WIWs: Candy Boiled Bubblegum

*Excuse the bad light in my bedroom. It's put a yellow glare on the top part of the boiler suit and my face. That's why I add pics from the perfect light downstairs. Accurate colours, but no mirror.

I absolutely LOVE my new wildcard boiler suit! It's soooo comfy and easy! Everthing stays put and there's zero fuss. I feel great in it! Now I get why people are into the right jumpsuit vibe. I want a white one too...

No loo issues, and here's why:

Hubs Greg loves the boiler suit, which surprises me because it's pink and not blue denim. Bonus!

I've wanted one in pink or red since I was 15 years old in 1985. Now I have one at 50 in 2021. All good things come to those who wait ;)

LOTS of iterations here, and I've worn the ones with the coats - not the jackets (yet). We have cool Springs, and because I am always on foot and live by the water where it's colder and windier - I have to wrap up. I'll wear the jacket versions soon. Wearing knee-highs for insulation.

LOTS of different sneaker and bag combinations. Every item is old or very old apart from the new boiler suit.

I like the look best without toppers. Sneakers, pearls, crossbody, Sam - and I'm done. But you know, I have to wrap up for now if I don't want to wait till May or June to wear the suit :)

My Custom-Hi-Tops are AMAZING. Workhorses, and the best item I have ever had custom-made:

Thanks for looking, and happy to be back on Team Jumpsuit with other Fabbers! xo

You are adorable.  I like it with the citron best. Topper season will be over before you know it, and Seattle has the BEST summer weather for this sort of thing.

  • Angie replied 6 months ago

Jenn, you are right! We have great Summers :)

  • Jenn replied 6 months ago

(K and I are thinking about a trip up there in July, assuming we can get vaccinated before then. Fingers crossed.)

  • bonnie replied 6 months ago

You have found the perfect boiler suit. I love all of the combos and can't pick a favorite. Sam looks great in his pink collar, too.

  • Angie replied 6 months ago

Jenn, FUN. Let me know when you're here. Hopefully, we will ALL be vaccinated by then.......

Bonnie, thank you, and nice that you noticed Sam's matching collar :)

  • anchie replied 6 months ago

So much fun. I could not really imagine it, but it looks perfect on you.

It really is perfect on you !

  • N replied 6 months ago

Wow it goes with everything! Those colours would be way too bright for me but they go so well with you! I always love your fun and playful poses, really cheer me up :)

  • Christina F. replied 6 months ago

    Fantastic! You’ve never looked better!!!

  • Angie replied 6 months ago

LisaP and Christina, thanks! It was an unexpected lucky find 35 years later...

N, thank you for appreciating a look on someone else that's not for you. That makes my heart happy! :)

  • Sal replied 6 months ago

How wonderful! Just the perfect piece for you! I love all the versions - how great to have these options.

  • sarah replied 6 months ago

OMG, Angie, you are so stinking cute!

  • Angie replied 6 months ago

Sal, you are sooo lovely, and awfully gracious :)

Sarah, great to see you chime in! Wooohoooo.

  • Janet replied 6 months ago

What a great boiler suit on you! I like it best with white and pale blue. Y'all are making me want one of these, but my wearing season would be too short.

  • Minaminu replied 6 months ago

Love the boiler suit ! Fab colour on you, Not only you wear it well, but it also shows your fun personality! Well done for waiting so long!

  • suntiger replied 6 months ago

So fun :) Love all the versions but think the pairing with citron is my favorite!

  • nuancedream replied 6 months ago

POW!! A total knockout you are, Angie, in that boiler suit. I am now a member of Team Boiler Suit and Team Bubblegum Pink :)

  • N replied 6 months ago

Angie, I can appreciate a lot of styles that aren't for me. For one I LOVE punk think Vivienne Westwood. I love earthy natural sort of woodland looks, I love almost all vintage looks. I think to pull these styles off they have to match your personality and lifestyle and my personality is more classical natural I think but I can totally appreciate other looks on people. I just know now to steer clear for myself.

  • Irina replied 6 months ago

What a fun spring look!  You look absolutely perfect and your smile as bright as your outfits!

  • Tanya replied 6 months ago

Super fun look. I like it in all versions. And I can’t help but notice that Sam’s collar matches, again :)

  • Cardiff girl replied 6 months ago

This colour pink really suits you and what a joyful thing a pink boiler suit is!

  • Suz replied 6 months ago

Oh my! Talk about pretty in pink! Wow! This is fresh, adorable, easy, and so spring-like on you. You're like a bouquet of tulips! I also like the versions without toppers best, although the one with the navy Hobbs is pretty amazing. Actually, they are all amazing. But the boilersuit is one of those items that seems best when you can see its full on self.

    Also, Sam is very matchy-matchy!!

  • JAileen replied 6 months ago

Wonderful outfits!  My favorite is with the white sneakers with pink soles, and pink bag with pink guitar strap.  I really love it!

  • Angie replied 6 months ago

I like the citron, light blue and white toppers best too. I like the dark blue topper the least.....but like it!

Janet, a boiler suit could work into Fall for you. Try one!

Minaminu, Irina and Nuancedream, wow, what a nice thing to say. That's high praise :)

    Suntiger, high five!

N, your style is at its best and easiest to maintain when it's authentic. You might like this post:

Tanya, of course you noticed Sam's collar! You don't miss anything ;)

Cardiff Girl, thank you for the bubblegum love.

  • Angie replied 6 months ago

JAileen, candy canes work with bubblegum ;)

Suz, thanks for the gracious words! Tulips are my favourite flowers, and YES to boiler suits being fab stand-alone items. But you know......the PNW :(

  • rachylou replied 6 months ago

Sam is all, ok! Let’s see the next set! :)

Fantabulous! How good are your pink soled sneaks with it or what, not to mention!

  • Suz replied 6 months ago

Yes, PNW, coats required!! And luckily, you have a wide assortment. Hmmm. I wonder if that is brilliant planning? :)

  • Runcarla replied 6 months ago

    Yes!  #authenticstyle for the win...

  • Angie replied 6 months ago

    Carla, :)

Rachy, my boiler suit buddy! Lucky match with those sneaks....

Suz, like I say to my clients: You live in the PNW. Do not skimp on toppers and closed footwear!

  • Bijou replied 6 months ago

Wow, so worth the wait to see this in action. Absolutely gorgeous and so very you. I LOVE the colour.

  • Jonesy replied 6 months ago

Delightful! The pink, combined with your styling, really sets this particular boiler suit apart, and it looks effortlessly fab on you! I really love the pics of Sam interspersed with yours--it's like he's patiently waiting for the next look and then the payoff at the end when he gets to give you a big smooch :).

  • Nikki replied 6 months ago

Just marvelous! The white sneaks with pink soles are the bomb :) Happy Spring!

  • slim cat replied 6 months ago

Fun spring looks! I love all versions - hot pink coat and fuzzy trucker jacket look absolutely amazing with your new candied bubblegum boiler suit ( the guitar strap is genius in #21-22 )!
You have a way with fashion that just so full of joy and positive energy!
Sam is cute in pink as well ;) .

  • marija replied 6 months ago

Oh wow.  You are adorable.  I think if I were to run into you at the airport, I would just stop and stare in envy!

  • Debbie replied 6 months ago

You look amazingly cute in that boiler suit. I couldn’t pull it off but love it on those that can. I love your assortment of sneakers.
Sam looks like he is in awe of his Mom!

  • Joy replied 6 months ago

Angie, you are the cutest bubblegum boiler ever. You have many ways to wear that suit. Sam needs a collar and leash to match.

  • Jenna replied 6 months ago

    Crazy cuteness!

  • Firecracker replied 6 months ago

It looks great, Angie! So many fun options! I especially like the combos in 12, 13, and 15. Oh, and the ones with the blush complement, too. The pink and citron color combo strikes me as Most Distinctly Angie.

  • DonnaF replied 6 months ago

    Sensational in all iterations!

  • Star replied 6 months ago

Gorgeous!  Suits you to a T.

  • Joyce B replied 6 months ago

The boiler suit is fab on you. I love all the color combinations and Sam’s approving looks.

  • smittie replied 6 months ago

    I couldn’t imagine a more perfect fit!
Colour is so you and 80’s!

  • Angie replied 6 months ago

    You’re so nice.

Bijou, Nikki, Marija and Slim Cat, you’re awfully gracious, and I appreciate it. Many thanks.

Jonesy, that’s high praise! Thanks for touching my heart by mentioning our precious Sam :)

Debbie and Joy, you are sweethearts. Sam is wearing a matching collar ;)

Firecracker, my beautiful boiler suit buddy! Your kind words mean a lot. AND we are boiler suit twinsies! Sooo fun :)

DonnaF, go Team Boiler Suit. You rock yours.

Star, Joyce and Smittie, it’s a fun wildcard that is becoming a favourite. Couldn't have put money on it. Wooohoo the '80s!

  • kellygirl replied 6 months ago

Just gorgeous! Your outfits are always such a treat. I don't know how you manage to always exude joy. You always make me smile! Thank you for that!

  • Inge replied 6 months ago

I am swooning SOOOO hard here!! This is pure playful perfection, Angie!!! That bubblegum pink, it's just sooo fun and flattering. The fit and silhouette look amazing!! And I loooove all the versions here!!! So good with bright sneakers and coats, and equally gorgeous with your other footwear and jackets/coats!! And the guitar straps on your bags all work so well with the boiler suit too, yay!!

It's of course extra fab when you can wear it sans topper so we get to the suit in all its stunning glory, but I really think it looks amazing with all your toppers too, Angie!!

    You have a winner here!!

P.S. Sam is still thinking about it, it seems ;-)

  • nemosmom replied 6 months ago

This is fab on you, Angie!  I never EVER would have thought to pair bubblegum pink with citron but, my gosh, you make it look so perfectly polished!  I particularly love the effect of the toppers, too!

  • Angie replied 6 months ago

Kelly, Inge and Nemosmom, you're awfully sweet and gracious. Thank you.  Blushing :)

  • lyn67 replied 6 months ago

Wow, pretty in pink-so cute! I just couldn't imagine this can be such a versatile  piece for the right person! Love it with the longer coats, as well as the shorter and stand alone, too! Love your pristine crisp & fresh bright colors, which together with Sam  made me smile on a murky evening! Never change your style Angie, there is always place for another  ray of sunshine in our lives!:-)

  • Beth Ann replied 6 months ago

Thanks for all the amazing stylings!  I can see why you fell in love with this piece. It's pink is such a great foil for your sour brights and is perfect for a wet spring.

I'm so enjoying seeing these jumpsuits on the Forum!

  • shevia replied 6 months ago

Nothing could be more Angie than the version with the citron - and the bedroom lights make your hair bookend your sneakers. Wow, how do you manage to look so elegant and fun at the same time? (Rhetorical question, unless you have the answer :) .)

  • UmmLila replied 6 months ago

OMG, this color, tho! And you look so happy and ready for spring!

  • bella replied 6 months ago

You are a ray of sunshine Angie! So fun and fabulous!

  • Angie replied 5 months ago

Lyn67 and Jaime, you are soooooo kind and gracious with your comments, AND make me laugh. Thank you :)

Beth Ann, UmmLila and Bella, lovely that you chimed in. I'm smiling.

  • Synne replied 5 months ago

    Squee!

  • replied 5 months ago

I LOVE it! All amazingly fun looks, but my fave is with the yellow. Such a happy outfit.

  • Roxanna replied 5 months ago

I love how you become more and more yourself with each passing year - and you are giving me such happy vibes that are much needed during lockdown :)

Love all those Brights together - so you!!

  • Angie replied 5 months ago

Thanks for the kind words Gillian Pearl :)

Roxanna, what a sweet thing to say!

  • RobinF replied 5 months ago

You sure do know how to mix up the brights! So cute on you! Nice to hear that it is easy to wear also. I'm still afraid a boiler suit is not for me but if I came across one I am now tempted to try it. :)

  • Mary Beth (formerly LBD) replied 5 months ago

I am in love with your pink boilersuit looks!   Angie, you look like everything fun and happy about springtime in the early 80s, and I am digging the nostalgia!  <3 <3 <3

If anybody needs me, I'll be listening to the New Wave Station, on Sirius XM.

  • Laura replied 5 months ago

Hot pink looks so good right now, and you wear it to perfection. That jumpsuit is insanely flattering! If you walked down the street past me wearing that first yellow/pink combo, I would swoon with happiness!

  • Angie replied 5 months ago

RobinF, I hope you join Team Boiler Suit.

Mary Beth, thanks for the '80s nostalgic appreciation!

    *happy break dancing*

Laura, my friend, you are as delightful as ever :)

  • JP replied 5 months ago

Oh my God, you are adorable!  I absolutely love how you have styled this boiler suit.  I like the shorter toppers with it and you have the perfect shoes and bags. I love how you added Sam's pictures in between :-) He is approving your outfits with great joy.
I was looking for a white boiler suit and now I want a pink one too, lol.

  • Angie replied 5 months ago

JP, that's high praise coming from your KILLER boiler suit wearing self ;) - thank you.
