WIW: Orange Oats with Blue

Worked with a client all day and wore this. My client meetings are very active because I move around and walk a lot. I get very stuck into cleaning out closets! I was super comfy thanks to fluid fits and happy feet :)

I LOVE wearing bright columns of colour. Here's texture-rich orange with faux leather pants and a cashmere jumper. I adore orange with some type of blue! Chose turquoise as the blue. Very old Furla matches my specs. Wooohooo! White pearls - always. Feel naked without them.

Tan textured herringbone classic coat over the top. All items are several seasons old except for the coat. That's new this year. I thought it a pretty match with my new honey hair!

Sam and Jo in good form, and supportive. They are wearing their orange collars to match.

Thanks for looking, and have a lovely weekend. xo

That coat is the crème de la crème for this outfit . Super fun outfit :)

  • Suz replied 1 year ago

Oooh, so fab, Angie. LOVE the new coat on you, especially with the orange. It's so sweet to see you hearken back to your homeland via your colour palette and you look amazing in orange! Warm, vibrant, energetic. The light blue is a beautiful complement.

Although I'm cooler toned overall than you -- when my hair was naturally dark honey blonde (in my 20s and 30s) I wore oatmeal (especially oatmeal with taupe) SO WELL. It was one of my favourite neutrals. I still like it, in fact, and can sometimes wear it.

  • Karie replied 1 year ago

Love your hair colour and your coat.  Fabulous!  Doggies steal my heart.  Do you and Sam have the same hair colour? :)

  • Inge replied 1 year ago

The orange is absolutely stunning on you, Angie, gorgeous with the turquoise and cream too. And the new coat is perfect with your darker hair!

Such a happy, saturated column of orange and with your little buddies in their compliment of orange too. Finished off beautifully with the cream coat.

  • Helena replied 1 year ago

    Absolutely stunning!!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks for the kind and supportive words, everyone! Sam and Jo thank you too. Lovely to see you chime in :)

Team Orange is a very small team. Apparently, it is the least liked colour in the world.

It is finally cold and rainy in Seattle - it took a month longer than usual. Now October feels right!

Suz, YES! I can believe it. And I was thinking of YOU when I got these taupe boots, since they were sooooo you back when you had honey coloured hair too.

  • JAileen replied 1 year ago

Your new coat is fab!  I love herringbone.  And your orange is lovely and seasonal.

I’ve always loved orange and blue together (wore it yesterday, in fact), so of course I’m knocked out by this look!  And the gorgeous coat to top it all off, my word.  Obviously Sam and Jo approve and are on board with it all.  Perfect!

  • Suz replied 1 year ago

I love orange -- just can't wear it. But honestly, I love every colour. :)

Those taupe boots would have been exactly up my alley with dark blonde hair. I stlll own and wear a pair of taupe boots. Taupe works with grey hair, not so much as a bookender, but almost -- if the taupe is soft enough it sort of blends in. It's also my version of "earth tone." I like my taupe suit, too!

  • Bonnie replied 1 year ago

Your orange pants and top look amazing together and accessorizing with white and blue is perfect, Love the new hair, beautiful cut and color.

  • cat2 replied 1 year ago

    Gorgeous new coat.

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

    Thanks so much, everyone!

SW Ann and Xtabay, lovely that you bat for Team Orange too :)

bonnie, we have similar hair :)

Suz, OH! The taupe suit! Did we get the jacket at the Boston gathering? It's one of your most famous pieces. Do you still wear it? YES to taupe being earthy, and working with grey hair. You wear Queen Taupe!

My sandy taupe suit has a cream windowpane, which crisps up the earthiness and works well with my pearls.

  • Minaminu replied 1 year ago

Orange is a fab colour but so demanding! Bizarrely, it works brilliantly for all my Dutch friends :)

How are the trousers, is the material comfortable?

  • Cardiff girl replied 1 year ago

Ohmygoodness, lookhow much your hair has grown!Lovelyzingy outfit too to brighten a dull autumn day.

  • replied 1 year ago

Fresh as a daisy! Fabulous texture on the new coat. Great addition to your wardrobe :)

  • Jaime replied 1 year ago

Would it be wrong to say that your hair sort of matches Sam's fur? Regardless, you both are extremely photogenic! You are like a moving burst of sunshine. Also love the mix with the blue bag and wide strap. Coat fits like it was made for you. Thanks for posting!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks so much, Nikki and Cardiff Girl!

Minaminu, the trousers are VERY comfy. Soft, warm, and like wearing sweats almost.

Jaime, YES! I am morphing into our doggies. Not a bad thing ;)

  • Katerina replied 1 year ago

You look gorgeous! I love column of color, especially a bright one. The orange with textures - wow, unexpected and super cute. Love the turquoise accents. Beautiful new coat!

  • JP replied 1 year ago

Oh WOW... Amazing outfit. I'm kinda jealous that you can wear orange, haha you look gorgeous and I love your hair.

  • Suz replied 1 year ago

Angie, I got the whole suit there at the Boston gathering. It was on sale. I don't wear it a lot but love it every time I do wear it. I wore the jacket quite a bit on its own in earlier years. Will have to pull it out again!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Katerina and JP! You're back. What a treat :)

Suz, thanks for jogging my memory. SUCH a fun gathering. You've been challenged to wear your taupe suit!

  • lyn67 replied 1 year ago

YLF Angie, radiant and fresh as always! I ove your cheery column of dutch orange with the natural eccents-and the baby blue bag!  My fall tote is exactly the same color and I lov it. .

Ginger and Mary Beth, that is high praise! Appreciate it.

Jenn, I think the light blue specs look better with my darker hair. Higher contrast.

Such a jolt of fabulosity! It continues to amaze me that you can be in head to toe (okay, neck to ankle, lol) bright orange and have it look casually chic and so genuine to your style. Love the oatmeal topcoat and the burst of bright blue. Quintessential fall colors and textures!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks, Jonesy! That's high praise - appreciate it - and know you miss the pattern in this outfit :)

Here's a pic I forgot to post of Jo and I looking down. Hilarious doggies....
