Green Jacket is here!

LOVE! (Bought with a giftcard). Hubs Greg loves it too!

Perfect fit. TTS if you like a narrower fit. Made of a comfy and soft waxed fabric. Unique. Desigual, (from Spain), is becoming a go-to brand.

Darker than expected, yet slightly sour so win-win for sour-colour loving me. AND, a good match with my new darker natural hair :)

Wearing it right away. NOW. Go Team Wear!

Wearing it with golden oldies:

  • 6 year old white jeans. (I've worn white and off-white jeans most days over the last 6 weeks. Good thing I have multiple pairs!)
  • 9 year old Boden navy polka dot shirt. Buttoned to the top. Collar popped. My thing!
  • 6 year old light blue Furla
  • 2 year old light blue oxfords and 3 year light blue specs
Pics are as good as it gets in this temporary unit. More bad pics. Oh well!

Highly recommend the jacket. I predict it will become a workhorse like the red one.

Hair is doing what it wants to do. Feels current to have hair fall in a relaxed and random way. I'm embracing it, and enjoying it!

Thanks for looking. xo

Love the jacket and outfit. Shoes look comfy for walking too. Moto jacket for the win. I’m a big fan of moto jackets.

  • Angie replied 1 week ago

delurked, thanks! Motos are a versatile iconic classic :)

  • Mirjana replied 1 week ago

Beautiful Desigual moto jacket, great color and it fits you fantastic. Perfect combination with light blue and white. You look stunning. I like Desigual and have some items which I wear with pleasure. So enjoy wearing sweet Angie.

  • Angie replied 1 week ago

Mirjana, you always make me smile with your kind words! Thank you :)

    Desigual rocks! High five.

  • Janet replied 1 week ago

    Oh I love that green!

*repeating to myself I do not need another jacket I do not need another jacket*

    Great outfit all around!

  • Kyle replied 1 week ago

Congratulations on finding another piece you love, Angie. I hope it proves to be just what you need for summer (and beyond) in Seattle. Getting the right green is especially tricky when shopping online, I think. I’m always reluctant to pull the trigger because I don’t enjoy returns.

  • RobinF replied 1 week ago

Ooh love it! Such a pretty color and looks great with your whites and light blues. Love the hair too! Do you put product in it?

  • The Cat replied 1 week ago

Love seeing moto jackets in non-neutrals. The combo of green, blue and white is wonderfully cool and summer-ish.

  • pirouette replied 1 week ago

Lovely outfit your green jacket is fabulous. Your hair gets nicer every time you post it’s growing very fast.

  • Cardiff girl replied 1 week ago

Perfect! The colour makes your eyes pop.

  • Suz replied 1 week ago

Love this, Angie! The green is fantastic on you and I especially love that you are wearing it with golden oldies, showing how to update our beloved favourites and long-term winners with one new fab statement piece.

Special love for those Cole Haan oxfords. I adore mine!

  • Dee replied 1 week ago

Wowza, that green is so terrific, looks fab with the polka dots. What a wonderful addition to enjoy in your wardrobe.

  • Tanya replied 1 week ago

Gorgeous on you, and great outfit all around.

  • Angie replied 1 week ago

Such lovely people you are - thanks, everyone!

Janet, I thought of you, your love for green, AND motos when I saw this jacket!

Kyle, it's a great cover-up for arctic a/c indoors too! It's risky buying items online, isn't it? Good thing the darker version of this jacket works too!

RobinF, you're so nice! There is dry shampoo in my hair today. When it's washed, I put in a hydrant or mousse when it's wet. Air dry if I'm wearing it wavy.

The Cat, I think this is close to a green - and colour combo - that you wear! Fun :)

Pirouette, appreciate the hair compliment! It grows slowly to me, but good that you think it grows fast ;)

Cardiffgirl, hubs Greg thought the same!

Suz, our golden oldies deserve some love, right? :)  YES, to a new statement piece changing the landscape of our wardrobe. HIGH FIVE to loving our Cole Haan oxfords! Soooooo comfy and well made.

Dee, you are lovely and super supportive. Appreciate it!

  • Angie replied 1 week ago

    Yay, Tanya! Thank you :)

Angie, before I read your comment to me, I had planned my outfit for tomorrow: a combo of green, blue and grey. :-) Emerald green pullover, forest green bracelet, soft blue crochet wool shawl, dark grey heart-shaped stone necklace, and light grey jeans and ballet flats.

By the way, I have often wondered what you mean by "sour" colours. I am used to calling colours cool, warm, clear, muted, light, dark, and medium. But what are sour colours? Can cool as well as warm colours be sour? Some of the colours you have called sour (i.e. the green you are showing here, and lemon, hot pink and turquoise) seem cool, while others (like tomato and lime green) seem warm. What makes a colour sour?

  • Aquamarine replied 1 week ago

Beautiful color—tempted! And you match the vase in the room behind you!

Off to check out the brand…

  • Angie replied 1 week ago

The Cat, your outfit sounds lovely! :)

    To answer your question:

Sour colours are crisp and citrussy, usually. Also, they are colours with YELLOW in them. That WARMS them up. The reds, pinks, turquoises, and greens I wear are generally not cool. They are warmer, because of their yellow component. The blues and whites I wear are cool though - (no yellow) - so they are exceptions.

    Take warm yellow for example:

Mustard and Citron are yellows. I don't wear mustard well. I wear citron well because it's sour and lemon-y. Citrussy!

With respect to this green jacket - it's cooler than the greens I usually wear. You are right! Yet it's JUST sour enough because it has a little yellow in it.

    HOPE that makes sense!

    Carla, nice!

Aquamarine, tonal with the vase for sure! Try the jacket.

  • Roberta replied 1 week ago

High contrast and perfectly crisp! It looks fantastic on you. I love Desigual and still mourn the fact there are no stores in the US anymore.

  • The Cat replied 1 week ago

Angie, thank you for your explanation.

  • MsMary replied 1 week ago

    SO FAB!!

  • JAileen replied 1 week ago

I love the jacket with polka dots - very fun!

  • ChristelJ replied 1 week ago

I knew this jacket would be amazing on you! Delicious color and perfect fit. What a great outfit all around. That polka dot shirt is a treasure. And your hair has such lovely waves!

  • Jaime replied 1 week ago

Love that color green on you! You call it relaxed and random but I say your hair has never looked better! Well I do sit in camp relaxed and random hair after all :) .

  • Bijou replied 1 week ago

Wow - this is a gorgeous colour on you and a beautiful jacket. I have always been interested in Desigual clothing but previously found their signature very bright colours on a black background overwhelming. Your hair looks salon perfect.

  • Sal replied 1 week ago

    Love this outfit on you!

Great jacket on you - and I love your hair in this relaxed style.  It looks so healthy and natural.

  • owhen replied 1 week ago

    good job

  • Sisi replied 1 week ago

Super nice jacket and outfit! I like the combination with light blue accessories. The jacket is actually different from the usual Desigual aesthetics, as described by Bijou. If my hair behaved like yours when I let it do wat it wants I would be very happy. :)

  • Star replied 1 week ago

The colour of the jacket really is fab with your darker hair (which falls fabulously naturally).  YLF!  I am also embracing my natural falling hair currently and kind of love it.

  • Staysfit replied 1 week ago

Love the color and how you’ve styled it!  Even though it is darker than expected, it works with your hair and skin and makes you glow!

  • Cee replied 1 week ago

    Begorrah, Dutchie !!

  • lyn67 replied 1 week ago

Green jacket has a great cut length and fit over a column of white and some dots- love you accessorised with light blues-really different!! Hair is gorgeous-no matter what!

I love Desigual, they make the grooviest things, and this jacket is no exception.   Love the outfit, love the hair, your whole look is *chefs kiss*

  • UmmLila (Lisa) replied 1 week ago

I bought this jacket too, and today was the first outing. The photo of me is the second iteration for today: what I’m wearing for work and to my writing group later. I have on a mesh daisy print top that I also got from desigual, plus some quite old white Levi’s cargo pants, and pointy toe grey sling back flats. I’m not loving the flats with the rest of it but they are ok.

The iteration of this morning was more interesting but alas I didn’t take a photo: I wore it to walk a couple km to the gym and back so the black top and dark leopard leggings are now in the wash. I further had on my blue and green camel scarf, tied in a square knot, thank you, and black samba sneakers.

I am quite pleased with the jacket. It’s comfortable even though the fabric has some structure. I love the color and the way the collar stands up a little bit.

  • Joy replied 1 week ago

I love the green jacket with light blue and white for spring and summer.

  • Bonnie replied 1 week ago

Love the jacket and how you are wearing it. I want it even more now that I've seen it styled.

  • Angie replied 1 week ago

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

Roberta, I know, right? I hope Desiguel comes back to the US in store form. Bijou and Sisi, YES, their handwriting has changed - and in my favour. HAH!

    My pleasure, The Cat.

Appreciate the sweet compliments Mary, Joy, Cee, and Jaileen! You are lovely.

ChristelJ, Mary Beth and Jaime, your words are very generous and I'm blushing! Many thanks.

Sal and bonnie, I know you like this green, and can see you rock the jacket! Just the way UmmLila does! Waving at my jacket twin ;)

Staysfit, Lyn67, Sisi and Star, what a sweet thing to say! Go Team Natural Hair.

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 1 week ago

It looks great, Angie. I love the color and the outfit you've put together with the light blues, white and navy.
Lisa also looks great in the jacket with white jeans.

  • slim cat replied 1 week ago

Gorgeous green jacket - meant to be yours ;-) !
Love the look with white jeans - perfect for Seattle spring!

  • Eliza replied 1 week ago

Yes! What a great jacket and the color is perfect for you, Angie. I have a waxed moto in deep midnight blue that must be 10 years old now and I love it being lightweight and good in a brief shower. Looks new and gets a lot of wear. Enjoy it. Love the light blue accessories/footwear mixed in.

  • Ket replied 1 week ago

OH MY!!! Heart be still! You look killer as ever <3 Your jacket makes me want to find something similar now... hmmm! :D

  • Suntiger replied 1 week ago

The green is great with the light blue! Fun to see how your hair is changing your palette!

  • Angie replied 1 week ago

Thank you very much! Appreciate the kind words :)

I'm juggling three online clients at the moment, doggies, and our contractor - back later....

  • Angie replied 1 week ago

Slim Cat, Firecracker, and Eliza, such gracious and kind words. Many thanks! High five to waxed motos, Eliza

Ket, you made me laugh! Good for the soul :)

    Suntiger, never a dull moment!

  • Brooklyn replied 1 week ago

I love this on you. I think it’s a little darker and more emerald than the greens I’m used to seeing you in, but lovely a change!

  • BlueJay replied 1 week ago

Lovely shade of green! The jacket looks great on you and works well with your hair! I wore this green sweater this week with white jeans and black belt and black and white runners.

I used to see a lot of Desigual around Toronto c. 2010 or so. I had a pair of red, white and blue ballet flats. Honeymooning in Barcelona in 2012, lots of Desigual in the shops. Nice to see they're "back."

  • Angie replied 1 week ago

Brooklyn, agreed! Thanks to a more versatile colour of hair :)

Blue Jay, your outfit sounds fab! You can get Desigual at Nordstrom these days. Love that!

  • Karie replied 1 week ago

Gorgeous! I love that you mix new and older, and always make everything look current.
