Haircut: 20 months of Hair Growth

From platinum blonde pixie to honey blonde bob.

Going back to my natural colour was one of the best hair decisions I've made. Extremely low maintenance at the salon! Hubs was 100% right since he suggested it :)

Had a hair trim yesterday, which happens every 3 months these days. Shaped and thinned at the back. Front still growing, and grows slower than the back. Dead ends cut off.

This is straight and styled by me. I'll wear it wavy too, of course! The fringe stays out my face with my specs. Handy!

About two to three more inches to go. Will continue growing it into next year.

......and new easy-to-identify luggage. xo

Looks great! Such a pretty color. Nice to have the option of straight or wavy. I tend to stick to one style because it is what I am used to.

    Lovely - classically chic:).

  • Helena replied 1 year ago

So so pretty - suits you beautifully!

Lovely colour of suitcases and far easier to spot than basic black for sure!

  • Eliza replied 1 year ago

You look great! Love the hair style and the color is lovely. (I am with you on the joy of not spending hours in the salon; in my case the schedule was both strict and becoming increasingly frequent.)

Hope the luggage is a harbinger of good things to come.

    Beautiful hair, good choice.

You’re so lucky to have such a lovely natural hair color! And what an exercise in patience. It looks beautiful.

  • Suz replied 1 year ago

Your hair and your luggage complement each other! Blue and gold!

Hair looks fabulous! You are indeed lucky that the fringe stays put with your specs in place! That length can be a nuisance if a person is not wearing specs! SO pretty and healthy looking on you.

    What luggage did you get?

  • Dee replied 1 year ago

Cute front flip, and your natural hair colour looks great! Hooray for non black luggage!!

  • Irina replied 1 year ago

Looks lovely, Angie. Your hair color is incredible!

  • cat2 replied 1 year ago

I would still put something unique on your suitcases to easily identify them. I went with a red set and had someone walk away with one of mine thinking the only red bag had to be hers.

  • Suz replied 1 year ago

cat2's comment reminds me that on my recent trip to SF, a woman almost walked off with my olive green suitcase! It is usually the only one (apparently when she travels, too!) but she had her hand on it when I went over and mentioned that we should check the hidden name tag. The suitcase was, indeed, mine. :)   Saved us both a bit of trouble by identifying it.

Your hair is looking fab, Angie! The new luggage is pretty, too.

Gorgeous as always! I love your natural hair color. Mother Nature really does do it best. Bob is very elegant. Very pretty luggage and so practical!! May it serve you well on all your adventures!!

  • Kate replied 1 year ago

    Beautiful color and cut!

cat2’s comment is spot on. My husband has a dark purple and black piece of luggage primarily so he can ID it easily and go, since he travels so frequently. He rarely if ever glances at the name tag.

On one of our recent trips, we were halfway home in the cab when we both got almost simultaneous calls from an Iceland Air rep saying that he had picked up the wrong piece of luggage. DH was positive he hadn’t until he looked at the name tag on the bag. Exact same piece of luggage as his, only not his!

The other traveler had left his bag at the airport, and he returned hers the next day meeting her at her downtown office. She was very nice about the mix-up, and they had a laugh over the identical bags. Lesson learned!!

Thanks so much for the kind words, everyone! I'm blushing.

Yes, I'm lucky my natural hair colour is working out. And that my specs keep my fringe from annoying me :)

cat2 and Kate, YES! That's why we've got unique Yorkie tags on our luggage. That really helps!

Suz, we love Travelpro luggage. This is our third set. As seasoned travelers and after MUCH deliberation, we've found that to be the best brand for our needs. The VERY lightweight middle size version with spinning wheels. I can send links if you like.

  • Runcarla replied 1 year ago

Gorgeous you!  I’d be interested in your opinion on suitcases.  Are spendy worth the $$ or are midrange department store brands the best way to go?  I know spinners vs 2 wheelers is a personal preference, but what about hard vs soft shell.  Which ones have the best inside layouts, etc.

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Carla, thanks, and feel free to start a separate thread on the luggage questions ! I'll offer my two cents :)

  • pil replied 1 year ago

So pretty! Less time at the salon is a nice bonus, isn’t it?
I’m pondering going in the other direction with a much shorter cut.

  • Jaime replied 1 year ago

Color and cut (and face) are beautiful. Patience is exemplary!

  • Cee replied 1 year ago

Two thumbs up, a Yorkie paw Mexican wave AND a mic' drop !

  • Suz replied 1 year ago

Thanks, Angie! We are overall very happy with our Briggs and Riley but I think I need a smaller carry on option also because the one we have works fine on international but not domestic or short Euro flights.

  • Indigoprint replied 1 year ago

    Patience is a virtue.
Such a realty when growing out hair but so worth it!
Looking Fab in your natural color.

  • Bijou replied 1 year ago

You look stunning, your patience has been rewarded. I need to take a leaf from your book as by nature I am impatient. How I temper that is to set myself mini goals on the journey to the big picture goal.

  • quietloud replied 1 year ago

You look wonderful with your natural hair color, and the bob suits you so well! :)

  • Star replied 1 year ago

    Pretty!!

Oh, love those luggages in Greek's national color-are you just leaving or have you came back already? Can't wait to hear the stories!:-) Angie, you always have great hair, no matter the stage!

Looks great! Yes- link to the luggage please!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! Appreciate the sweet compliments.

I'm very busy today, but will try to chime in about luggage specifics later :)

    Lyn67, we leave tomorrow.

Your hair looks gorgeous.  The natural hair colour is so pretty.  The suitcases are a stand-out colour, but the tags will help, too.

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks ever so much for the kind words! :)

  • MsMaven replied 1 year ago

Gorgeous. You have such pretty natural color and texture. You were great as a blonde but I do like this a lot.

  • Carol replied 1 year ago

Love the dramatic side part. I have a similar natural color, and I also got a cut yesterday! It was long for a long time.

  • Brooklyn replied 1 year ago
