Replacement Orange Pleather Pants!

Here is the back story:

Winner, winner, chicken dinner :)

Even better than the last pair. Longer, wider, snugger fit on the hips and waist, cute pockets! LOVE the front 11.5 inch high rise.

Style: Maeve: The Colette;type=STA

Longer and wider on me than on the model.

Wearing them with burgundy and cream today. Sorry, just this fast pic! Busy day.

Angie, that is fast work! They’re fantastic!

  • Suz replied 3 weeks ago

Love them! This is the same style as the cords and velvet pants that you've recommended in the past. I really like this cut on you! And it seems to work really well across a range of body types also.

  • LJP replied 3 weeks ago

I bought these in olive green ponte knit a couple of weeks ago . Haven’t even tried them on yet - lol. It’s the footwear issue that’s holding me up. These are so great on you ! Not many women can wear orange faux leather pants but you sure can !

  • slim cat replied 3 weeks ago

Perfect! Fast and efficient replacement with fab results!

Whee! There will always be a place in your closet for these.

  • Irina replied 3 weeks ago

    Yes! Perfect!
I got these in orange cotton mix but they are too big. Waiting for a smaller size to arrive.

  • Nikki replied 3 weeks ago

Yay! The pockets and button are so good :)

  • Bonnie replied 3 weeks ago

They look better than you than on the model!

  • Angie replied 3 weeks ago

Thanks so much, everyone! Yes, it was a fast and fab replacement :)

Suz, good eye and memory. The Colette is a good fit for many it seems. I have white jeans in the same cut, and they are sublime! I hope you're able to try them in Vancouver.

    LJP, eager to see yours!

Irina, do you mean these in orange - I have my eye on them too!

  • Irina replied 3 weeks ago

Angie, yes! They call them red but they are bright orange

  • Debbie replied 3 weeks ago

Thanks so much, everyone! The new pants are AWESOME.

Irina, we might be orange Summer pant twins :)

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 3 weeks ago

  • DonnaF replied 3 weeks ago

    These are even better!

  • Sal replied 3 weeks ago

Love these on you Angie - they look terrific!

  • CarolS replied 3 weeks ago

Yes, even better than the original! So glad you found such a perfect replacement.

  • bella replied 3 weeks ago

Yay! They look very good, what a happy replacement story!

  • Angie replied 3 weeks ago

Thanks so much, everyone! YES, they are even better than the old - and more comfy than the old pair. I'm wearing them with a very happy heart :)

Also: I noticed that my body heat takes away the creases in pleather. Interesting....

  • Joy replied 3 weeks ago

Body heat also removes any creases in leather.  Are these pull on? What is the in-seam length?

  • Nadya replied 3 weeks ago

So glad they’re even better than the retired pair!

I’m telling you, I think Maeve the Colette are magic pants.  I’m long waisted, wear a size 20, a very different shape than Angie, and they’re my favorite pants. I have four pairs!

  • Angie replied 3 weeks ago

Joy, not pull on. Half elastic at the back, and zipper fly with button in front. Inseam length on mine is 26 inches, size 25. It will lengthen as you go up in sizes.

  • Angie replied 3 weeks ago

Nadya, you are soooo right! The Colette by Maeve - Anthropologie house brand - IS a magical fit! So far it has fit every client who has tried it across sizes 00 to 20. Some size down, and some up. Fabric varies too. You have amassed a KILLER collection! Gorgeous on you!

I have two pairs in The Colette: orange pleather, and white denim. LOVE :)

  • kkards replied 3 weeks ago

and Nadya thanks for the review will keep this style on my radar

  • nemosmom replied 3 weeks ago

Gosh, these are fun!! I like them better than your first pair! Can’t wait to see how you style them.

  • Joy replied 3 weeks ago

Thank you for you reply, Angie.  These pants.will be fun.

  • Sisi replied 3 weeks ago

What a luck! As others have already said, these look even better! So glad for you.

  • lyn67 replied 3 weeks ago

Love these, I always loved cropped widelegs a bit longer(akas 7/8?),  too!!

  • Angie replied 3 weeks ago

Thanks everyone! I like a happy ending :)

  • Jonesy replied 3 weeks ago

Fabulous replacement! I am such a lover of the half-elastic back feature in pants--it is hidden for the most part and makes them so much more comfy!

  • Inge replied 3 weeks ago

Woohoo!! So glad you found these, Angie and that you love them even more than the first pair!! They look stunning on!

  • Angie replied 3 weeks ago

You're all sooooo nice! Thank you :)

I think I'll wear the pants again today.....

  • JP replied 3 weeks ago

I'm late to this post... Gorgeous pair. I just saw your post about the other pair, ouch, but as you said the happy ending is great! Enjoy your new pants.
I ordered and returned 3 pairs of faux leather pants this year. I didn't like the fit of any of them on me...I will need to try this brand or DIY a pair instead.

  • Angie replied 3 weeks ago

JP, yes, try them! Maybe you shan't need to make them :)
