WIW: Solid Simple Bright

It's COLD. Snowed today. Stopped now, thankfully! About to head out to work with a client for the rest of the day.

It's been a stressful week. Brights calm me down and make me happy :)

These red velvet pants have become workhorses! Puffy sleeves and cashmere are my Winter jam. The orange coat has a quilted thinsulate lining so its VERY warm. Like a puffer. I'll add red gloves for the short drive.

This is a very comfy outfit, albeit dressy. My work with clients is more active than you expect so I need to be able to move very freely. No outfit malfunctions, and lots of coverage!

11 months in and I'm getting used to my natural dark honey blonde hair and longer locks. It's been an adjustment! Loving its healthy condition, and how it keeps my ears warm. Wish it was four inches longer. This time next year. Patience!

Thanks for looking. xo

This is all so approachable and happy looking ! I’ve always admired those JCrew coats and often wish I had purchased one . This one is great for your wardrobe . I’m laughing at the hair timeline - I remember joining you on the hair growing mission and I think I lasted til March ;)

Hand that entire outfit to me right now, Angie! Sensational and such happy colors! Why did I choose to wear black today?

  • Helena replied 1 year ago

Gorgeous, Angie! You look amazing in these vivid brights and I'll bet you make everyone who sees you smile! Loving the combo of orange, red, and hot pink. Bold and delicious.

And yes...it's cold! I've got red pants on today, too! Well, red plaid....

Amazing how you create outfits that are comfy, functional and dressy all at once, while being visually charming and super flattering to boot. These are great colors together, very authentic Angie. And your hair has a lovely subtle wave, so pretty.

I am here in Seattle for a few days and so happy to be experiencing snow and cold! We don't really get that where I live. I love bundling up.

I can tell these are your happy colors, and I bet they're a showstopper viewed against a snowy, gray downtown Seattle.

  • Irina replied 1 year ago

The best picture is the last one where you smile! Brilliant!

This is Angie attempting to go Goth, kids.

Beautiful brights, Angie. These colors match your personality. I am really liking your hair, too!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks so much for the kind words, everyone! I'm smiling......especially at Cee :)

Sorry to not respond individually. I do appreciate your awfully gracious comments. I've just come home, need to sort out Sam and Jo, and get dressed for a holiday dinner. We have two this weekend. Back later...

  • Bonnie replied 1 year ago

You wear these brights better than anyone. I had a busy day today, too, and wore my red coat over my mustard sweater inspired by you!!

    Chef’s kiss!

  • slim cat replied 1 year ago

Gorgeous! The hair is fab ( warmer ears is a big bonus in Seattle' winter
;-)  , it's colder in Bay Area too and my ears are cold without coverage ).

  • Zaeobi replied 1 year ago

You look like a vibrant sunset :D Not sure if I posted this before or not, but FYI Marina Rinaldi has lots of 'velvet' corduroy pants in your sour brights if you're looking for more!

My favourite part is the coat though - brilliant example of tomato orange/ fiery red & well fitted to boot :)

  • Star replied 1 year ago

Love this bright and happy combination!  Coat is fab.

  • Olive Green replied 1 year ago

Kinda snorting coffee here, Cee. Heh.
I love those colours and wore them together for years. Perks of having been a kid during the psychedelic era. Now I save the orange boots and hats and scarves for accents.
Will go look for the brilliant gloves.

  • sarah replied 1 year ago

Gorgeous. I love your bright outfits!

  • replied 1 year ago

Love your longer, darker hair and your cheery colors!
Sorry about the snow :( Way too early for that stuff!

  • merwoman replied 1 year ago

And brights love you back! Hair is looking sooo good beautiful lady, and it does take boatloads of patience.  My grow out took a good 4 to 5 years, but it’s all about the journey, isn’t it?

  • Cee replied 1 year ago

    ...and now I'm SPENT !

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

    Thanks so much, everyone!

Merwoman, your hair growth journey is an inspiration :)

    Zaeobi, I saw, thank you!

bonnie, I'm humbled to have inspired your fab self.

Your hair is looking beautiful too, my sweet friend!!
