Favourite Things Challenge #1: WIW

This outfit is an entry for Mary Beth's "Favourites Things" challenge:

Worn to work with a business casual client last week - so I wore business casual too! On my feet running around shopping with a client all day. Outfit goes the distance! Very comfy.

I'm a mood dresser who needs to mix and match as I please. (Which is why the restriction of working within a few tight capsules does not work for me). Woke up that morning and was in the mood for a creative clashing pattern mix. This is what I ended up with.

Ralph Lauren Polo Pants: Favourite dressy white pants!

L'Agence Blouse: One of my favourite silk blouses!

Paul Green Loafers: Favourite dressy cream loafers!

Pearl Necklace: FAVOURITE!!!

Furla: Favourite white bag!

At least a third of my wardrobe is a favourite. My stuff makes me happy, and I'm grateful for that! :) I also have ALL TIME FAVOURITES like this blazer and white grommet belt.

Excuse the odd photo taking area in our rented unit with bad light. It is what it is....

Thanks for the fun challenge, Mary Beth! Thanks for looking. xo

I am the one to use ALL the exclamation points, but then I try to discipline myself to go back and edit out a bunch.  I love the unbridled enthusiasm for fashion and wearing what you love and enjoying it all!!!

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Suz and slim cat, such uplifting and happy reations! Thanks so much! How can I not smile reading them :) - especially with the reference to sunsets and sorbets. Delightful.

  • Jaime replied 1 month ago

  • Brooklyn replied 1 month ago

What a smashing compilation of favourites! I love the pink and orange together. I think a third of my wardrobe might be favourites too. Then there are favourite favourites…

  • Sal replied 1 month ago

Excellent outfit.  That's my favourite blazer too - such a stunner on you.

Definitely warm spring colours in action here.

  • Debbie replied 1 month ago

Very elegant with the white. You look beautiful as always.

  • lyn67 replied 1 month ago

Oh, I love you called it "a creative" clashing pattern mix--and it is exactly that! Of course is done brilliantly in all details! I can't get enough of your color scheme of reds and oranges together here(one of my faves), the accents of cream and whites-the pearls,  the coordinated hardware on the shoes, belt and bag-but the quiet  sheer glasses  and gorgeous hair! Killer!

  • Staysfit replied 1 month ago

Angie, I knew you would have a favorite thing outfit!  Bright, citrusy, classy, warm and lovely!    :-)

  • Olive Green replied 1 month ago

    That is pure sunshine.

  • Carol replied 1 month ago

Well, this has two of MY favorite things, which are pattern on pattern (the blazer and blouse), and loafers that stand out instead of take a back seat. That would be due to the, what is it. Horsebit hardware?

I also really enjoy those clear frames, which I'm lately drawn to. I like how they're simultaneously noticeable and yet don't overwhelm the face.

  • Mary Beth (formerly LBD) replied 1 month ago

This is so gorgeous!  I love the color and pattern mix, the hardware on your belt (consider me a grommets covert!) and shoes, and your eyeglasses, and the crisp whites.  Angie, you are sunshine personified!

  • Joyce B replied 1 month ago

Beautiful and fun, so well put together!

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

Jaime, Debbie and Lyn67, you are very gracious, and it's therapeutic!

Brooklyn, HIGH FIVE! You get me when I say that at least a third of my wardrobe is a fave - and then there are FAVOURITE faves! That's because we love our stuff :)

Sal, Yay! We have the same favourite blazer! I come alive in Spring :)

Carol, I love horsey-things, so a big fat YES to horsey hardware!

Staysfit, lovely to see you chime in! And I'm blushing.

Marry Beth, thanks for the delightful challenge, and for being a delight! Your positive energy is all sorts of awesome :)

Olive Green and Joyce B, that's so nice!

  • Bonnie replied 1 month ago

Love your Favorites outfit. The blouse and jacket work brilliantly together and it's perfectly accessorized, too. Favorites for the win!

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 1 month ago

Wow, gorgeous, Angie. I love those pink specs with this outfit. I had to look back at your previous post about them; I thought they might be new, but see that they are for specific distances, so we don't see them as much as in your WIWs.

  • Suntiger replied 1 month ago

Love the orange blouse! I don't think I saw it before.

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

    bonnie, you made me smile!

Sharan, yes, that's exavctly right! Different prescription for different settings. Thanks for the kind words :)

Suntiger, I showed the forum the blouse with orange and tan pants last year. You might have missed it ;)

  • SarahD8 replied 1 month ago

  • MsMaven replied 1 month ago

So fun and cheerful! This outfit makes me smile, and today is a day I needed a smile.

I am so cautious about mixing patterns. I need to take lessons from you.

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

SarahD8, thanks for appreciating the hectic pattern mix! You get how it can make the wearer happy. Appreciate the natural hair affection too :)

MsMaven, lovely to see you chime in! Glad the look made you smile, and hope you're having a good day.

  • JAileen replied 1 month ago

Wow!  This super fab outfit is SO you! It’s amazing how well it works.  I think it's because of the white.  Your hair is beautiful, too.

  • Angie replied 1 month ago

Awwww, JAileen! What a sweet comment. Thank you! (Yes, whites work well with brights. One of the reasons I wear a lot of white!)

  • kkards replied 1 month ago

The belt and the shoes. Omg so good.
Blouse, blazer and pants fab as well. Love that you have such a high percentage of favorites in your wardrobe
