Threw in another orange print too.

    Way too bold for me!!

  • Suz replied 12 years ago

I might need some time for my eyes to adjust...they are looking a bit like PJs!! I think I like them better when they narrow at the ankles. But no doubt time will change all of that. I love the printed pants idea in theory.

  • Victoria replied 12 years ago

I'm like you, Suz! I like it in theory but I don't think I could wear it-I think its a bit much for me. My favorite outfit out of 3 posted is number 3-I can totally see myself wearing it:)

  • Jjsloane replied 12 years ago

It's going to take a lot more convincing to get me to try this trend.

  • annagybe replied 12 years ago

    Love #2.

  • Queen Mum replied 12 years ago

You've been quite camera happy today ;-) It's been fun to window shop with you! I'd love to see some of these outfits on a real person. Mannequins can wear anything and look great ;-)

  • Jem replied 12 years ago

I don't think I'm ready for those. Maybe a wild plaid or something, but I probably just need to get used to it.

  • Ana replied 12 years ago

Yay! Just picked up my second pair of printed pants yesterday (although technically I guess they are denim).

  • Mona replied 12 years ago

I am still adjusting to bright coloured pants.

  • rae replied 12 years ago

I'm with Mo - I really want some, but something more subtle.

  • HelenInCanada replied 12 years ago

Dipping my toe in the waters...I think #3 will do it for me! I DO love the printed pants idea, but I want to find a print that speaks to me! :)

  • kellygirl replied 12 years ago

Mmm, love the blouse in 3. I'm going to enjoy the printed pant trend vicariously through others.

  • Lisa replied 12 years ago

I like the printed top and the bolder colors. But these printed pants look like PJ bottoms to me. I guess I need to adjust.

  • Inge replied 12 years ago

I'm a bit scared of these, but absolutely digging the trend. Hope to find my perfect pair. And I really love the orange + bright pink colour combo in the last outfit.

  • Janet replied 12 years ago

My first reaction is "Cool!" I wore a pair of pants quite like #1 but in shades of blue, turquoise, green and black, back in the 90s when printed/patterned pants were last in style.

However, in retrospect, I'm not sure they were the most flattering thing on me, so I would tread cautiously into this trend, if at all. I'm just not sure how well patterns on the lower half flatter a body that tends to look pear-ish.

  • cjh replied 12 years ago

Janet wore them in the 90's, and I wore them in the 70's!! In fact I made a pair of pants from a bright Hawaiian style print and wore them to death when I was in college. Every 20 years, I guess. I doubt if I will go that route now. But they make me smile.

  • JennyAnne replied 12 years ago

Wow! I think I'll stick with something subtler. I like the first orange sweater, though.

  • Transcona Shannon replied 12 years ago

I actually like the entire outfit in #2 - not on me of course. And I love the bright orange/pink combo in #3. I'm afraid the pants in #1 remind me of the bedspread my grandmother had.

  • Aida replied 12 years ago

LOVE the tops in #1 and #3, but I think the wider printed pants like these aren't for me. I'm hoping to find a slimmer pair of printed pants.

  • Charmian replied 12 years ago

I agree, window shopping with Angie is fun!

I don't think I can get my head around boldly printed pants, but one of the things that's already made my shopping list for this season are checked pants (didn't you recommend microchecks a few years ago, Angie?). We'll see how well these trends translate to asia -- I can't wait!

  • Sona replied 12 years ago

that combo in #3 is calling my name.

I think I'd have to find a pair of very tailored print pants to venture into this territory. Hmmmm...

  • Carole replied 12 years ago

    Over the top for sure!

  • Kyle replied 12 years ago

Yikes. I'm not there yet, but will keep an open mind!

  • catgirl replied 12 years ago

I can't wait a second more to find a pair of these in my size and price range!

  • Angie replied 12 years ago

Girl X, I am still all over micro checked pants :)

We'll discuss these pants in detail soon!

  • bj1111 replied 12 years ago

i wanted the leopard jacquard print pants from jcrew, but they blew out of the store. hoping they get similar ones in the future.

  • D'Ellen replied 12 years ago

I hooted when I saw the pants in pic #1. I bought a pair of very similar tropical print pants last summer at a local boutique...deeply discounted. I loved them on sight, but they looked so 90's to me and I couldn't imagine where I'd wear them. They were cheap enough that I bought them anyway and wore them on our boat and loungeing at home. Maybe this summer I can actually wear them in public???

Love the top in pic #3!!!

  • Heather replied 12 years ago

    Sign me up, please!!!

  • Jonesy replied 12 years ago

I love #2 especially! Bring on the printed pants!

  • taylor replied 12 years ago

    I am with Inge...scared to death!! :)

  • Joy replied 12 years ago

I wore bright pants in the 50's (well, pedalpushers). I like #3 best but the eye is still adjusting and this time around I'll probably enjoy these on others.

  • replied 12 years ago

As a person that is quite minimalist, you would think I would be opposed to printed pants. But surprisingly, I am quite taken with them. What is going on with me? I want them...or at least try them. I am shocked!

  • catgirl replied 12 years ago

I just want to add, I've recently figured out that as an IT, my flair and pattern is best left to my bottom half. I've always done that instinctually with skirts, but now I know why. Pants will be even more fun! I just hope there's something out there for petites...

  • Kari replied 12 years ago

Not sure the printed pants are for me, but love both orange tops!

  • Andrea B. replied 12 years ago

I love look 1, but how do you keep it from looking matronly on an older, less whippet-like frame?

  • chewyspaghetti replied 12 years ago

These just seem so unfriendly to anyone who isn't in love with their lower half.

  • rachylou replied 12 years ago

I'm excited now! I NEED to get out and go shopping. I love #1, although maybe I'd like the hem to be a little less palazzo style.

  • Vicki replied 12 years ago

Big, bold and nice for someone else. I think I'm print-particular and would know it when I see it.

  • Sylvie replied 12 years ago

I like the top in #3. I'm confident I could rock it. :)

  • cciele replied 12 years ago

Hm, I just remembered I have a pair of soft printed pants from Bali (via J Peterman). Maybe I should give those a shot! :)
