Go Team Wear!

LOVE my new gold NAS Mary Janes. Just so pretty!!! I love pretty things :)

Worn with a new bold and unstructured shirtdress, plus10 year old orange Furla. The dress has a belt - but wore it without yesterday.

Excuse the bad, bad pics. Probably in the rental unit till the end of the year. Remodel has been extended.

Happy feet! xo

Oh Angie I LOVE this dress!  I too am wearing loose unstructured dresses without belts in our current heat wave.  YLF!

  • Olive Green replied 4 months ago

Ah, the shoes are pretty and strict at the same time. Not precious.
And I love a bit of volume, so this is a wonderful summer uniform look.

  • Angie replied 4 months ago

    Thanks, Star

We set heatwave records in Seattle last week too.

I love belted shirtdresses as much as unbelted ones. Was in the mood for NO belt yesterday. That's the way it goes ;)

  • Angie replied 4 months ago

Olive Green, such playfully fun shoes! A lucky good fit for my feet.

YES the dresses - and skirts! - with volume. I don't wear any other kind. They must be roomy from the waist down. Have to be able to move fast and freely with with doggies in tow ;)

  • delurked replied 4 months ago

nice shoes, and as an unstructured dress fan, welcome to the heat!

  • Dee replied 4 months ago

Such a fun bold pattern dress, looks terrific and pretty shoes too. Shame the Reno is taking longer than you’d originally planned.

  • Suz replied 4 months ago

Super cute dress on you -- I love how it is neat at the shoulder line but expansive elsewhere -- waist surrendering. And the new shoes look fab!

  • Runcarla replied 4 months ago

    *Chef’s kiss!*

  • Bonnie replied 4 months ago

Love the new gold shoes and the way they look with your outfit. Do you really take the doggies for a walk dressed like this? You look like you are going to a fancy party!

  • Jenny H replied 4 months ago

This all looks so great! I love it.

  • Lisa replied 4 months ago

Yay for team wear! You look lovely as always Angie. I adore the longer hair. I hope all is well. Best of luck with the remodel!

  • Angie replied 4 months ago

    Thanks, everyone!

delurked, like you, I think roomy dresses are best for high heat! HIGH FIVE.

Dee, you are so lovely! I appreciate the remodel empathy. Onward we go....

Suz, astute you described how I can wear volume - neat on the shoulders (and neckline!) - and big everywhere else, and not unlike you too ;)

bonnie, we live in the city, so if it's an urban doggie walk - which I do a few times a day - YES! I stay in the clothes I have on already -  I'm dressy) - and walk Sam and Jo (who are well behaved and easy to walk). It's not on a trail or at a muddy dog park, IYKWIM. Then I would wear casual clothes and mud-friendly shoes. Thanks for the sweet words!

Lisa, what a TREAT to see you here on my thread - WOW! Missed you! Thanks for the sweet compliments, and yes all good our side. Patience is a virtue with remodeling. Hope all is good your side too :)

Carla and JennyH, thanks for chiming in!

  • gryffin replied 4 months ago

You look fab!! Love the dress - like 60’s mod but more elegant at the length and bag has major birkin vibes and awesome with the flats! Just fantastic!

  • Roberta replied 4 months ago

I love to see a woman in such strong colors! And that bag is divine. I know you are really feeling the heat out there (and lots of folks with minimal or no AC), so stay cool however you can.

  • Angie replied 4 months ago

    Thank you, everyone!

Gryffin, I know, right? The pattern of the dress has a retro vibe that drew me in. You get it ;) - as well as a Birkin the Furla way....

Roberta, high five to enjoying strong colours! And yes - heatwave this side. Luckily our rental has a/c.

  • LJP replied 4 months ago

Ah - gorgeous . I love that dress / shoes and how you’ve styled them . It’s all you . Shoe envy over here!

  • Jaime replied 4 months ago

I should take such bad, bad pics! I would be posting every day :) . Love the bold dress with the pretty shoes. I think of you every time I see a Furla. Hair is fab too!

  • Brooklyn replied 4 months ago

Gorgeous! I love the mod 60s vibe of this outfit.

  • Sal replied 4 months ago

Great summer look. Shoes are perfect for you and the dress is fun!!

  • Suntiger replied 4 months ago

Yay for wearing what you like and getting on with the day :) You look groovy!

  • kkards replied 4 months ago

70s mod dressing brought into the 2020s. FAB

  • Cee replied 4 months ago

    That's some uber cool '60s FAHHHH-SION vibes, Angie !

You could have Sam in a mini-Austin Powers outfit and glasses to accessorise :D

  • Cee replied 4 months ago

Oh and don't forget the British dentures !

  • slim cat replied 4 months ago

Lovely summer look and gorgeous new gold flats - amazing all together!

  • Angie replied 4 months ago

    Thanks, everyone!

Brooklyn, Cee , Suntiger, and kkards, I see the '60s and '70s integrity here too! Hence I pounced. Along with the '80s, I have a weakness for those decades :) (After all, Retro is a one of my style adjectives!)

LJP, dainty shoes are finally trending, and I'm milking it! Hope you find your version of these darling Mary Janes.

Jaime, how lovely to be thought of with Furla! - and thanks for the hair love ;)

Sal and Slimcat, appreciate your lovely words, as always!

  • Lisa replied 4 months ago

Yes, things are good here Angie! Looking forward to seeing the rest of your NAS pieces as they trickle in. I have placed some online orders myself, but as the day continues, more and more items are being canceled. Boo!

  • Karie replied 4 months ago

Wow! I love the shirtdress! Bold and beautiful!

  • Angie replied 4 months ago

Lisa, glad things are good - and still in NJ? URGH! Those cancelled orders are annoying. I've had some too. Keep on at it. Things will calm down in a bit.

Karie, thanks for the kind words :)

  • Janet replied 4 months ago

You look gorgeous! Love the breeziness of the unbelted dress.

Ugh, so sorry the construction continues to be pushed back! Sooooo frustrating.

  • April replied 4 months ago

Longer hair is a thumbs up from me as well!

    Renovations... and so it goes.

  • Helena replied 4 months ago

    Gorgeous!

  • Bijou replied 4 months ago

That dress! I love everything about this look, the shoes are perfection.

  • Angie replied 4 months ago

    Thanks, everyone!

Janet, go Team Breezy Summer Dress! And thanks for the remodel commiseration. Oy vey.....

    April, appreciate the hair affection!

Helena and Bijou, lovely to see you chime in, and thanks for the kind compliments :)

  • aloha emily replied 4 months ago

GORGEOUS, Angie!! So striking and pretty! You look amazing.

  • sarah replied 4 months ago

    Dutch orange for the win!!!!

So sorry about the remodel. UGH.

  • Eliza replied 4 months ago

Love a breezy dress and you wear that one to perfection. Reminds me of 60s op-art and Furla’s have great staying power.

Hang in there with the seemingly endless reno. You somehow manage to look as put together as ever! We start a significant home project in a couple of weeks and as I pack, I find myself picturing only the end result, skipping right over the chaos and inevitable missteps. I expect the ability to delude myself will be short-lived.

  • Angie replied 4 months ago

Emily, Sarah and Eliza, how nice to see you chime in! I'm smiling at your sweet compliments :)

Eliza, good luck with your home renovation project! Hang on to the delusion ;)

  • ChristelJ replied 4 months ago

I do love it when you post your joyful outfits! Always unique and beautiful, and this is another one that spreads happiness like no one's business! Also, your hair looks divine.

  • Lisa replied 4 months ago

Angie, excellent memory! I'm in NC now and enjoying the longer summer's and having many more warm days. For orders, I've noticed that items that were canceled, if I place a new order, for some reason those are going through, this may be something for others to try if they are struggling with cancelations as well. Now I just need some pieces to get here. The only thing that arrived so far, is socks!

  • Mary Beth (formerly LBD) replied 4 months ago

Super-cute!   I love that dress, and the shoes are perfect!

Bummer about the renovation.  I hope things pick up!

  • unfrumped replied 4 months ago

That is a great iteration of unstructured dress. I think it is your choice of bold abstract print, which translates better than a ditsy print or solid. More avant- garde or something.

  • Debbie replied 4 months ago

Love everything about this outfit. The bold colors. The shoes!!
You look put together and beautiful as always!

  • Angie replied 4 months ago

    Thanks so much!

ChristelJ, that's high praise, and I'm blushing - WOW :)

Lisa! From NJ to NC is quite the change! Glad it's working out. Thanks for the re-ordering tip, and happy belated birthday! I think you're a few days after me :)

Mary Beth and Debbie, thanks for the awfully kind words! You're both so lovely :)

unfrumped, the bold graphic pattern in my colours is what drew me in right away!

  • JAileen replied 4 months ago

That dress really had your name on it, didn’t it?  And the gold shoes bookend your hair so beautifully.

  • Angie replied 4 months ago

JAileen, it did! I have the blue version too :)

    Thanks for the kind compliments.

  • JP replied 4 months ago

Very chic! I love the print of the dress and it looks good on you without the belt.

  • Angie replied 4 months ago

Thanks, JP! Lovely to see you back on the forum :)

  • BlueJay replied 4 months ago

Oh fun outfit! I'm glad all of these have worked out for you, Angie! So bold and bright! Love it!

I've tried many ballet flats and Mary Jane's this spring and summer and none are working out for me as I have a bunion on the side of one of my feet. "It's not me, it's the shoe!" :) They look so cute on you!

  • Angie replied 4 months ago

    Thanks, Blue Jay

It's always the shoe - not your foot! If it's soft leather, you can have the area around the bunion stretched for comfort. Planting the seed :)

  • Jonesy replied 4 months ago

Gorgeous dress and beautiful accessorizing! You look equally smashing in bold prints and quieter solids! Renovations extended to the end of the year is a bitter pill to swallow :(.

  • Angie replied 4 months ago

Jonesy! Wooohooo! Queen Pattern! I knew you'd like the dress :) And am smiling at your compliments. Thank you! Not smiling at our remodel delay...

  • Jonesy replied 4 months ago

Would you believe I'm wearing more solids lately, and sometimes I don't even wear a print at all in an outfit? It's crazy! I think with all of the chaos of life, solids feel soothing :).

  • Angie replied 4 months ago

I get that, Jonesy! Listen to your feelings and follow your dressing mood ;)

I'm wearing patterns for you in Summer!

  • Cee replied 4 months ago

Re the longer hair, watch it doesn't get away on you !
