OOTD: Quietly Loud

This is what I'm wearing at home today. We are in week 5 here in Seattle. Going nowhere. Working, cooking, cleaning, sanitizing, reaching out to others who need support, talking to both Dads, yakking to friends, and am glued to the news. There is no extra time in the day for fun stuff - how unexpected is that?

Walking Sam four times a day - and bonus it's lovely and mild today. A sunny 16C. VERY welcome! This is the first time my sunnies have come out in 2020.

I did my PT exercises Saturday and today.

CEO Sam is on a modelling break as he concentrates on paid playtime and seagull espionage.

The daily drill for my AT HOME LOOK: shower, styled hair and make-up, an outfit that panders to my feelings when I get dressed, at home only sneakers, and some important accessories.

I LOVE these carrot pants! Sooooo fably '80s. Really comfy and "new". Glad I have two pairs - and Greg loves them too.

I combined them with a tight back tucked top and pearls first, but the black top made me feel anxious. Looked good, but didn't feel good, IYKWIM. So I chose a brighter and more playful "fish & chips" shirt. Instantly felt calm.

A denim blazer with a cuff and crossbody with guitar strap are the subtle but louder finishing touches.

We are wearing masks here. We have some disposable ones that will work until we get our fabric ones. I need to knot the elastic to make them fit. Such is life with a small head. They are more comfortable than a scarf. My specs and sunnies mist up with the mask. *sigh*. Oh well. Onward!

Stay home, stay safe, and stay strong. Thanks for looking. xo

You look like a movie star!

Does Sam tear up his toys?  Bob Barker bites off the paws and faces of all of their toys.  Poor Mr Skunky.  Bob has wrecked all of his babies.  :(

Cool outfit with a 1980s flair (I see inspiration from Duran Duran which is appropriate today).

Love the shirt on you, super fun with the white glasses and sneakers.

So cute Angie, love the guitar strap!

  • CarolS replied 4 years ago

Stunning! And that bag is awesome!

  • Runcarla replied 4 years ago

Love the olive and blue!  What a fabulous guitar strap for your cross body.

Cool outfit - love that combination of the blazer and bag with guitar strap - such a great color and print combo!
    Fav #12 and of course #2 - cutest Sam :) .

Those pants are great and I love the way you've styled them.

Outfit is fab and a fun contrast from your brighter and bolder looks. I love the combination of the darker olive bag with the pants and then the blue top. I have the same problem with my sunglasses steaming up with a mask. I read you can turn down the top edge of the mask or use a tissue to line the top edge. Explained better here:

Dear Angie, what a very 80s outfit. Thinking of you both in week five!

  • Barbara Diane replied 4 years ago

    Wow, fab outfit. And Sam!

  • Suz replied 4 years ago

What a FAB outfit, Angie! So fun and 80s inspired. I love the blazer with those trousers! Tried to order a pair, but none in my size in Canada. Ah well...

    You look amazing, Angie!!

Sam is all, ‘CEO Motto: Work Hard. Play Hard.’ :)

  • kkards replied 4 years ago

    Love this.

  • Glory replied 4 years ago

You look so polished! Sam is very very photogenic. Your posts make me very happy!

Awww Sam :) Love that guitar strap purse and blazer especially!

  • Becky replied 4 years ago

I love seeing your outfits each day. I am especially attentive to how you style the olive pants, as olive is a color that shows up in my wardrobe to some extent because it matches my eyes. I don't always know how to style it, so I'm taking notes!

  • Inge replied 4 years ago

The bag works sooo well with the trousers, Angie!! The entire outfit is gorgeous, of course!!

  • ChristelJ replied 4 years ago

Enviable outfit! I like the way you have the shirt collar and blazer cuffs turned up; so chic.
The idea of Sam spying seagulls makes me happy.

  • Laurie replied 4 years ago

The olive bag and the denim blazer are awesome in this outfit.

    LOOK AT SAMMY!!

  • Eliza replied 4 years ago

Beautiful! Love the jacket with olive and the light shirt. Uplifting!

  • nemosmom replied 4 years ago

You look great, Angie! Olive pants are corona-cool, for sure.

And, I am not a bag girl, but that Minkoff with the great strap has the potential to convert me....

  • Angie replied 4 years ago

Thanks so much, ladies! You are all soooooo nice. Sam is blushing too :)

    Wooohooo! Go Team '80s.

JAileen, some of Sam's toys become casualties. Then I have to stitch them up.....

Jaime, excellent info. I will try it!

Suz, oh no. Perhaps they will turn up?

Becky, wear your olive bottoms with pink and berry tops. You love pink!

  • replied 4 years ago

Fun to see you in olive green! That blazer is fantastic, and absolutely makes the outfit.  And that purse!!!    I'm not a fan  - yet - of the pleated paperbag waist pant look in general, but these are SO cute on you, and SO flattering . Your body type is exactly who this look is made for .

I love this outfit, Angie, and Sam the CEO still manages to steal the show. The denim blazer is so super fab. It looks like it was made just for you--the style, fabric, and fit suit you so well!

  • LeandraofBleuAvenue replied 4 years ago

Very chic! I love everything about this!

  • Angie replied 4 years ago

Thanks so much for the kind words, ladies!

Lisa P, I appreciate that you like a look on someone else that isn't your personal cuppa.

Sharan, you are as gracious as ever.

  • smittie replied 4 years ago

Lovely blazer. I definitely am a fan of the blue and white.
Glad you are wearing a mask. Take care.

  • cindysmith replied 4 years ago

Love the nod to the 80s, it's a great outfit :-D

  • Joy replied 4 years ago

Sam steals the post posing with his toys. I like your green pants and I have some in a very similar color ( sage green), but straight pull ones. You are inspiring me to try them with white rather than black or dark navy.
How do you keep your specs from fogging up when wearing a mask?

  • kellygirl replied 4 years ago

This is so fun. As usual, your outfits are a treat! Sam hit the jackpot with you and Greg!

  • lyn67 replied 4 years ago

OMG, carrot pants fabness here-really love the jacket to it, button down is also very very fun as cute little Sam is with his dolls, too! Thanx for posting your gorgeous outfits, Angie, I'm in awe my wish was heard and fulfilled for my biggest joy ever!!!:-)

  • Bijou replied 4 years ago

You look gorgeous. Wow, 5 weeks is a long time. I have done almost three weeks at home and the novelty is wearing off. I would really like to be back in the office. Dressing up daily has helped to keep me positive and your daily outfits are such great inspiration to not to stay in my PJs.

  • Angie replied 4 years ago

Oh my word! Thank you all SO much for the awfully kind words. I'm blushing.

Joy, unfortunately, I haven't prevented a way to stop my specs from misting up yet....
