OOTD: Tinkerbell

This is what I'm wearing to stay at home, and walk Sam. We aren't going anyway. Our walks and occasional pharmacy runs are very close by on foot, and we're managing delivery of groceries every two weeks.

Today was a tougher day. I was ready for a buzz cut this afternoon.

After a month of posting my quarantine WFH outfits here - you know my drill.....styled hair, make-up, at home sneakers..... blah, blah, bah.... :)

I'm REALLY into skirts at the moment, of which I don't have many. Maybe I'll evolve that part of my style? Wearing a roomy soft skirt with a sweatshirt should qualify as lounge wear! SOOO COMFY. I love it! Hence I pulled together this look. The skirt is bias-cut so lots of movement.

I add pearls and keep the colours pretty to feel like me. I guess this is a version of Sporty Luxe.

Two toppers, layered for the possibility of rain. Yes, I wear a mask and forgot to photograph it.

I give you Tinkerbell with a touch of Paddington Bear. (The outfit reminds me of fairies).

Thanks for looking! I'm off to finish cooking vegan hot dogs with fixings.

ETA: mugs that match too

So stylish! I would never think to pair yellow with pink, but it looks fantastic on you. And sweet Sam is as handsome as ever.

  • CarolS replied 3 years ago

Love the sunny yellow with blush -- feels fresh and interesting to me. But when you get to the yellow rain jacket (an item of clothing I absolutely covet!) paired with the yellow skirt, well, that has the power to send any rain packing. I cannot quite wrap my head around what would happen if I tried to cook or clean in that gorgeous skirt, but I am SO thrilled that you can, and do, make it happen. This look slays me!

The head-to-toe yellow looks great! Makes me sad that I had to give up my yellow raincoat (because of the heavy political associations with it in Hong Kong). But I can live vicariously through you :D

I’ve wanted to see that velvet skirt in action! It’s even prettier than I had imagined it could be. What a fun color pairing and the sweatshirt is brilliant. Cozy, stylish and fresh!! Love this! You look so pretty and Sam is handsome as ever!

  • deb replied 3 years ago

    Love it!

So pretty! You have the best graphic sweatshirt - blush colored as a great neutral plus lovely message with multicolored letters, that can play with variety of colors into put together outfits ( envy ;) ).
Sunny and bright rain parka - cherry on a top!

  • rachylou replied 3 years ago

You look like a high kicking flapper :) Definitely jazzed :)

  • Jaime replied 3 years ago

Your skin looks absolutely glowing! The colors are beautiful on you and you manage to make that sweatshirt elegant. Don't buzz cut (unless you really want to) - your hair looks beautiful. Not that I should talk - I resisted the urge to cut my own hair yesterday. I can't promise about today :) .

    Super super cute, Angie.

I'm in the market for a skirt like that. A slight A-line, probably a pull on easy fabric (knit or something with a bit of stretch) -- basically an update on the tube skirt. I love skirts and dresses, especially in summer, but they are just so much harder for me to wear for ultra-casual at home if very structured. And I like to avoid wrinkles because I spend a lot of time cuddling with my kitty. So...

I do have my Comrags skirt from the winter and it is awesome and not too hot for these temps, so I need to give it a whirl without hose.

ETA I totally hear you on the hair. I am seriously feeling the need to go after a pair of clippers!!!

  • Sal replied 3 years ago

Sorry you are having a rough day.....but I love the yellow with blush.  I wear this combo sometimes and it reminds me of you!!

  • Debbie replied 3 years ago

I like be this outfit on you! This made me smile!

  • Joy replied 3 years ago

You look magical. I am still waiting for skirts to be warm enough, unless worn with pants. On our walk today there was still snow on the ground and on roofs. Maggie got to make some doggie snow angels. Rain or snow was coming down in the mountains. We are approaching Day 200 of cold winter. With more snow expected in May. No gardening until June. The last snow was a definite set back. Still just trying to stay warm.
Love your bright colors, and neons.

Such a fabulous outfit and colour combination. Please, please don’t touch the clippers. Our local TV has people sending in picture and videos of some “at home jobs”. Oh my, some of the cuts....

  • Mainelady replied 3 years ago

Sunshine yellow! Excellent choice to brighten any day!

  • jussie replied 3 years ago

You look as stylish as ever. Love the sweatshirt and skirt combo! And I am also fantasizing about chopping the hair off right about now.

  • replied 3 years ago

Don't buzz your nice hair! I think it looks pretty- and the outfit too of course :) Yes to more skirts!

  • cindysmith replied 3 years ago

I love this outfit! The colors are such a bright counterpoint to the grimness outside our doors. I'm also really enjoying how you are making skirts so fun by mixing them with sneakers and sweatshirts and such :-)

  • kkards replied 3 years ago

I’m sure you are bringing joy and smiles to everyone you pass on your walks.  I know this outfit brought a smile to me.

  • lyn67 replied 3 years ago

LOVE you in skirts and interesting color and style juxtaposition, and you have had so much right:- 2 strands of those fab pearls are even better then  one and so so fab to all!

  • ChristelJ replied 3 years ago

Your elegant, down-to-earth, glowing fairy look is fantastic.

  • Helena replied 3 years ago

Best sweatshirt ever ... You glow in light pink! YLF!

  • nemosmom replied 3 years ago

Love this super sunny, happy outfit!  I think your hair is fantastic, too - but I totally get the frustration and desire for a cut!

  • Laura replied 3 years ago

Hope you feel better today - some days are harder than others! I, for one, had a full-blown inner temper tantrum in the grocery store. The experience felt frustrating and unpleasant and I was sick and tired of it all. If it makes you feel any better, your hair looks gorgeous in these photos. Take care and keep the tea and cake flowing!

  • Inge replied 3 years ago

    Comfy and super fab!!!
And the matching mugs make me smile even more :-))

  • replied 3 years ago

It's pure sunshine!  You look extra fab in this.

  • replied 3 years ago

This is great!  Unexpected, but it absolutely works.  I'm with Suz in feeling a need/hole for an easy skirt that is the updated VC tube.  Appreciate any suggestions you may have !

  • JAileen replied 3 years ago

I really love that pink jacket.  I missed the boat on that one.   :(

Sam is loving the pandemic.  He looks like he’s in seventh heaven.

  • Beth Ann replied 3 years ago

So......I'm trying to catch up on forum news, and this is the first thing I see!  Thanks for the cheery inspiration!

  • Joyce B replied 3 years ago

Lovely outfit. The yellow skirt looks fab with the blush top. It is an unexpected color combination that works very well.

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 3 years ago

Wow! Your bright outfits always make me smile, Angie. Don't take this the wrong way, but when I see your bright citron, I imagine that I would need my sunglasses if I encountered you on the street! I love that sweatshirt--just perfect, message, colors and all!

  • celia replied 3 years ago

Beautiful and bright ! I love how you create these great outfits every single day. I see that CEO Sam is still keeping looking out for the company, he is really adorable.
I also find skirts and sweater a nice lounge wear alternative but here it is still too cold to be comfortable without resorting to hosiery which I don't want to wear around the house.

  • hereforthecake replied 3 years ago

    Lovely colours!

I think that skirts and dresses are often underrated as loungewear.... When my co-workers comment on how "dressy" I am since I regularly wear dresses, I tell them it's like wearing a nightgown to work!

  • Angie replied 3 years ago

Thanks so much for the kind words, ladies. You're all sooo nice  :)

Go Team COMFY Skirts! I hope you find similar incredibly comfy and fun skirts, Suz and Lisa P. You shan't look back....

Joy, OH NO. Snow in May is for the birds, Hang in there :(

Inge, LOVE MY MUGS, sweet friend!

    Sal, you are thoughtful.

Laura, send hubs to the grocery store!

Jussie, great to see you chime in.

Bijou, Jaime and Suntiger, buzz cut averted.....

Sharan, good thing sunnies are stylish :)

  • Bonnie replied 3 years ago

Love this pink and yellow combo and vegan hot dogs sound wonderful. I've been busy with long walks and yard work but am taking the day off today. I decided to play in my closet instead and tried my olive safari dress with different boots but decided on sandals for this warm spring day.

  • Angie replied 3 years ago

bonnie! Let's see that cute look. Love that you were messing around in your closet.

  • Bonnie replied 3 years ago

Angie: It was fun! Need to do this more often.

  • Angie replied 3 years ago

Bonnie, KILLER look. I can see it look fab with your sandals!

  • Bonnie replied 3 years ago

Not sure about these sandals but they work for the weather today.

  • Jenava replied 3 years ago

Love that touch of velvet!  It's funny; I'm suddenly craving dresses with I rejected before the quarantimes because they were "too dressy"...Go figure!  And now I have to keep everything nursing friendly, which means only purpose built nursing dresses are an option and the selection isn't great.  I did just order a couple, though, so I'll be scratching my casual dress itch soon!

  • Debbie replied 3 years ago

As a dress girl I feel your need for more skirts. I am definitely looking for dresses. I went to order one earlier and when we checked out I was gone.
    I will find more,
    You look gorgeous as always!

  • Angie replied 3 years ago

Jenava, dresses and skirts can be sooooo comfy.

Debbie, it's LOVELY to see you chime in. I miss you. Lets look at dresses and skirts together :)
