Last Day With Inge at the Sculpture Park

We took Inge back to the airport today. (Read mascara running). The month she spent here with us in Seattle was absolutely MAGICAL to say the least. We did SO MUCH fun stuff together, and the time flew by. Inge was a delightful house guest and we miss her already.

We went to the Seattle Sculpture Park yesterday for a photography lesson, and Greg snapped these great shots along the way.

Inge is family, and we adore her. Soon, we will be planning our next reunion. xo

I'm sad to read this farewell memento to Inge's visit. The photos are bittersweet, with their cloudy light. Such wonderful shots of Inge--could she be any cuter, cooler, or more charming?  Great shots of the sculptures, and whoa, look at Mt. Rainier!

  • Jaime replied 9 years ago

Gorgeous photos! I loved the sculpture park when I visited Seattle. Sad that Inge is leaving, but that means its 'time to start planning the next visit!

  • Deb replied 9 years ago

Interesting Seattle sculpture Angie. I love 1,4 and 5! Greg, Inge and yourself must be feeling sad today now Inge has returned to Belgium. Treasure the great memories of these days. l'm sure you will meet again before too long. From the other side, it will probably be nice for you all to get back to normal and get some extra sleep after the busy weeks.

  • CocoLion replied 9 years ago

When everyone was having clams this is what I visited with an old friend from NYC!  (We were co-workers and roommates 1985-88.)  I thought the sculpture park was amazing to say the least, what a splendid city that would build such a place on prime real estate, as a free place the public can enjoy.  I loved the tree that hosts other plant life too.

To hear that the next trip is being planned gives me hope that another gathering just might be possible!  The SSIF was one of the happiest weekends for me EVER.  No lie.  Inge is everything and more that I had imagined.  Fun, smart, generous and beautiful.

Oooooh Angie, what wonderful pictures!! (I was very curious to see how they turned out:-). The Sculpture Park is marvelous, and an excellent location to practice photography.

Thank you so so much for these very sweet words. I adore you and Greg, my Seattle family__ You guys spoilt me rotten and made my trip truly magical.

Thanks everyone for all the fabulous comments. and safe travel wishes. Saying goodbye at the airport was very emotional. I'm missing Angie and Greg tremendously already, but at the same time I can't stop smiling when thinking about all those wonderful days we got to spend together. I am a lucky gal!

I arrived in Amsterdam this morning, and am back home, and online again. A little woozy from jetlag, in the middle of unpacking (LOVE my Seattle loot) and catching up on email.

Debbie - It was an absolute treat meeting you!

Dashielle - Indeed! And yes! Greg and I were taking pictures, when Angie suddenly exclaimed: “look at Mt Rainier!”. It was such a stunning view with the light illuminating the mountain in the dark sky.

Laura - I so hope we can make it happen asap (and fingers crossed that we get to meet than too!).

Michelle - It was beyond amazing that I got to spend an entire month with my dear friends. And yezzzz, we need to make this happen. (and so wonderful to see you on YLF again).

Carole - We were so so so lucky with the weather. And I couldn’t agree more. I shall treasure these memories forever.

Viva - I am still so thrilled that we were able to meet up too. What a wonderful morning it was!

    Merwoman - *nodding*.

Tanya - I can’t wait to do it all over again, and hopefully you’ll be able to join us next time.

Oh Kari, thank you so much. Can’t wait to catch up with you next time (there will definitely be a next time;-)

Karie - I am already looking forward to that day.

Joy - You are so sweet, thank you (I also had to laugh about my expression in the fifth photo:-)

Sveta - (Hug you). And you bet!-)

Sharan - You are a sweetheart, thank you_

Shevia - Absolutely - I will forever cherish every second of my Big Seattle Adventure.

Bj1111 - We SO need to make that happen!

    Neel - Exactly.

abc - Our next adventure can’t come soon enough;-)

Diana - I like the way you think;-)

DEB - We kept VERY bus for sure, ALL such wonderful experiences (it energizes you, if that makes sense).

Denise - I remember you mentioning the Park, and it piqued my interest even more (love the park, both sculptures and trees/plants!). It was brilliant that you got to meet your friend in Seattle. And I can truly say that I feel 100% the same way about the SSIF. It was a dream come true, and you are an amazing lady!

Diane - Right back at you, sweet lady. I count myself so lucky that I got to meet you, and still find it beyond fantastic that you flew out to Seattle especially for the SSIF.

Claire - My pleasure, and it was brilliant meeting you too.

Janet - I can’t wait to meet you too. Let’s try and make it happen asap;-)

  • Angie replied 9 years ago

The pleasure was ALL ours, sweet Sis Inge. Glad you're back safely and soundly. Always good to be back home - thinking about magical moments. You are soooo deserving of these kind words.
