NAS 2024 KEEPERS! (Lots of Pics)

I made final decisions!

Did a fun fashion show for Greg, Sam, and Jo yesterday and this was the cream that rose to the top. I much appreciate how my hubs takes great interest in my style and is very supportive!

Scored 9 KILLER-to-me items. I had a great NAS!

Some of the items were on my shopping list. Others are wardrobe essential no-brainers. The rest - unexpected wildcards! I would never have ordered these wildcards online. They found me in stores in person as I passed them by.

I got 6 items on my original NAS 2024 wishlist. I tried everything on the list - apart from the red Reiss pants (still sold out). The other items are great for someone else ;)

Excuse the terrible pics in our rental unit. Awful light and mirror, but you'll get an idea. I integrated the two pairs of shoes and belt into the outfits:

1. Navy L'Agence Patterned Silk Blouse: This is my 4th patterned blouse from the brand because I feel magical is this type of punchy classic top :) Very fluid fit. #Greg's fave!

2. Blue AllSaints Mesh Top: My 2nd one. I love alluring sheer tops! Great with suits too.

3. Whiskey Paige Ruffled Sweater: Wildcard. Layers well as seen in the photo with the jacket. Decided it's not seasonally confused! #Greg's fave!

4. Toffee Dressy Pants: Unexpected wardrobe essential. #Greg's fave!

5. Pink L'Agence Tweed Jacket: Wildcard. I adore neon! And the playful colours in this classic silhouette had my name on it.  Very fun neon lining. #Greg's fave!

6. Gold Mary Janes: On my shopping list. Wardrobe hole. Worn them four times already!

7. Cream Loafers: no-brainer wardrobe essential.

8. Cream AllSaints Belt: no-brainer wardrobe essential.

9. Blush Cashmere Scarf: to replace a blush scarf that's itchy.

My 2024 NAS is done unless the red Reiss pants come back into stock.

Thanks for looking! xo

These all look so great on you! Congrats on a great sale season! Isn’t it nice to have a partner who enjoys supporting your style goals?

  • Tanya replied 1 month ago

You look amazing in everything!  And how fab that Greg tells you his faves.

The pink jacket with pink boots is an especially fun combo.

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Janet, thanks and YES! Greg's support and interest makes my style and shopping even more fun! Like you with your hubs Jamie, I trust Greg's opinion implicitly :)

Tanya, thank you! I'm blushing. And fortuitously, the pink boots are an excellent match with the new pink jacket.

  • Roberta replied 1 month ago

Well, everything looks like it's in order here! I particularly like that toffee sweater and pants combo, which is just that little bit of unexpected and yet so elegant. The other things are perfect for you also, that chain print blouse is such a classic and suits you so well.

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Thanks for the kind and sweet words, Roberta! Much appreciated. Greg is high fiving you because #12 was one of his favourite combinations, and he loves that navy chain print blouse ;)

  • Suz replied 1 month ago

Have you ever had a great NAS!!! WOW! Congrats on finding such beautiful pieces, all of which look perfect for you. Seeing it in full-length outfit pics, I love the whiskey peplum sweater even more -- it's just fantastic on you. No wonder Greg loves it, and what a fab neutral outfit for you with the whiskey pants.

But oh-- the L'Agence blouse and jacket have my heart! The jacket is just superb -- a really nice 3 season piece for you, working with so many items in the closet. Ditto on the blouse -- the colours and the pattern are sublime on you.

I hope the red pants show up for you to try, but even if they don't, you have a winning set of items here!

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Thanks, Suz, for your generous, thoughtful, and sweet words! I'm smiling!

The more I wore the Paige sweater, the more I could not part with it ;) - SUCH a wildcard! And a very fun one.

So is the other wildcard - your favourite pink jacket. Yes to it being a good Seattle piece. I'm excited to wear it!

  • MsMaven replied 1 month ago

Wonderful stuff. I love the pink jacket. Perfect for you!

  • Debbie replied 1 month ago

You have had a stellar NAS. Everything looks amazing on you especially the ruffle sweater and the pink jacket.

I am so happy for you.

  • Carol replied 1 month ago

The drape on those toffee dress pants is something else. If you can wear those without stepping on them, you'll be unstoppable.

  • Sal replied 1 month ago

Great finds and very true to your style - but yet a bit different too!  Love your hair tied back.

Well done on a successful sale!

  • Jaime replied 1 month ago

What great picks! I love the pink jacket, the gold shoes, and outfits #9 and #11 and #15 (among others!). The tops are fab too! Woohoo, thanks for sharing!

  • gryffin replied 1 month ago

Wow all gorgeous on you!! Love the tweed jacket! Fabulous with your coloring! No Boss coat? That was a beauty. But I’m so glad you kept the sweater. Love. Wish I could wear ruching. The Allsaints looks fab. But last years looked dreadful on me. Just don’t have the right body type. So super happy you will be rocking it!!

  • Jenny H replied 1 month ago

What a great sale! I'm inspired by your finds and with how you have styled them. I love that Greg is so supportive and into it!

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

    Thanks, everyone! I'm smiling.

MsMaven, it must have been waiting for me ;)

Debbie, you're a sweetheart! Appreciate the kind compliments, and your faves are Greg's faves!

Carol, you made me laugh! The pants are a better length with my boots ;)

Sal, what a lovely thing to say! Much appreciated.

Jaime, your excitement is contagious and exciting! Wooohooo!

Gryffin, the Boss coat was not a perfect fit in either size. Pity! I had hoped it would be. Oh well! I can't imagine ruching and the AllSaints mesh top not working on you. How so?

Jenny H, I'm humbled to have inspired you! Appreciate your kind words.

  • April replied 1 month ago

Ditto to all the happiness and compliments above but here comes a serious question: is our fearless leader still operating on a strict "one in/ one out" policy?

Totally understandable if that is on suspension until you're back in your own loft in 2 or 3 years - insert wry face emoji - but I can't bear to think about what's going. Do you have it all worked out? Or will one in/one out be no longer necessary in the new and improved Cox Castle?

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 1 month ago

    Super fun fashion show, Angie--thanks!
You have such wonderful support acts for all these new pieces. It's instructive to see how seamlessly they fit into your wardrobe.
The patterned silk blouse IS magical on you. I love how you take it in a 70s direction with the lower-rise flares, white belt and loafers and then create an of-the-moment outfit with the lantern jeans, gold belt and squared-off Mary Janes.
The pink booties surprised me--what a great match for your new jacket.
The peplum pullover is terrific on you. I think it looks especially good with your hair (both style and dark-blonde color).

  • Mary Beth (formerly LBD) replied 1 month ago

That is a jaw-dropping fantabulous collection!  Angie, you look marvelous!

  • Runcarla replied 1 month ago

Awesome additions to your colourful closet.  Love the toffee items especially.

  • Star replied 1 month ago

Lovely pieces Angie!  I especially love the pink jacket paired with the toffee pants, an unexpected colour pairing for me, so good.

  • kkards replied 1 month ago

    Fabulous!

Love that the blue blouse plays to your equestrian side.  Saw the pink jacket IRL yesterday, and it is fab, so much better in person than the Nordies stock photos.  And you can’t go wrong with good solid basics.

  • Dee replied 1 month ago

How wonderful, everything is just gorgeous on you. Love the equestrian navy chain blouse, I once owned a similar blouse and always enjoyed wearing it. The peplum top looks terrific, especially love the toffee colour with a dark denim. Heck every item is fab!! You done well.

  • Olive Green replied 1 month ago

Love your hair tied back in the sexy librarian toffee outfit!

  • RobinF replied 1 month ago

Oh wow, what nice pieces! Love the wildcards the most! And they way everything will work with your existing items is amazing.

  • ChristelJ replied 1 month ago

You have unearthed some real beauties here. It's a treat to see what you choose and how you style things. I can't tear my eyes away from the peplum sweater, especially the way you wear it in photo 10. That is an ultra cool look! I also love the way the pink jacket fits you with the sassy shoulder pads, and I think the mesh top is so elegant on you. I could go on and on. The best part is seeing how much you enjoy your finds!

  • delurked replied 1 month ago

Excellent NAS. The shoes in particular will work so well for you, and I like the toffee you’ve added into your wardrobe.

I am still waiting for a few items to try (stalked a couple items initially sold out).

  • LJP replied 1 month ago

The peplum sweater with the dark jeans and gold mary janes is  my favourite!  That sweater will go with everything and will go anywhere= smart purchase :)

  • Bonnie replied 1 month ago

Love seeing your picks every year and these are terrific.

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Thanks for chiming in, and for the kind words, everyone! The peplum jumper, pink jacket, and navy blouse are quite the faves ;)

April, good question! And YES! I practice what I preach. Here's my answer:

I brought ALL my clothes - and I mean every item - to the rental unit. Plus 95% of my shoes, and 50% of my bags. I need to be in control of my wardrobe! I am very aware of keeping it a certain size. We did a gigantic edit of everything in our lives in 2023 and that includes our wardrobes. I passed on a lot of blazers, coats, shoes and knitwear. As a result, there is plenty of room for additions, AND the wardrobe space in our rental is smaller. So it's extra under control :)

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Sharan, such an engaged, lovely, and thoughtful comment! Much appreciated. Fun that you recognized the '70s vibe with my trouser jeans. They are a low mid rise, and feel very low!

ChristelJ, you are very generous with your words! What a pleasure. I'm blushing.....

Mary Beth, your enthusiasm makes me happy! :)

Carla, bonnie, Star, Lisa P, and RobinF, thanks for the kind words! It's fun to wear whiskey with my new darker hair.

kkards and Dee, yes! The navy blouse panders to my equestrian side, although it's chains, and not reins and bits. Gives the same vibe, doesn't it! You are astute to notice.

delurked, we enjoy the same type flat shoes! Hope you get your items soon.

Olive Green, you crack me up ;)

  • Ginger replied 1 month ago

That Paige sweater and toffee pants combination is so interesting and unexpected for you! Definitely a winner.

Did you have a chance to try the Western varsity/bomber jacket? It's been almost solidly sold out for me ever since the sale started.

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Ginger, I had it on order, but it was cancelled. I lost interest after the neon pink jacket found me! So I have not seen it in person.

  • anchie replied 1 month ago

You had a great NAS, lucky you! I especially like pink jacket, I especially like pink tweed jacket, toffee pants and ruffled sweater. Would they work all together?

  • Jonesy replied 1 month ago

Gorgeous items! It's so fun to see you mix and match your new purchases with what you already have--everything fits in so seamlessly. The toffee sweater and pants look fab with your natural hair color (what's not to like about a short-sleeved sweater :)?), and the pink tweed jacket fits immaculately; its vibrancy suits you! I love those print silk blouses too--they seem like they are becoming a signature part of your style.

You look fab! My commiseration with your extended renovations timeline.

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

anchie, the palette works well - see pic #16! - but the sleeves of the whiskey jumper are bulky for that particular jacket. It works well under other jackets though - see #9 and #10 ;)

Jonesy, wonderful to see you chime in! As our Queen Pattern, it's extra lovely that you like the these vivid L'Agence silk patterns too :) Thanks for the always generous words and kind compliments! Appreciate the remodel commiseration, and am wondering if the contractors have begun on your side?

  • Jonesy replied 1 month ago

We've had meetings, but the work won't get started until the winter, I believe (they've been a bit cagey about the timeline, which is making me antsy, especially if we need to find somewhere else to live for several months!).

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Jonesy, I'm sure you'll pack up and find alternative accommodation in good time! Wishing you luck and strength. Remodeling extensively is not a journey for the faint of heart ;)

  • Brooklyn replied 1 month ago

Love it all. Especially the Allsaints top. But you knew I was going to say that. I don’t think the sweater is seasonally confused at all.

  • Eliza replied 1 month ago

Winners all! What a happy NAS and high wardrobe impact collection. All of it so deliberately Angie. Enjoy it. I love your commitment to daily polish.

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Thanks, Brooklyn! Although blue, the AllSaints pattern and silhouette is your type of top. And because the sleeves of the sweater are quite long for short sleeves - I'm good to go!

Eliza, you are sweet and and generous with your words! Appreciate it :)

  • JP replied 1 month ago

Wow, you look amazing, All your purchases are winners and I always enjoy your outfits. I love the AllSaints Mesh Top and ordered it, but Nordstrom cancelled my order... bummer

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

JP, thanks for the kind compliments! There are some mesh tops back in stock so have a look ;)

  • Ginger replied 1 month ago

Thank you, Angie! It was only ever a long shot and now I'm losing interest in continuing to stalk it.

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

I get it, Ginger! I lose interest in stalking too. If it happens to find me at some point, that will be good enough ;)

  • JP replied 1 month ago

Thanks, Angie, I just re-purchased it. Yeay...Sizes were limited, I hope the size I ordered will work for me.

  • Karie replied 1 month ago

The tweed jacket is my hands down favorite! Everything else is beautiful too, but that jacket is a standout.
I didn’t have such a great NAS this year. Everything I wanted was sold out or the orders got cancelled. I tried some other items but ended up sending all but one thing back- a sweater, and I might end up sending that back as well. Oh well. Next year!

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

JP, yay! I went a size up on the AllSaints mesh top because I don't like things too tight. But if you prefer it body con - that's fab too :)

Karie, yay for '80s neon pink that matches your awesome pink streaked hair! Maybe you need that jacket too :)

  • rachylou replied 1 month ago

The mesh top is probably my favourite, although it’s a hard choice! Also: love your hair pulled back; it’s very polished!

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Thanks, Rachy! Lovely to see you chime in. No NAS puffer for you this year? ;)

  • citygirldc replied 1 month ago

Just popping in to say hello. I'll be posting a bit more.  You look fab as always.

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Thanks, Naz! Always lovely to see you pop by :)
