WIW: Packing UP

We're finally remodeling our loft, and have to move out for 4 to 5 months - with everything. We've been packing up on top of work, and everything else. Very busy bees.

My Esprit sweatshirts are AWESOME! I have the yellow too.

Gap wide leg jeans (LOVE them, and waving to twinsie, DebbieK), white belt and oxfords, pearls, specs, styled hair, and my minimal make-up routine. This has been my packing uniform.

Also making time for urban walks amidst the packing. We did the Cheshiahud Lake Union Loop Trail with Sam and Jo - 2.5 hrs - and highly recommend it to Seattleites! My coat and crossbody went over my packing uniform. Easy!

Movers come tomorrow. That's WIWs from me till July. Thanks for looking. xo

Do you need some clothes for hot summer? Don’t forget your swim things.

  • Mary Beth (formerly LBD) replied 1 month ago

Angie, you look wonderful!  The jeans are so cute, I love the vibrant colors , and YOUR HAIR IS SO FAB.

Fingers crossed for a swift and uneventful renovation!

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Yes, Joy! I'm packing and taking along ALL my clothes. But not all my bags and shoes. Some will go into storage.

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Thanks so much, Mary Beth! Appreciate the awfully kind words :)

    Back to work….

  • ChristelJ replied 1 month ago

This is proof you live in an alternate universe! You look so fresh and pretty and energetic, even when moving and doing a long urban hike. You are wearing lovely white shoes and sitting on a log in a white coat. In my world, I'd be wearing grey sweats and covered with smudges!
Love the cut of that orange sweatshirt, together with the groovy jeans. Your loft reset sounds very exciting and renewing.

  • anchie replied 1 month ago

So exciting! I hope you share your renovation plans and progress with us.
You look unbelievably fresh and energetic, not like someone packing and moving.

  • nuancedream replied 1 month ago

How exciting, Angie! I will miss your WIWs, but I can't wait to see the outcome of the loft remodel. I have the plain version of your Gap jeans and just love them.

  • Star replied 1 month ago

Angie you never cease to amaze me.  You look stylish and beautiful in ALL types of situations!

  • Roberta replied 1 month ago

The last time I moved, I spent at least 2 months packing, cleaning, and throwing things away. And I never looked as cute as you do. You are the spirit of the seventies reborn!

  • slim cat replied 1 month ago

Exciting time! You look fabulous ( as per usual ;-)  ) and ready to handle anything that comes your way!

  • Dee replied 1 month ago

Haha I certainly don’t look that cute and stylish moving. Hope it all goes well.

  • JAileen replied 1 month ago

I’ve moved a few times and always looked awful.  You, however, look wonderful!

  • Suz replied 1 month ago

You are the most adorable packer ever! Love that orange sweatshirt on you. The shape is adorable with the full length jeans.

  • RobinF replied 1 month ago

What a lot of work but worth it in the end! A remodel will be fun though! Hopefully it goes smoothly. The last time we moved I said never again! We shall see....

Great outfits, I love those jeans!

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Oh, wow! THANK YOU ALL, for the awfully kind words! I'm blushing, and laughing :)

Sorry to run off. I have a very long day ahead of me getting things ready for movers tomorrow.....

  • AJ replied 1 month ago

Congrats on finishing the packing! The remodel sounds exciting. Will there be a custom closet in the works?

Your super power to look so stylish while doing the most basic of things is inspiring. Love those jeans on you! YLF!

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 1 month ago

Oh, Angie, what a big chore! And you are completing it in your characteristic amazingly fab style. So adorable! Also, I am really loving your longer hair. It really seems to turn back the clock for you, by 5 to 10 years. (It's probably just your timeless style.) Good luck with the move. I find them stressful and exciting.

  • Irina replied 1 month ago

Fantastic! Honestly, Angie, you look 25 in these photos :)
Good luck moving and settling in your temporary place.

  • Janet replied 1 month ago

Oh boy, I know how much work this is! Good luck!!

You look adorable, and I love those jeans.

  • Karie replied 1 month ago

You look fantastic! Packing up and moving everything is sooooo much work, but it will be worth it in the end!

  • Bonnie replied 1 month ago

You manage to look fab even when packing and walking. Moving is a lot of work but your home will be fresh and lovely when finished. I will miss your WIW's though. Love the jeans!

  • Brooklyn replied 1 month ago

Good luck! Renovations can be very stressful. I love those jeans!

  • Olive Green replied 1 month ago

The hair and minimal makeup suit you so well, in fact, you do look younger! Good luck with the reno and the interim place, may it all go smoothly.

  • Jaime replied 1 month ago

Who else can wear an orange hoodie so well? Polish and grace are apparently internal traits that only manifests on the outside. Hope you have an easy time settling into your temporary home and the renovations go smoothly!

  • Carol replied 1 month ago

Oh, wow. Those are Gap? Love the two-toned effect. Also love the Esprit stuff--did Esprit go out of business for awhile, or has it always been there?

  • rachylou replied 1 month ago

So cute! And your hair - your hair is gorgeous!

  • harmonica replied 1 month ago

C U T E ! Fresh and functional at the same time. I wish you all the best with packing, temporary moving and renovation. It's a lot! I love the softness of your longer hair.

  • Sisi replied 1 month ago

You pack with style but that's no surprise! :) Are Sam and Jo excited to see all that movement? Best wishes for the renovation. The lake trail looks wonderful.

  • Murph11 replied 1 month ago

I remember you mentioning the remodel project quite some time ago, so it must be so exciting to get things (physically) rolling! Your packing uniform is awesome-- with a good dose of enthusiastic orange for energy. The Lake Union loop is part of my fav cycling route... love it!

  • lyn67 replied 1 month ago

Lovely to see a ray (or two!!:-)) of sunshine on a gloomy day (here)!  Love the bright orange hoodie -it just makes all the difference on how we perceive such a overwhelming complex task like moving out of ones house for months....Cannot wait to see the new loft!:-)

  • anne replied 1 month ago

All the best with the temporary move, Angie!

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Thank you all VERY much! Such kind, sweet compliments :) - appreciate it.

Esprit never went out of business. They did briefly pull out of the US.

Sam and Jo are excited, and as good as gold. Very adaptable pups!

Sorry to be brief. The movers are here right now.

Yes, the wardrobe storage areas are being remodeled too! Will keep you posted.

  • The Cat replied 1 month ago

    Orange and blue
    Is lovely on you.

Best wishes for your packing, moving and remodeling.

  • Helena replied 1 month ago

So cute Angie! You're inspiring me to add some colourful sweatshirts to my wardrobe. Best of luck with the move!

  • Katerina replied 1 month ago

You look lovely Angie! As others have mentioned - polished and elegant in all situations. Good luck with the move and remodeling, so exciting!

Love the jeans - so cool and flattering!

  • Column replied 1 month ago

Crazy impressive, Angie—esp. your attitude! Best wishes!

  • Lee replied 1 month ago

You’re a big dose of Sunny Delight in that outfit and the jeans make you look like a glamazon! Beautiful.
What a gorgeous tranquil setting, too.
Sending peaceful vibes for the business and share your excitement for the results.

  • Eliza replied 1 month ago

Angie- you look great and ready for anything. How daunting and exciting to pack up all of it and move. May everything go smoothly; you’ll enjoy the results for years to come.

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Thanks so much for chiming in, everyone! I'm smiling at your awfully  kind words :)

We've moved! Most of our stuff is in storage. We're settling into our temporary home for 4 months. It's two floors down from our loft so VERY convenient! Will be unpacking and organizing the rest tomorrow!

    Excuse my brevity.....

  • BlueJay replied 1 month ago

Packing and a long walk! You look fabulous!

That is great that you're in the same building! Happy organizing tomorrow. I'm sure it will all be fantastic when it's finished!

  • April replied 1 month ago

I had missed this post somehow - wow, 3-4 months is a long time. FIL and lady friend are doing something similar (in a senior facility) while their elevator gets replaced but I promise you, those two lack your can-do spirit, optimism, organizational skills, etc.

Hoping it all goes as smoothly as possible and that your loft will be your dream home for a very long time afterward.

  • Janet replied 1 month ago

Oh, that’s great that your temporary home is right there. I don’t know about you, but I’m way too much of a control freak to be far away while renovations are happening! I get hives when people talk about having a big reno project done while they go traveling for months. I’d be afraid I’d come home to all kinds of things done the wrong way.
    :-D

So excited for you and can’t wait to see the results.

  • Cardiff girl replied 1 month ago

I hope it all goes well for you as these things can be stressful.Great when it’s all done though.

  • Kyle replied 1 month ago

Love this. The renovation sounds exciting and how wonderful that you will be just steps away to keep tabs. I admire your casual style, Angie. Taking notes!

  • Eliza replied 1 month ago

Happy settling in, Angie. Glad you’re close to your loft.

  • replied 1 month ago

Glad you're in the same building for your temporary move! You look fresh and happy :)

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Thanks for the kind, reassuring, and sweet compliments, everyone! I'm touched.

The four of us are completely settled, and happy in the smaller unit two floors down, in the same building :)

Janet, YES!!! Greg and I are complete control freaks too. Need to assess the remodel progress daily, and in person ......by a billion percent. It's an ideal situation living in the same building for 4 to 5 months while our remodel happens. We got VERY lucky with this set-up!

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Also, of my 24 bags, 10 came with downstairs :)

  • Runcarla replied 1 month ago

Even uber casual, you still manage to exude stylishness. :-)

  • Debbie replied 1 month ago

Waving to my twin. Hope the move goes smoothly.

  • kellygirl replied 1 month ago

Not even moving house can alter your fab style. Love your casual polished outfit. How convenient that you are relocating downstairs. 3-4 months sounds like a long time, but it will hopefully go by quickly. Time seems to fly these days. Good luck with the remodel!

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Thanks, Kelly! We hope to be back in our remodeled loft by my birthday in July.

Debbie! LOVE our jeans, and that I'm twinsies with you :)

  • Lee replied 1 month ago

Nice selection you kept with you!

  • RobinF replied 1 month ago

Love your pretty row of bags!

  • Lesley replied 1 month ago

Those jeans are spectacular and I just ordered a pair! Good luck with your move!

  • JP replied 1 month ago

I love your polished casual style! And I'm in love with your jeans.
Wishing you a successful and smooth remodeling.

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

    Thanks everyone!

Get the jeans at the Gap if you fancy them :)
