Quick Pic of BR Hoodie

…….since there was a lot of fondness for it today. Here it is in the blue, and I’m cooking in it at the moment! Very polished, neat and tidy. A chic hoodie to my eye. LOVE it! It layers very well.

Have the cream too. Washed on the delicates cycle in the machine with perfect results, so far.

Growing my hair.....

I always wear hoodies with pearls. And still on staycation…so see you next week :)

WE ARE TWINS TODAY!!! I have this exact sweater on right now.  I bought it a few weeks ago and have been wearing it often. I love the shape and the crisp seam detail down the front and back. Also, it washes like a dream.

  • Bonnie replied 2 years ago

    So lovely!

  • Jenn replied 2 years ago

I love it. I’m a fan of casual items made with more luxe materials.

Hi Angie, you look great in this hoodie! I usually wear petite 0 or PXS,  looking at the size chart of this hoodie, I'm in between PXS and PXXS, which size would you recommend? Thank you!

  • Angie replied 2 years ago

Thanks, everyone! BEST hoodies of all time in my book. I LOVE how neat and tidy the neckline is.

    Jenn, me too!

Kathleen, HAHAHA :) That's sooooo fun! Yes, to everything you said :)

Jz, I think we are a similar size, although I don't wear petites (I'm 5ft 6). I'm wearing the XXS in this, and it's still fably fluid. I usually wear an XXS at BR, JC and Madewell if that helps. So I say it runs TTS. My suggestion is to get the XXS too.

That is a gorgeous blue and really suits you.  I can't imagine wearing pearls with a hoodie but you pull it off so well.

  • Jaime replied 2 years ago

Beautiful! And not covered with oil stains as it would be if I cooked in it!

  • Suz replied 2 years ago

This is such a gorgeous blue...it is calling my name. :)

  • sarah replied 2 years ago

I have it in blue, too! I love it. Getting one for my 87-year old mom, as well, as she was admiring it the other day...It's comfie, yet refined. Great find, Angie! I might have to get it in white, too...

  • Star replied 2 years ago

Blue suits you, beautiful.  Happy Staycation!

    Looks good!

  • lyn67 replied 2 years ago

Love it with the pearls-think you was a loveley host, and I also love your table-ware/decor!:-)) I too love sweater hoodies, and have 2: one  a dark teal with front zipper and one in light grey with kangaroo pockets.

  • JP replied 2 years ago

Looks great on you and I like all the colors.

  • kkards replied 2 years ago

Love…going to need to check this out.

  • Jonesy replied 2 years ago

A lovely, cozy look! I appreciate that neatness at the neck--it's a hard detail to find! Your pearls make it 100% you.

  • Bijou replied 2 years ago

I love it - now if only BR shipped to Australia!

  • Angie replied 2 years ago

Thanks, everyone! I LOVE these hoodies. Soooo versatile and polished :)

  • ANewMindset replied 2 years ago

I bought this in blue based on this post and i love it too.

After wearing black all the time for so long, i looked at photos of myself recently, and i just dont think black is as flattering anymore.... (oh no!!!!!)... so starting to branch out more into blues and jewel tones to mix it up a bit.

Really appreciate the posts highlighting high quality pieces!!

  • Angie replied 2 years ago

Theresa, I'm waving to my hoodie twin! Glad it worked out. And welcome to Team Blue :)

  • Christina F. replied 2 years ago

I got this hoodie in blue too, and duplicated in black. GREAT for travel.

  • Janet replied 2 years ago

I just pulled the trigger on this in black — 40% off plus another discount prompted me to replace my old worn-out black hoodie!

  • Angie replied 2 years ago

Yay, Janet! I hope you love it :)

  • Suz replied 2 years ago

So...I ordered this and the pants that match! But on deliberation, I sent it back. The quality is GORGEOUS. Really, really lovely. But there was something about the weight of the fabric — the drape is great, but it felt a bit too warm/ heavy for my indoor life and a bit tricky to layer under a jacket. (It would go under a coat no problem). Plus I wanted a slightly longer, more oversized silhouette. I would highly recommend, though, to anyone who wants to try this.

  • Janet replied 2 years ago

Oh, I hope it’s not too warm and hard to layer for me — I recently got another hoodie (in heathered grey) that I love but it’s definitely harder to layer and quite warm. I need one that layers!

  • Christina F. replied 2 years ago

Janet - I don't find it too warm, but this is because we keep our house at 70 F. This is the compromise temperature, and it stems partly from years of being overheated in a pre-war apartment building in the winters. I suspect Suz keeps her home toastier than we do!

I had no problem getting it under a jacket, and I am one who is prone to sleeves being too tight on the upper arm.

  • Beth Ann replied 2 years ago

The blue is gorgeous and a refined hoodie is perfect for your style!  I've been loving a lot of what I see on the BR site these days, although I have yet to order from them this season. I'm glad to hear the hoodies launder well!

  • Angie replied 2 years ago

Suz, you will probably wear the hoodie now!!! It's gone all cold. It surprises me that you found it hard to layer with, though. My cream one layers well under my Boss suit, for example. Do you find it too thick?

Janet, I echo everything that Christina said.

  • Suz replied 2 years ago

Angie, it just felt a bit bulky under a blazer for me. Especially if layered over a shirt as well. I'm not sure why that is.

Christina, no  -- our house is about 70 (though sometimes in the kitchen warmer, if we are cooking). It has something to do with the humidity here. I find merino is the absolute best for me here -- neither too hot nor too cold. A lot of other knits have become problematic (for me) in this climate. I used to wear cashmere all winter in Ontario and could wear it over a tank top or camisole, if I wanted to. Here, I can only wear it if it is a top layer (over another layer, so, ideally a cardigan or a hoodie with an opening). Otherwise I get too hot and itchy. It's the damp air vs. the temperature, really, I think.

Truly, this is a lovely lovely item and I do recommend it. It just wasn't exactly what i wanted. I was remembering a beautiful Zella cashmere/ wool hoodie  in a textured knit that I ordered purposely oversized. It draped so beautifully, never overheated me, and the only problem was that it pilled like the dickens and there was no way to prevent that! Sometimes when you are trying to replace an item, you're not easily satisfied.

  • Joyce B replied 2 years ago

That is a lovely teal blue on you

  • Angie replied 2 years ago

Thanks, Suz! I hear you on cashmere and our humidity levels - it can be tricky. Merino is a sure thing, and cotton knits too.

The hoodie is not "slippery" for lack of a better way of describing it, which can cause friction when layering under a fitted blazer. I hope you find just the right hoodie! I will wear these for you :)

  • Christina F. replied 2 years ago

Suz, I get it. Our house is proving to be quite dry in the winter, so no problems for me! The climate here also gets dryer than in the summer.

  • madeline replied 2 years ago

Thank you to everyone who reviewed the BR merino wool hoodie. And thank you Angie for finding it first.
I bought the charcoal grey and I love love love it! Wore it this week three days straight. Comfy, warm, perfect fit for me in size Large. I am a 14-16 US usually.
This will be a winter workhorse.

  • Angie replied 2 years ago

YAY, Madeline! We are BR hoodie twins. LOVE mine too. Wear them a lot :)

  • Debbie replied 2 years ago

I love this hoodie in cream and hope to get to wear it this week as our temperatures plummet.

I am so glad I bought it even though I have hung on to it for a while waiting on the weather.

  • Helena replied 2 years ago

I just realized I bought a sweater the exact same colour, but it's a mockneck instead of a hoodie ... I love it, feel even better about it now! :)

  • Angie replied 2 years ago

GREAT, everyone! BR has been doing fab things recently. Always worth a look.
