WIW: Greg's FAVE for 2022

Here are two very similar looks, yet they are a little different.

The dark neutrals are navy! I don't wear black.

I LOVE wearing these types of proportions. Shorter knitwear with higher rises in roomy silhouettes.

Look #1:

With a more fitted and slightly shorter striped zippered sweater with high neckline. Greg voted the outfit with the big barrel jeans and this sweater his favourite of the year! He loves rugby stripes too. I've worn it three times in his honour, including out for dinner for our 26th wedding anniversary :)

Look #2:

The same outfit but with a boxy short striped sweater with matching scarf and beanie. I got the three piece set for Christmas from the family. And yes, I wear them together. Why not!

The cream jeans are warm and Winter weight. The maxi navy coat is an absolute wardrobe essential and workhorse.

Hair wavy. Hair hat head. Hair has a mind of its own. I'm rolling with it....

Jo has taken over Sam's modeling career.

Thanks for looking! xo

Purely LOVE these outfits!  Jealous. :D

  • Debbie replied 1 year ago

I can see why they are Greg’s favorite. Love them!

  • Tanya replied 1 year ago

Absolutely amazing all around. They read both like very you and very on trend. And of course Jo can’t help but steal all the attention, she is adorable.

  • Jenn replied 1 year ago

Those jeans are super cool and I loooove the silhouette with the Christmas knitwear. Jo’s a natural, too.

  • slim cat replied 1 year ago

Joyful and exuberant - fun outfits! Jo is fab add on ;) !

  • CarolS replied 1 year ago

Greg has EXCELLENT taste. Being on team boxy sweater myself, I am especially fond of the Everlane sweater. I love the stripe on stripe combinations!!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks so much, everyone! Appreciate the kind words :)

Tanya and Slim Cat, of course Jo steals the show!

I'm cooking up a storm today. Dinner party tonight. Back later...

  • Dee replied 1 year ago

A delightful, fashion forward combo of stripes and cream, and a  gorgeous maxi coat to top it all off.

  • Christina F. replied 1 year ago

Love these! I have that Everlane sweater too, and it’s really nice.

  • replied 1 year ago

You look crisp and pretty in stripes! Excellent pieces and excellent colors. Nice to see your Christmas gifts in action. Great accessories for style and warmth. Love the winter white look ❤️

  • Suz replied 1 year ago

So much fun! I love your hair with the navy! The warm tones in the hair (which also coordinate so well with Jo, by the way) really make your blue specs and the blues in the stripes and the coat pop!)

So in love with that coat -- why oh why could Nordies not sell it up in Canada? Sigh...

So glad you can tolerate your dressier footwear again!

  • replied 1 year ago

I absolutely adore both looks!  Jo needs a matching hat and scarf.  You are making me excited for the barrel jeans I ordered from Everlane last week.  Now I’m thinking I need to order a blue-and-white sweater, too!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thank you! All sooooo lovely :)

Christina, waving at my my sweater twin!

Suz, sooo wish you had the navy coat too! Yes, toe has finally healed after 5 months....

Xtabay, you are right! Jo needs to match, and size down on the Everlane sweater.

  • kkards replied 1 year ago

Gosh I love them both!  The cream barrel jeans are TDF.  And your legs look sooooo long in the 1st outfit.  But the stripe on stripe on stripe of the 2nd, is just so good.   ‘Chef’s kiss’

  • DonnaF replied 1 year ago

You really rock those barrel pants. I see why Greg chose both outfits. Not as colorful as usual but very you.

  • Bonnie replied 1 year ago

    Both versions are fabulous.

  • cat2 replied 1 year ago

You are so fortunate! My husband shies like a horse at unfamiliar colors and shapes.

  • rachylou replied 1 year ago

    Wow! I’m blown away! Shazam!

  • Eliza replied 1 year ago

This is happiness. You blend classic with fresh in the most compelling ways, Angie. Thanks for sharing.

  • Irina replied 1 year ago

You look wonderful! Love both outfits with a slight preference to #2.

  • Kate replied 1 year ago

Love these outfits, especially those jeans. My favorite silhouette.

  • ChristelJ replied 1 year ago

Big fan of the barrel jeans here, and of the cosy creams and snappy blues. You look amazing. I like both sweater silhouettes equally.

  • Runcarla replied 1 year ago

Fab and fun silouhette with the barrel pants.  My favourite is the maximal matchy matchy with all the stripes!  You wear navy and cream/white so well.  Can I say KILLER!?!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks so much, people! I might wear one of these looks tonight to host - if I’m in the mood for neutrals ;)

Carla, course you can, and blushing!

cat2, it's fun that hubs Greg takes an interest in my style. Not complaining!

  • LJP replied 1 year ago

Meticulously styled as always :). I love the 3 piece set - what a great idea !

  • Cardiff girl replied 1 year ago

I was already loving the outfit but then along came the hat!!(hair looks fab by the way)

  • Inge replied 1 year ago

    Happy squeal!!!!-))))

I don't even have to tell you how much I love both these outfits (and high five, Greg!!). ALL the stripes, swoon!!-)

I love the silhouettes too! The fitted Sporty Luxe pullover in outfit one with the voluminous barrel jeans: soooo good. And the striped scarf, beanie and pullover in the second outfit: you are the personification of my happy place :-)))

Jo is a natural at modelling, of course!

  • replied 1 year ago

Awww Jo :) Love that coat especially, and your legs look super long!

  • Janet replied 1 year ago

Just gorgeous. Love those jeans on you and only wish I could wear that kind of style half so well. I LOVE your new hair!

  • SarahD8 replied 1 year ago

These are great! I especially love the pattern mixing, or pattern repetition, with the multiple stripes.

Greg likes dramatic jeans silhouettes, no? I seem to remember that he was a staunch supporter of your jodhpur jeans too.

  • Roberta replied 1 year ago

The silhouette is excellent! Your legs look a mile long, like a very, very, chic French sailor.

  • Jonesy replied 1 year ago

These are both so fabulous--I am on Team Greg's Favorites for 2022 :). They both manage to be really architectural and structurally interesting, while also casual enough for everyday. I love the slight wave in your hair, and that little flippy part that's kind of in your eyes in a few pics--very charming! Jo is a doll who loves her mama sooo much.

  • Jaime replied 1 year ago

So I now know that Greg is stripes guy :) . You look amazing in the architectural jeans and cropped sweater, I can see why it was a favorite. And I like your hair with a little wave!

  • Sloper replied 1 year ago

Stripes, navy and sweet vanilla (I must have a food reference always).  Very special,

  • Bijou replied 1 year ago

Gorgeous! I love photo #11 with the 3-piece stripe set and Jo. Congratulations on your wedding anniversary!

  • merwoman replied 1 year ago

Love!!And your hair is looking sensational! Perfect eyewear for these gorgeous outfits!

  • Joy replied 1 year ago

Love!  So much cuteness and style!

  • Star replied 1 year ago

I do love stripes, especially navy and white, and you wear them so well.   Hair is Killer :)

  • Lesley replied 1 year ago

So fun, all your looks are always so fun. You always remind me of the Nordic villains as depicted in the 60s and 70s Bond films, and I mean that in the very best possible way.

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks for the awfully kind words, everyone!

Janet, Jaime, Merwoman, Star, Jonesy, Cardiff Girl, thanks for the hair compliments :)

SarahD8, good memory! YES. Greg found my jodhpur jeans for me. He IS a lover of dramatic pants and jeans :)

Jonesy and Bijou, appreciate you mentioned our baby girl! Words cannot describe how much we love our doggies. You get it.

Inge, Queen Stripe needs a three-piece matching stripe set too!

Lesley, you crack me up in the most delightful way! Rest assured your comparison was taken as a compliment :)

  • Laura replied 1 year ago

Your dramatic jeans are inspiring! I've just ordered 2 pairs of lantern pants. You know what they say! New year, new pants silhouette :)

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Yay, Laura! Hope they work out.

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 1 year ago

These are super fantastic outfits on you, Angie. I love the proportions of both sweaters with the barrel jeans. (I didn't know that shape of pant-leg could look so long!) And the coordinating striped beanie and scarf! You wear navy and cream beautifully!

  • Sally replied 1 year ago

Your hair looks amazing.   I love the crispness of the navy and cream and the shape of the jeans....the outfits are fabulous.  I can see the attraction of navy instead of black.

  • Karie replied 1 year ago

I love it all. Those jeans remind me of my favorite pair from the ‘80s. It’s all spectacular!

  • Kyle replied 1 year ago

You had me at the high neck — it’s a look I just adore. And of course your most stylish and lovable accessory Jo. Cute as a button. Now I’m inspired to style and wear wear my cream jeans. Hope I can do half as well as you!

  • lyn67 replied 1 year ago

Fab winter whites with a  navy accent-love these both!

  • RobinF replied 1 year ago

Great outfits! Love the jeans! And the dressy coat amps up the glamour - perfect!

  • Angie replied 1 year ago

Thanks, everyone! Appreciate the kind words. And Jo does too :)

    Sharan, you are awfully gracious!

My legs look long because of these details:

    • full length pants (not cropped)
    • high waist
    • short top that exposes the high waist
    • shoes same colour as the pants
I don't have particularly long legs and don't wear heels, but the outfit details accentuate!
