Boden Linen Set Alert: (PICS)

One of my favourite things about '90s fashion was the SETS. C-ords. Matching tops and bottoms. In  patterns and solids. I've had my eye on some casual pants set the whole season - and finally landed on TWO. One solid citron, and the other patterned navy and white.

Here is the citron LINEN set from Boden. It's ON SALE all the time, which is how I bought it last week. (30% off) It's personally, by far the best linen set I've tried on because the shirt is short, and the pants are structured up top. The quality is IMPECCABLE. Better than a lot of designer wear I've seen lately. The colour and fit are perfect.

Leave it to Boden - who also produce very sustainably and ethically - to make the pants a thicker weight than the top so that they aren't see-through and the pocket linings don't grin through. The rise is long, but for relaxed linen pants - I don't mind.

Comes in colours, some patterns, and many are sets. Of course, you can wear them as separates too ;)

This is straight out of the package, quick try on to show you. Jus got it! Excuse dusty mirror. It's going to get very creased during the day - but am at peace with the crease.

I prefer the set UNTUCKED in #, just a little more. Beachy, breezy, and very Summery. But the shirt will tuck too! Dressier that way. Nice waistband. xo

Just your colour Angie! Looks good both ways xx

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks, sweet Jenni! YES! I lucked out with the sour citrus. I'm soooo pleased :)

  • Tanya replied 1 year ago

You look gorgeous! I have had my eye on the teal version for a while.

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Teal will be beautiful on you, Tanya! And thanks :)

  • LJP replied 1 year ago

That’s a great set indeed . Love the colour for you !

  • Irina replied 1 year ago

    Looks fantastic on you!

  • Carol replied 1 year ago

You know what I love about this? You could have your morning coffee on the deck, then you could throw on sandals and go to work, then you could throw on heels and go to dinner.

  • Indigoprint replied 1 year ago

    So good!

  • Suz replied 1 year ago

It's gorgeous on you! I wish the fuchsia pants had a matching top. I don't think they do! But wow, what a great and easy to wear set.

  • rachylou replied 1 year ago

    Gak. Way too good! :)

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 1 year ago

    Super cute!

Wonderful pieces! The dark buttons are very cool features. The fitted waist gives an awesome sailor vibe. The white set catches my eye but I would need your superpowers ;)

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks, everyone! Yup. It's my colour. Lucked out :)

Nikki, I liked the white set too ;)

Suz, bummer. Fab if there was a pink shirt to match the pants. I only see the matching jacket.....

Carol, yes! That could be done.

  • Bonnie replied 1 year ago

These linen separates are so appealing I want to order them all. Love the color you chose.

  • Dee replied 1 year ago

Haha why not a citron linen set, it looks great, and if you’re at peace with the crease you’ll be all stylish even in the heat.

  • Hadilly replied 1 year ago

Seasalt Cornwall has a couple of Iinen sets too. I bought one last year, kind of a pale green leaf print. I love it. Looking forward to wearing it again once it warms up.

  • slim cat replied 1 year ago

Bright and sunny - perfect for you!

  • Brooklyn replied 1 year ago

    So good!

  • Katerina replied 1 year ago

It looks great! It was made for you. Sets like this are also a perfect alternative to dresses.

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks, everyone! I might wear the set out tonight to a very casual supper in a home.

bonnie, you made me laugh :)

    Hadilly, enjoy your set!

Katerina, so right! These types of sets are a great alternative to dresses. Although, I love to wear dresses ;)

Gorgeous!got this version of the shirt a whole back, but the pants that matched this one didn’t work on me. Boden pants don’t always anymore.

I’ve ordered the Zara set which I suspect is the other one you’re referring to. Should arrive this weekend.

I love these coordinating sets! I got a few in previous years but nice to see more around.

A set made in your color! Wow, yes the untucked has the absolute beachiest vibe but then tuck it in and you are off to dinner :) !

Angie is one of the few humans who can be seen from outer space.

  • kellygirl replied 1 year ago

Late here too but want to add that you look radiant as always! So fresh! I love this set on you!

  • sabimct replied 1 year ago

I am really grateful to you Angie, for alerting us to trends, companies and new ways of styling!

This is a gorgeous look on you.

I learn SO much from the pictures you share and bring that inspiration home to have fun with my own fashion - thank you!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! Hope this was helpful, and that the set can work for some of you too.

I wore the set out to casual dinner last night. UN-TUCKED.  It was quite hot, and the set was PERFECT (no a/c). I have fab white sandals with backs to wear with them so the hems don't get caught under my heels as I stride. Greg loves the set too ;)

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

ChristinaF, sorry the pants didn't work, but glad the shirt did!

This is my new Zara set. It says it's black - but 100% navy!

  • lyn67 replied 1 year ago

You look so relaxed and fab Angie! Linen can give such a summer vibe to evrything!  This neon citron is so You- I can't wait to see You modelling  the printed one from Zara, too!

  • replied 1 year ago

    Happy and sunny!

  • RobinF replied 1 year ago

Very fun! That is a color I can't wear at all but it really looks great on you.

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks, everyone! I'm thrilled with my pants sets. They fill a hole, and are super fun to wear.

It's hot today, and I'm going to wear the patterned Zara co-ord :)

  • Christina F. replied 1 year ago

Yup, that's the ZARA set, Angie - definitely not black. I like it but am not 100% sure on the fit of the pants. I've developed muscle in my legs without losing much fat, so I get a lot more pulling across the thighs than I used to - and I used to get it quite a bit.

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks so much, everyone! I'm wearing my Zara co-ord, now :)

ChristinaF, can you size up on the pants?

  • Laura replied 1 year ago

Matchy matchy sets for the win! Happy you are milking citron's popularity this season.

When I think of 90s coordinating sets I can't help but think of those gorgeous Versace patterned silk shirts and pants from the mid/late 90s. They were a refreshing change of pace after years of early 90s minimalism!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

YES! I loved those too, Laura - and wore them :)

  • Christina F. replied 1 year ago

Angie - maybe but I’d have to be willing to do a lot of tailoring to take in the rest of it. Just not sure of that. I’m about to travel for work so I’ll reevaluate when I’m back.

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

ChristinaF, it's worth a try and show me the fit!

  • Jonesy replied 1 year ago

Gorgeous! The color is so perfect for you and the fit looks immaculate! Practical for the hot weather and so chic. You are making me want to pull out my coordinating set and wear it!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Jonesy, thank you! I look forward to seeing yours :)

  • Greenjeans replied 1 year ago

It just hit me. The set is a jumpsuit but practical on and off! I love it.

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

    Greenjeans, exactly! A two-piece jumpsuit :)
