ended up buying a pair of light blue loafers from Manfield when I was in the Netherlands :-P

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

    Thank you!

Zaeobi, side seam zippers are a mare to hem :(

JP, fun loafers! I like Dutch Manfield shoes :)

  • anchie replied 1 year ago

Such a great fit. I especially like the green pants and have green on my wish list too. & Other Stories have nice selection of green items atm and I have been tempted by this dress.

  • Jonesy replied 1 year ago

Beautiful pants and jeans! You in a column of that bright kelly green would be a treat! I love the windowpane jeans because they are interesting but still versatile, and I have huge heart eyes for any of the traditional menswear checks, like windowpane, houndstooth, glen plaid, etc.

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Anchie, a lime and apple green high five! I've just ordered this cotton jumper :)

Jonesy, lovely to see you chime in! I know I had you with the pattern. Love my new jeans, and wore them for three days in a row!

  • sabimct replied 1 year ago

    I love both of these!

    Plus ... you're adorable Angie!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

    Sabimct, thanks :)

  • Roxanna replied 1 year ago

Adore BOTH on you. Must keep!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks, Roxanna! Both pairs are mine, and the jeans have been worn three times already :)
