OOTD: Sailor Citron Sky

This is me today, a little dressier than yesterday, in our Seattle home. Didn't wear my fuzzy trucker out - just inside for a bit because, why not? I felt like it :)

First of all: AT-HOME-ONLY PRETTY SNEAKERS ARE THE BOMB. Best sheltering and isolating style decision I've made. Game changer, so high five Becky. My feet feel soooo much more supported, and my outfit feels complete. (These shoes do NOT go outside because we don't wear outside shoes in the house).

Every clothing item here is new in 2020:

  • Sailor jeans with cropped citron sweater to showcase the buttons
  • Fuzzy trucker, pink Furla, and pink sneaks soften the sour bright and dark blue
  • Red specs, watch, pearls and make-up daily because I like glam! It makes absolutely no difference that I have nowhere to go but take Sam on his walks.
  • Styled hair that needs a trim, so am tucking the sides behind my ears. Ears can come in handy....

And guess what. Today I was able to do tree pose for the first time after 4 months since my fall - with little Sam in tow. I'm on the mend.

  • celia replied 4 years ago

So much to love in this post, starting with the title :)
I am glad you are on the mend, you and Sam look very happy in that tree pose.
You wear those yellows so well, it is always a pleasure to see.
As per your recommendation in the blog I ended up buying the same jeans and the sweater(mine is hot pink) , I will wear it one of these days and post.

  • Laurie replied 4 years ago

So glad you are finding your mobility again. It takes a long time to fix things, though, doesn't it?

Fun outfit, so "you". I have 3 of those BR sweaters at your recommendation, and am loving them - dressier than sweatshirts, but just as comfortable. The citron was seriously not good on me, so I will enjoy it on you! (I wore the light blue one recently and Lou said, "that's nice. You never wear colors.")

  • Mirjana replied 4 years ago

Wow, citron sweater look amazing on you. That blue jeans are terrific. You and Sam look so happy and I am glad to see that. Stay safe and in good mood.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Your outfit posts are such a ray of sunshine.  I’m inspired to bring out my brightest outfits.

  • Peri replied 4 years ago

I've done the at home only sneaker (brooks dyad clunky gym shoe) thing for years. Necessity is the mother of invention. I always have an inside pair and an outside pair.

But....I ordered those pink Eccos and they are supposed to arrive today!! I know I love the shoe because I have the black quilted ones from 2 years ago. I hope I can get enough use out of the pink ones. Since I mostly wear black pants I'm not sure. But, maybe this summer I will try a casual dress or something.

Quick Q...do you wear socks with them? A no-show pair? I can't stand to wear shoes without socks.

  • Carol B replied 4 years ago

Thanks for starting off my day with happy colors and a beautiful smile. You inspire me try new and brighter combinations.

  • Eliza replied 4 years ago
