WIW: Horseshoe Pink

This is the last of bad pics in the rental unit. A few in natural light so you can see the palette of the outfit accurately.

We move back into our remodeled loft in one week!!!

This post is to tell you about these awesome Gap Horseshoe Jeans that come in 9 colours across regular, petite, and tall. They are VERY LIGHTWEIGHT, and can be worn like Summer chinos. Roomy and soft. They are not high rise as the description suggests. I have a relatively short rise, and they work well on me. You might need to size down:

My client and friend found them, and shared the link with me. She has them too, and rocks them!

I have a great and varied jeans capsule. Jeans have to be super unique to add to it. I fell in love when I saw the pastel pink pair because they are different to what I have. They also have a nostalgic '80s vibe, are another horsey addition, and match my pink specs :)

I'm wearing them now on this gorgeous Spring day, with orange, peachy-toffee, cream, and gold.

I'm running around doing a hundred errands. Back later. Thanks for looking! xo

p.s. The jeans need a press - creased! Oh, well. Not today ;)

So excited for you to move back into your home!!!

Those jeans are dramatic and fun. And what an interesting color pairing — I never would have tried it, but it works! YLF as always!

  • Bonnie replied 2 weeks ago

Wow! These jeans are great. Gold, white, beige, and red are a beautiful combo of colors. So happy that you get to move back.

  • Angie replied 2 weeks ago

VERY excited to move back too!

Thanks, Janet! Pink, orange, cream and gold are versatile colours ;)

    Bonnie, appreciate your kind compliments!

  • Suz replied 2 weeks ago

Gorgeous! The pink seems exceptionally versatile. Really interesting colour combo with the orange shirt and the toffee jacket! Unusual, unexpected, but it works!

  • ChristelJ replied 2 weeks ago

Magnificent jeans, and beautiful sorbet colors together in this outfit!  Your hair is looking amazing too.

  • Dee replied 2 weeks ago

Wowza, those jeans are a fun statement piece. Gorgeous spring colour palette with shimmers of gold. Glad to hear your renovations are almost done, very exciting.

  • Carol replied 2 weeks ago

So cool! But like all newer trends, intimidating for me. I wonder...do they keep their shape while you are walking down the street, or do they bunch and flow, more like a light trouser would?

  • Kyle replied 2 weeks ago

Love your fun and dramatic new jeans, Angie. They make a big, fashion-forward statement and look terrific on you.

  • Angie replied 2 weeks ago

    Thanks, everyone.

Suz, yes! Soft pastel pink - like a blush - is versatile for my wardrobe. I have a bag in the same colour that's in storage. SOON TO BE LET OUT!

ChristelJ, thanks for the generous words! Like the association with sorbet too :)

Dee, such sweet compliments, as always! Gold is my metal :)

  • Angie replied 2 weeks ago

Carol, good question! Road tested all day, and the jeans hold their shape beautifully. No flopping, swooshing or draping - despite the soft 100% cotton fabric. GORGEOUS fabric!

Kyle, thanks for the awfully kind words. Maybe you'll try them too! In Talls  :)

Love the colour mixing and styling here - that RLL shirt is great !  Pale pink is a perfect colour for your wardrobe  - glad you found a fun pair of pants you like :)

  • Kate replied 2 weeks ago

Oh my. This are right up my alley. Off to look. Thank you, Angie!

  • Angie replied 2 weeks ago

LJP, thank you! The RLL shirt was cheap as chips at the outlet mall. I got lucky. Yes! Pale pink is versatile in my wardrobe :)

Kate, some of the colours are on sale!

When Gap gets it right - they really get it right. Prices are sooo good.

I was going to ask what made a colour “horseshoe pink” but I realise after thinking about it that it’s the shape that’s named after the horseshoe?
Too dramatic for me, but you enjoy!

  • kellygirl replied 2 weeks ago

I’m so happy that you get to move back home! How exciting! Love the horseshoe jeans on you. I wore mine today and can attest to their comfort! Love the outfit!

  • Bijou replied 2 weeks ago

Those jeans are so different and a great addition to your wardrobe. I love the colour of the RLL shirt on you - just stunning!

  • Star replied 2 weeks ago

You look fabulous Angie!  Love the gold with this outfit.  My favourite work dress in the 80s was this colour pink.  Specs are fab too. Your prettiness shines through.

  • UmmLila (Lisa) replied 2 weeks ago

I adore this color combination on you. The jeans are super fun

  • bella replied 2 weeks ago

Great color combo. Your hair looks very pretty Angie!

  • Brooklyn replied 2 weeks ago

Very dramatic and sculptural! Love the pink colour too. You can join me on team non-neutral denim :) YLF!

  • Lisa replied 2 weeks ago

One week, that's awesome! I'd be counting the minutes! Congratulations!

This outfit is such a soft, pretty palette of orange, pink, and toffee and it goes so well with the touches of gold. The classic button-down top paired with the on trend horseshoe bottoms is such a fun mixture of classics and trends.

Angie, you are the master at mixing classics, trends, and color. It's inspirational! This outfit definitely put a smile on my face, it's superb!

Lost of luck for a smooth move next week. That's very exciting!

  • Val MN replied 2 weeks ago

Those jeans have so much swoosh, they’re almost like a skirt! Fun. And startlingly different from the product photo, where they just look like a straight wide leg.

  • Angie replied 2 weeks ago

    Thanks, everyone!

JenniNZ, yes. The silhouette is described as Horseshoe jeans - as mentioned up top! I'll enjoy them for you :)

Kelly, a big horseshoe jeans HIGH FIVE! Appreciate the kind words.

Bijou, thanks for the compliments! Dutch orange for the dutch gal :)

UmmLila, can see you sport a similar palette!

Bella, thanks for the hair love!

Brooklyn, YES! I've been on Team Non-Neutral Denim with you for a while. I have shocking pink and red pairs of jeans too.

Lisa, much appreciate the awfully generous words! I'm blushing. Describing my style as a Colourful Trendy Classic is accurate :)

Star, awwwh, thank you! Pretty in pink is soothing, right? We need extra soothing these days.

  • Angie replied 2 weeks ago

Val MN, the jeans are better in person than on the stock photo! Lots of sculptural volume :)

  • Jaime replied 2 weeks ago

Squee - you are finally going home! This has been a long slog but I am sure it will be worth it. As for the jeans, you might be the perfect model for them because they look so much more interesting on you than the website. Gorgeous and original outfit! (Original is my highest compliment these days ;) .)

  • JAileen replied 2 weeks ago

I’m interested in what you’re wearing with pale pink jeans.  I have a (very conventional) pair of pale pink jeans that I wore this past week.  I wore them with a charcoal tee, hoodie and Adidas.  Your outfit is much dressier, of course, but also gives me ideas.

  • Laura replied 2 weeks ago

First of all, about the semantics, I like Gap's use of "horseshoe jeans" better than "barrel jeans"! Words matter :) You wear these perfectly in your own inimitable way, with a tailored shirt and shiny gold belt and loafers. Plus, who would think to combine coral, pale pink, toffee and gold? Angie would!

  • Lynette replied 1 week ago

So.Stinkin'.Cute!!! You astound me! What an inspiration you are, Angie! Also, your hair is looking fab and was so worth the effort it took to grow it out. I feel it is more you than the pixie, although I did love that at the time.

  • Angie replied 1 week ago

    Thank you, everyone!

Jaime, such generous words, and I’m blushing! Humbled to have received your highest accolade :)

JAileen, glad you’re inspired! Try whites and blues with your pale pink jeans.

Laura, that is high praise, WOW! Appreciate your upbeat, kind, and positive words as always. I’m smiling :)

Lynette, gosh! More generous words. Thanks so much! Appreciate the hair love. I’m much enjoying the change of colour! Who knew my natural shade of dark blonde would be easiest, and the most versatile :)

Angie, what a find! The jeans are so good with that outfit. I love the pink, orange, toffee, and gold, and your pink glasses are perfect with the outfit. You are the picture of spring! The jeans fabric sounds fantastic for Seattle summer dressing.

  • Angie replied 1 week ago

Sharan, thanks for the sweet words! YES, these are great pants for Seattle Springs and Summers - maybe you need a pair ;)
