OOTD: Not So Simple Stripes

This is what I'm wearing today. Casual, trendy and preppy. Nowhere to go but walk Sam four times a day. With a mask. Which I forgot to photograph with my outfit.

Work, chores, cleaning, texting, news watching, cooking, checking in on two Dads and others.......and ready to relax in loungewear in a bit.

Spring has sprung in Seattle, and we're having gorgeous weather! I felt like wearing a bright colour today. Shocking, I know......

The daily drill for my AT HOME LOOK: shower, styled hair and make-up, an outfit that panders to my feelings when I get dressed, at home only sneakers, and some important accessories.

I bet you don't notice my pearls anymore. I wear them EVERY DAY. They are part of me.

I LOVE wide crops!

I LOVE stripes!

I LOVE red!

I LOVE sneakers!

I LOVE Sam! And Greg.... :)

I don't enjoy doing yoga in isolation with a laptop nearly as much. I miss the real class setting a lot :(

I don't like how my specs mist up wearing a mask, but don't mind the mask. It's comfortable.

I could do with a haircut since this is week 9, and I have my hair cut every 6 weeks. Oh well! It's only hair. I have a cut scheduled in 6 weeks.

Which bag did I choose with this outfit?

Thanks for looking. Off to walk Sam, sanitize, and vacuum. Easy leftovers for supper tonight.

Stay home, stay strong, stay calm, and stay positive. xo

Super cute, Angie! I love it in all iterations. I tried the sweater but it was (predictably) too orange a red for me. So I ordered the blue one. We'll see. I really liked the quality and cut.

I'm betting you chose the larger Furla, but I also really like it with the smaller crossbody.

  • JAileen replied 4 years ago

Oh I love those stripes!  Much more interesting than ordinary stripes.  You know, in these recent OOTDs, you have turned into a bit of a goofball.  Wonderful!    :)

  • Kathie replied 4 years ago

You have the best poses! Love it with both the polka dot bag and the red one.

  • Angie replied 4 years ago

    Thanks so much, ladies!

    Go Team Stripes.

Suz, the blue stripe is going to be perfect on you. YES, I chose the red satchel!

Janet, I don't know what a goofball is - (an Americanism I'm not familiar with) - but if you say it's wonderful, it can't be bad :)

Kathie, we love red, don't we...

  • Runcarla replied 4 years ago

    You had me at stripes!

  • Angie replied 4 years ago

    Carla, AND the red....

  • Sal replied 4 years ago

I love this sweater - and I love these jeans - so you are winning with me!!

All the bags work don't they, lovely to have options:)

  • Joy replied 4 years ago

Love it all, especially the pearls. I still notice them and would miss them if you were not wearing them. They add a little extra something. The sweater is really special. My favorite photo is the last one, a close up with Sam checking out your sweater and a glimpse of the pearls . That tomato shade of red really brings out the green of your eyes.

  • JAileen replied 4 years ago

    Oh yes, definitely good!

  • CarolS replied 4 years ago

So upbeat! I love the blush topper.

  • Bonnie replied 4 years ago

I love seeing how you mix your wardrobe items and come up with such fab outfits. I need to do more of this. I was pleasantly surprised to see some of your recent items on Pinterest today when I was looking for cardigan outfit ideas.

What a fun photo session - you look great in red/pink stripes!
Great collection of bags ( like Boden Tote bag with big polka dots - looks like a summer time for me  :) ).
Love Sam in pic #17 looking at you and almost saying: "Are we done now? Where is my treat for working so hard today? Darn, I need to check on those seagulls, pronto!"

  • Karie replied 4 years ago

Those stripes! So cheerful and happy. And Sam is the cutest pup!

  • rachylou replied 4 years ago

Well, I knew it wasn’t the polka dot... :) Another superior outfit! I’m almost convinced re wide crops... hehe :)

  • Lucy replied 4 years ago

Perfect stay at home outfit, it's a happy mix for these difficult times!

  • kellygirl replied 4 years ago

Wow! Love the cool stripes on that sweater and you look so fab in your jeans. Your accessorizing is spot on! Love the light blue crossbody and the red satchel is my next fave. Soooo gorgeous and spring-y!

  • Jaime replied 4 years ago

Love this! It would not make any sense to wear a large polka dot tote to walk Sam, but I love how it looks nonetheless. BR sweater is amazing and I like the choice of the pink work jacket. Sam always knows just which collar to don.

Oh I love this ! What a perfect, easy and relatable look . Jeans are genius on you :) These posts of yours are making me wish I had made better buying decisions last spring / late winter ...although no one could have known what was bought then could be the last pieces you could buy for a good long time . Makes one want to treat every purchase as if it could be the last - it had better be *that* good . I will never take my purchasing power , and the availability of good clothing , for granted ever again .

Love this outfit; the stripes, the jeans - just up my street :)

  • Inge replied 4 years ago

And I looooove it all!! You are making me smile every day, Angie, with your gorgeous outfits and your happy poses :-)

  • Helena replied 4 years ago

Super cute and the detail on the sleeve is so cool. All the bags are gorgeous but the light blue crossbody seems just right to carry keys and keep hands free for walking lovely Sam!

  • ChristelJ replied 4 years ago

Your outfits these days are just as much an energy boost as my morning tea! Pure delight. I love the polka dot tote so much but pretty sure you didn't choose that one.

  • lyn67 replied 4 years ago

It's so revarding for one remaining consistent with their colors and shade of colors. Love your's are always coordinating to perfection(for ex the tomato red or blush in all your items here!)! Love the "not so simple" stripe pattern, YLF (as always!) and Sam is your perfect accessory!

  • Bijou replied 4 years ago

I love how happy this bright outfit is. Your specs and pearls are such great additions.

  • Becky replied 4 years ago

Oh, this is such a happy outfit! I love the colors and stripes! I've always been a fan of sailor detailing on jeans, but I'm not sure it suits my own body type. It's fab on you, though!

  • Janet replied 4 years ago

You are the happiest quarantine dresser I have ever seen! Love the colors on you, and agreed that you wear trendy denim better than anyone.

  • Laura replied 4 years ago

Not sure what I'm enjoying more, your outfits or your facial expressions! Rock on, Angie! Each day that passes gets us closer to the day when we'll be able to get back to our yoga studios and eating dinner in restaurants, and all the things we took for granted once upon a time.

  • Jules replied 4 years ago

Oooh I like the polka dot shopper best myself :)

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 4 years ago

    Another super cute outfit!

  • karen13 replied 4 years ago

    YLF!

I tried the folded tissue tip for mask wearing with glasses and it helped a lot. Just folded a Kleenex up to about an inch wide and tucked in the top f the mask over the bridge of my nose.  I haven’t tried the other tips on soap solution but they make sense

Thank you soooo much, ladies! I will be back to comment fully on your kind comments later...

Love the stripes on the sleeves! I like the dotted bag the most with it, but know you like crossbodies when having your walking meetings w the CEO :)

  • Jane replied 4 years ago

Gorgeous Angie, so fresh and spring like.

  • Angie replied 4 years ago

I’m back. Where does the time go???

Thanks soooo much, everyone! I appreciate you taking the time to comment.

Sweet Joy, thanks for noticing my pearls....

    Jaileen, glad to hear it!

    bonnie, fun coincidence.

Slim cat, Kelly, ChristelJ, Janet, Lyn67, and Jaime, thanks for your ongoing gracious words - and you are dead right about Sam!

Rachy, you'll be in wide crops this year :)

Lisa P, that’s an extreme yet sensible strategy!

Inge, stripes just for you, my sweet friend :)

Becky, you will rock sailor pants. Try them!

Laura, you are wise and wonderful as always.

Karen13, I tried that! Thank you. Didn’t work. What am I doing wrong?

  • cindysmith replied 4 years ago

Your shelter-in-place style game is incredible!

  • Sara L. replied 4 years ago

I love the polka dot bag with the striped top.  Super cute outfit!

My hair is long enough to go extra without any problems but haircuts for my boys will be an issue in a couple weeks.  Luckily they all got haircuts right before the schools closed.

  • Angie replied 4 years ago

    Thanks, Cindy :)

Sara, long hair is great for Corona-Style.
