OOTD: Puffed Carrot

This is what I'm wearing right now, (and yesterday actually) - Saturday and Sunday at home. We've been staying at home for weeks - in SEATTLE - practicing social distancing. We are good!

I wear my regular pretty clothes..... with my slippers. Showered, style my hair, apply make-up, wear pearls, specs and watch.  When I go out to walk Sam or do groceries, I pop on a coat, scarf and sneakers.

Navy puffed sleeve polka dot mixed media top tucked into olive carrot pants. Deliciously '80s, and the silhouettes bring back fond memories! Quiet neutrals ..... my way :)

Yup. Hair is due for a trim. I'll be bobbed by July with salons closed. Hair project!

(Belltown is our neighbourhood in Seattle. We are calm, productive, positive and strong).

You are a breath of fresh air in these trying times! Brings a smile to my face seeing you and Sam! Much love to the Cox Castle!!

  • Angie replied 4 years ago

Kelly, you are soooo lovely. Thank you.

  • LaPed replied 4 years ago

Love it! I'd wear this in a heartbeat. Still a little chilly here to break out my lightweight cropped olive chinos, but maybe in a couple weeks... And still looking for my perfect pleated pants (PPP!); looks like there are lots of good options this season.

    Cute as all get out!
I like the utility pretty look you have goin' on!

Glad you and Greg and Sam are doing well! Your pants go with your eyes, but funny to see your slippers :)

  • Irina replied 4 years ago

You are an inspiration, Angie, for all pajama dressed people like me :)

You look so great, Angie!  I love how Sam is looking at you <3

  • catherine replied 4 years ago

    You look good. Challenging times.

  • Janet replied 4 years ago

    You’re so cute!

I just looked in the mirror a little while ago and realized my quarantine style is basically Stevie from Schitt’s Creek. I told my husband and my stepson and they agreed. My husband was like, “oh, Stevie is totally you!” LOL

    You look wonderful. Stay strong!

  • Windchime replied 4 years ago

Cute, fresh, and inspiring!  And Sam, as always, is so photogenic.

  • CarolS replied 4 years ago

Yes, Janet. I'm totally Stevie. On bad days, Roland.... :-/

Sending ❤️ to the Cox’s!  YLF Angie.

Will live this trousers silhouette vicariously through you, Angie - find it very hard to veer it away from 'parachute man' on my wide hips & big bum, unfortunately.

As a side note, the vibe of your furniture is giving me slight nostalgia (mirror, bedframe, chair etc) - it reminds me of the style I see here in Hong Kong, but also in Malaysia & Pakistan. My mother would try bringing such styles back to our home in the UK but was always put off by heavy it would be to ship them over!

    Looking cute! :D

  • Jaime replied 4 years ago

So nice to see you fresh, smiling face (and Sam's also!). I recognize the way your hair is growing out - the short side is the first victim! I may be joining you with a bob soon enough. Glad you all are holding up well. And, of course, you look fab!

  • Joyce B replied 4 years ago

Lovely carrot pants on you! You have the best attitude during these tough times and Sam is delighted to have his family 24/7. :)

  • ChristelJ replied 4 years ago

Terrific outfit. I just love the silhouettes on you. Furthermore, thank you for radiating positivity to all of us right now!

  • Mainelady replied 4 years ago

Angie, your smile is the  best of all your gorgeous accessories! I love your outfit, especially the mixed media top. Sweet Sam and your slippers showcase some of the benefits of staying home!
    Stay strong!

  • Mirjana replied 4 years ago

You look adorable Angie. I love, love the pants, suit you perfect. Thank you for you for radiating positivity in this very hard time for all of us.

  • Jjsloane replied 4 years ago

You look fab of course! I too still get up, shower, makeup and hair and put on real clothes. With my slippers. I do this to feel some sort of normal (on work days it's partially because many of my work meetings are video chats).

  • Style Fan replied 4 years ago

Angie, you look as beautiful as ever.  I love your pants.  Nice combo with the top.  Sam is as cute as ever.  Your wall mirror frame (?) is a similar style to some of Mr SF's pieces from his uncle's estate.  Not sure where they came from.  Sudan maybe.

  • Karie replied 4 years ago

Fantastic outfit! Glad to hear you are all doing well. I am staying in and teaching from home, which is quite a new experience!

  • Liesbeth replied 4 years ago

Nice outfit! Thanks for your unending stream of positivity here. I'm finding it hard to keep calm. That slogan brought tears to my eyes.

  • Laura replied 4 years ago

Navy and olive is such a winning combination!

    Way to stay strong, Belltown!

  • celia replied 4 years ago

    Beautiful and positive outfit, Angie.

  • Helena replied 4 years ago

You look awesome! But of course you do :D I love the bit of length coming through in your hair actually, it suits you!

  • RobinF replied 4 years ago

So cute! Love the color combo and the slippers are the perfect touch!

  • Inge replied 4 years ago

Love the trousers!! Super cute with your blouse and pearls (and slippers;-)  Your hair is growing fast (but you'll look just as fantastic as it continues to grow, you can pull off any length!)

    Hi Sammy!!

  • Suz replied 4 years ago

You look great, Angie. I LOVE the trousers and hope to get a pair! They look fun and comfy. Top is really pretty too. (As for Sam, he is ever-adorable). It's great to see you in your work-from-home attire. Thanks for that.

  • anchie replied 4 years ago

Looking great as always, seems that nothing can stop you. I am trying to zoom to see what have you done with the belt?

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 4 years ago

Angie, you and Sam are so cute! Your hair is looking fine. Yes, this no-salon thing is going to be a challenge. A fun one, though, and among the least of our concerns, right?

  • Preppy Pear replied 4 years ago

Fabulous pants! I’m very tempted. Thanks for sharing them in action!

  • taylor replied 4 years ago

Looking fun and fabulous...Sam too !

The trousers are really nice.  I love the fit and style !

  • replied 4 years ago

A breath of fresh air indeed, and I bet Greg appreciates the effort you put into looking the way you do at home. I know my husband and I have an unspoken "rule" about getting dressed first thing in the morning .  I don't want to see him unshaven and in sweats, and I accord him the same respect.  Love that sweater - super cute !

  • Angie replied 4 years ago

Thanks so much for the awfully kind words, compliments, and giggles. They are therapeutic. Sam thanks you too. You are all soooo nice.

La Ped, I knew you’d like this since the look bleeds into the early ‘90s. Cute wide crops :)

Smittie, Pretty Utility is a fab description!

Suntiger, YES. I have olive eyes. I don’t like wearing olive close to my face though……

Zaeobi and Style Fan, you have a keen eye. Our home decor is a  mix of Scandinavian Modern, and Asian antiques. We have been collecting for decades from our travels.

Jaime, Firecracker and Inge, we’ll be comparing notes on our imminent bobs soon. HAHAHAH. It’s just hair.  We will get through it :)

Joyce, Sam is SOOOO happy to be with us all the time.

Suz and Preppy Pear, I got the pants in tan too. I LOVE the silhouette. They fit perfectly. I bet you will like them too. Very soft and comfy despite the woven fabric. The fabric is sueded.

Lisa P, I appreciate that Greg has always been very complimentary of my style. I like your “unspoken rule” with hubs!

anchie, here is a close-up of how I tie the belt. Very '80s.
